They don't sound like Damageplan, but it really does amaze me that these guys used to be in At the Gates. The Haunted and At the Gates are so different now. What the hell happened to these guys? Its hard to believe the twins in this band were in At The Gates......or that this band once released "The Haunted Made Me Do It". They haven't gone to complete shit but......by 2010 they will suck ass just like soilwork and in flames. what happed to the swiss metal......why do they all want to sound so american?
They have definitely declined in quality, but I think they're due for a comeback soon. Versus was a definite improvement, and while I still wasn't impressed with it, the album brought them back to a style similar to rEVOLVEr. I think next album will be more of a return to form, and I for one cannot wait.
They are not death metal, they are thrash metal, with some melodic death metal elements. but they are not death metal. cannibal corpse is death metal.
