i have some questions? do you get eaten by misquitos? how do you setup your ridge line and whoopie on your hammock. im gonna be getting another hammock and buy whoopie sling and a ridgle line but i never put one on before
Good vid mike. Did you make your own whoopie slings or buy them, and where from if you did? I am finding it difficult to locate the right cord to make them with.
There was no change of height there matey, just me packing away after sitting in it for the last part of the video, i use parts from the middle and put it at the end.
Nice set up! I do miss the sound of British Songbirds, beats the screeching Cockatoo's we get here! I'm heading back to the UK on Hols on July, might throw my hammock & cook kit in my suitcase and sneak in a crafty one-nighter while I'm there!
Very nice I always have issue setting up I weigh so much I almost have to have the hammock tight enough to pluck it like a guitar string. I am walking again hope to drop 100 lbs this year then I shall be in range to get any hammock off the shelf but for now I have to use a mosquito hammock.
Very cool. You made your own Treehugger. What else in the kit did you put together yourself? Is there a Hammock in the market that your really impressed with?? Thanks again..
Great video. I am in process of sawing my self a hammock out of 1.9 oz ripstop. What I would like to learn is how to set up that, tightening up with a ridge line above hammock.... Thanks for posting

I was listening to all the birds thinking how peaceful, then that train went past. You pitching you hammock along a railway?

@dmgm1970
Unfortunately most British woodlands run along side rail tracks nothing i can do about that im afraid.

Excellent job Mike.. Nothing faster to set up than a hammock/tarp setup.. You did a fine demonstration of why!

Nice quick set-up. Just purchased a grand truck ultralight trail hammock and going to give it a try and see how I like it.

Welcome Back Spring
Do the birds help, or hurt the set up times,
They seem pretty happy it's Spring as well ; )

Nice Mike ......I can't always set that quickly if I walk late and get tree choosy.
Nice to see you with the ol' hammock in the piney woods.

Tree huggers look great matey. Nice use of the biners and descender rings (water breaks) they make it easy to set up don't they?
"WHOOPIE SLINGS" Fun to say and great to use!!!!! You just gotta love what Arborist's are using sometimes. :-)
Good show Mike...just like Shug would do it.

Hey, Mike, get a slightly bigger bishop bag and you can leave the underquilt on the hammock when you take it down...
