A bit of a coincidence here. Talking to a college at work who is into guns. He was explaining to me how the inside of the barrel of a rifle is spiralled so that when a bullet is shot through it the bullet comes out spinning. He then went on to say it's been known for a long time that a spinning object such as a bullet travels further and straighter than a bullet that is not spinning. So the spinning phenomena mentioned in this video is known, applied practically and understood.

I am Dr Ross knew of DePalma's experiment, but did not wanted to touch it, instead sat there saying nothing or started obfuscating, Dr Ross seemed to avoid questions and points, and when he recommended reading NASA, well.... I think I can point out a reason for the discussion at 14min.

How can you even attempt to apply a subject with no backing behind it, to physics. That is an abomination of an idea. Drake's Equation is absolutely rife with subjective permutations. I personally believe that the conclusions suggested by his 'artificial' criteria are far too optimistic.
As regards planets with 'intelligent' life... I posit what I call the Cephalopod Hypothesis... The mortality rate of new-born cephalopods (planets) is so extreme that it requires an extraordinary number of them to be born (in the range of 70,000) in order for even two or three to survive to 'adulthood'.

If the universe possibly undergoes changes in its physical laws we would be unaware of that fact as we are a part of a 'closed' system...IE - We are subjective participants. We cannot step outside of the process in order to notice possible changes or fluctuations in the known 'laws' of the universe.
As per Newtons 'Principia', there is no way of knowing whether gravity is a pulling force or a pushing force. Either way, the effects would be subjectively experienced as being the same.

I found this debate to be quite interesting. It clearly reveals how closed off the study of our sciences has become to concepts which could contradict established beliefs. While many of you have called Dr. Hoagland the heckler of this debate, he did present research conducted by others which supports his position, and he has made some valid points which must be investigated. As to his claim of girders on Mars, I certainly doubt that any will ever be found.

A bit of a coincidence here. Talking to a college at work who is into guns. He was explaining to me how the inside of the barrel of a rifle is spiralled so that when a bullet is shot through it the bullet comes out spinning. He then went on to say it's been known for a long time that a spinning object such as a bullet travels further and straighter than a bullet that is not spinning. So the spinning phenomena mentioned in this video is known, applied practically and understood.

That being said, I totally understand his frustrations with mainstream academia, once a consensus paradigmatic model has been achieved, it's very hard for them to consider alternatives, regardless of data.
The good doctor is humble on the surface, but there is certainly an heir of smugness there, and his theological model is in conflict with his own scientific models

Its funny that they are trying to fool us with thinking that our cameras has not evolved anything in the 40 years since the first spacewalk, while all other technology has speeded up faster than imagination. We bloody well know that we have better cameras than black and white, or grainy red and green pictures that NASA shows us.

I am Dr Ross knew of DePalma's experiment, but did not wanted to touch it, instead sat there saying nothing or started obfuscating, Dr Ross seemed to avoid questions and points, and when he recommended reading NASA, well.... 'Never A Straight Answer'. I found him quite smug, and closed minded. The others I liked, raising some very intersting points, and Hoagland always asking questions.
Lastly, it has now been proven that JPL messed w/ the data from the MRO.
Not surprised.

I think I can point out a reason for the discussion at 14min.
Imagine the particles spinning on the outer edges. The non-spinning particles have a direct line to the ground. The spinning particles have a longer pathway but at a much faster rate of travel.
I can't do the math but I know if I am traveling around the earth an near light speed, I become more dense and time is slower than my relative counter part whom is stationary.
No new energy.Just a larger space with the same. Maybe? Comments?

I can't do the math either, but I'd like to point out that
a. the size of the balls are really small (I think Hoagland says they're the size of pinballs?). This means there's not much of a difference in the "pathways" of the particles at the periphery and nearer the axis of the balls.
b. the balls are spinning at a speed that's nowhere near the speed of light.
