SF Jitterbugs:
I have a question:
The Time/Life 1950's 30 minute promo that is widely shown on satellite tv with Bowzer(?) and Julie have some short film clips showing people dancing.
There is a couple dancing to "C. C. Rider" (17 min thru the show) & the same couple dancing to "Sea of Love."
Anyone know the name of the movie those film clips were taken from?

Another thing about the 40's scene is that most people who go out to their shows don't dress the part, mainly because they don't live the lifestyle. You'll see them arrive to the shows like they're going to the gym, carrying a gym bag with a towel around their neck. It's not a lifestyle to them, it's just an exercise. The 40's scene would be much more glamorous if everyone that danced would dress the part. I love the 40s!

The good thing about the 40's jitterbug scene is that they have skinny girls and they can dance really well, however the bad thing is that they will just about jitterbug to everything and anything that has a beat, be it rap or country music. That's a no-no. In the 50's scene we dress the part (like the SF Jitterbuggers), dance jive, but we have the fattest girls, but most of all, our music is period accurate. We don't play any stray cats struts or anything like that. We play obscure 50's.
