  • جمال وابداع ...

  • @aduomahzatsu И впрямь, очень впечатляюще - особенно когда всё видишь и слышишь из самой близкой ложи! Попрыгунья-стрекоза просто обожает seat-jumping :)

  • I can almost see the the blood flowing, and feel his agony - I'm deeply moved - and that small, even childish voice just fading away at the end... a heartbreaking performance! Thank you!

  • It hurts.

I guess, Il Primo Uomo, for whom was written this part, should be an really great artist - not only an excellent singer, but even also an stunning actor.

    Bravo, Your Majesty Philippe!

  • @JaRoWi1647 This opera's most extraordinary feature are associated with the role of Anfione, a vehicle for castrato Clementin Hader and a tribute to Steffani's employer and the opera's commissioner for Carnival in 1688 Prince Elector of Bavaria Maximilan II Emmanuel.

  • @CiboCeleste

Вы говорите по - русски??? )))

Clementin Hader...quite unusual name for a castrato...

    Thank you for the answer!

I got the info on Hader from BEMF Niobe libretto - they had published every possible detail. Well, maybe there were some German castrati, since there were some German Baroque, Neapolitan school composers like Hasse...

  • @CiboCeleste Clementin Hader was Austrian, formerly a member of the imperial Hofkapelle (according to Colin Timms' book on Steffani)

  • @sjuli17 How very interesting! Then he probably also sang in St-Augustine kirche that is right next to Hofburg, or even part of it - it faces the square with Marcus-Aurelius statue of Emperor Josef - Josefplatz...There is also a beautiful Canova's monument to Maria-Christina...Thank you for the information.

  • It was long and painful to watch , and convincing in his suffering.....from God to king and lastly to man and father. Philippe was magnificent in all. M
