Jeff Beck retired this one for several years. too much of a fan favorite, though- it was back on his 2011 set list. Band in this clip is AMAZING. Lee and Mike both world class and am loving see rocking the les paul, because it does make him rock-imho. First saw noticed him on an LP this past year at a NAMM concert. Simon Phillips is one of the great rock drummers, any decade- but he played a lot of high profile stuff (jeff beck/the who) in the 80s. good to see him BACK
John's sax-like synthe solo is awesome!

When they go to the interview of Mike Stern, he sounds and looks like Jack Nicholson so much to me. Its kinda freaky. I guess mainly his voice.

Freeway Jam was originally from the 1975 album BLOW BY BLOW by Jeff Beck. The song was written by Max Middleton and was produced by George Martin

Simon is indeed a great drummer.

The album version of this is also stunning. Simon Phillips lays down a monster groove just like he does here in this clip.
