hey thanks! lol ;-) This version IS difficult to play, and that aspect is very important to all my videos. I want viewers to return to it. If I were to show how to play Smoke On The Water, viewers would only need to view it once to learn how to play it.
Actually its Gsus 2nd tuning: D,G,C,G,C,D.. Good for that 2nd guitar thats just sittin around... Keep rockin... im trying the standard tuning version as well..
oh yeah, I'll be the first person to tell you that the original open-tuning version is the definitive version and the ONLY version that "captures THE soundscape" and intent of the composer and band. When I created this video (about 2 yrs ago), no one presented a decent version in standard, open-tuning versions, of course, but I didn't want to do what others were doing (and doing it just fine). The original was done in Gsus tuning; to this day I don't know what it is!
