I like the look of this 250cc Kawasaki, and I'm sure it's a good product, I just can't see the point in spending money on expensive after market accessories for what is essenially a learner sports bike most riders will grow out of very quickly. I'm also a great beleiver in new riders actually doing their training on higher power, larger capacity machines (Direct Access Course in the UK)
I'd recommend getting a muzzy if you like the deeper tone. I have a full yoshi RS3 on my 03' 636, and wish I had a muzzy again. But... I'm going with a Roaring Toyz instead. My girl has 2010 250R with the same slip on as this guy. For the 250R, it sounds bad-ass. Really deep sound, sounds awesome coming and going. But it's a 2cyl. and the exhaust note is diff. for an inline 4. If your not sure what you want, I'd go to a bike shop that's got a dyno, they know all types
Yoshi's are one of the best exhausts for the ninja 250r but too damn expensive! Check out my video of my new Musarri exhaust on my 250r - half the price but a bloody good sound!
Ok guys I no I'm not stupid. I no I need a licenses but I'm about to be 16. In a few month and plus I don't have a bike right now besides a 125cc dirt bike. An where I live u can get your motorcycles licenses at 14 only for a 250cc sport bike but then at 16 is when u can get up to a 600 or 1000
Yea I no but I can only get a licenses for a 250cc bike only so im just gonna wait untill I'm 16 and a get a licenses so I can ride a 600cc sport bike and up there is no point in down grading to a smaller bike you no
Ok bro I don't need a license to ride a sport bike and people I no who have bikes don't have license but 1 guy but anyway I am a pretty good rider for a 15 year old and not anyone can jump on a 600 and ride it good and dude you haven't seen me ride so yea I can hit tight turns I lean pretty far into turns i ride better then my step dads friends who are way older then me so yea bro
@WHATTHECOOK1 Ok "bro", listen. To ride a motorcycle legally, you need a motorcycle only license or a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license. It's as simple as that. Anybody who says otherwise, including you, are wrong. The reason people you know have bikes but don't have licenses is because the DMV will allow you to register a motorcycle without actually having a motorcycle license or endorsement. If you get caught, you get a ticket and your daddys bike gets towed. /discussion.
People like you are the reasons people hate motorcyclists, and why people get killed. Don't be a moron, there's a reason that you have to have your drivers license. I don't care how "good" you are. Of course you're good, you're a 15 year old male so naturally you're this amazing driver/rider right?
First step, learn how to spell and use punctuation. THEN when you're of age (which is 18 for a motorcycle endorsement where I live AFTER you get a license) start working your way up.
@Slono27 They only say that because noise laws are different for every state in the USA, so they don't want to be sued for saying it's street legal when it might not be.
Check your local laws, then find some data that says how loud these mufflers can be.
@WHATTHECOOK1 Anyone can jump on a 600cc and ride it, but to ride it LEGALLY on the road, not in your mums back yard, you need a licence, and in some places to obtain said licence you must first learn on a motorbike with a small capacity engine before being allowed to ride a faster bike. I'd like to see you ride that 600cc around tight corners, bet you wouldn't last.
hey im looking to buy a new exhaust for my 2008 250r, could you tell me what the yoshimura does for you? like, mpg difference, hp/torque, louder/softer noise, smoother, etc. And did u have to rejet it or anything? thanks a lot!
hey man i recently saw this great bike im not an expert on bikes dont know too much so im wondering where can i get a bike like this im liking the color alot man . also you think a bike like this suits me im 16 years old 170pounds 6ft tall ?!? replying will do lots of help man .. thanks for having the time to read this
@crisbnh13 i would say this bike is good for everyone under bout 220 (give or take) and bout 6'2 is prob pushin it ... i could be wrong ... im 6 n it fits me ok
I know some people hate on this bike, but most everyone that buys it is a beginner. In terms of looks, performance, and price, this is likely the best beginner bike out there to date. I hope to have one soon (just turned 18). Better to buy this first than lay down a 600cc two days after I ride it because I can't handle the power. You gotta work your way up with bikes. Ride it, get used to it, get bored with it, then sell it and buy a faster one. Nothin' wrong with that. Nice bike by the way.
@40ashort Thats why in europe every bike has to be restricted to 34HP when your 18 :)...so it really doesnt matter..you can buy a hayabusa (theoretically) but you have to electronically restrict it to 34hp
@BJNeutral its not alll about the power, dude. its about having fun on it...on a hayabusa, u would need a motherfucking skilled rider to have a blast on it (knee downs etc) but on a 250, man EVERYONE can have fun.. cheers =]
@40ashort I beg to differ, I started riding in July of this year. I started out on a cbr 600 f4i, I am one short person, ok? I am 19 and about 5'4", I haven't lowered the bike at all seeing how that affects the cornering ability. I haven't had any problem of holding it up, and haven't dropped it yet (though it will probably happen to all of us eventually). Shit, you could start out on a 1000 if you respect the power, it's all about how you ride. Selling bikes can be hard in diff areas.
@SuzukiGSXRwheelies I agree, but on the whole, I believe that you can agree it is safer to give a beginner a less powerful bike instead of a 600cc or more. Picture a friend of yours that's a great person, but they tend to be uncoordinated to no fault of their own. (If you have a friend like this then you know what I'm talking about.) Now, would you still recommend to this person a 600cc bike. They may respect the power, but one accidental wrist twitch and they are roadkill.
@SuzukiGSXRwheelies Don't get me wrong, I'm sure you could start out with a more powerful bike, but most teens these days do not possess the respect that you seem to have been so lucky to come to know. I don't disagree or argue that it is more than possible to start on a bigger, more powerful bike, but I wouldn't. I know that one day I would see that speedometer and wonder how high I could make it go, and how fast I could get it there, and..."Oh, shit. Tree!"
man thats a beautiful bike.i normally ride 600s but I like little bikes too . Its also not a one cylinder so how can some say its a glorified scooter? I hear those bikes get 65 mpg minimum.
Man I can tell its a dog by the throttle response, but the specs are just fine for a 250. I think I might get one as a second bike actually.. Crazy right?
@DrunkRussian2112 some people say its better to do the killswitch first then the key. less wear and tear on the ignition that way. i always do that and ive had no problems by it.
I HAVE A NINJA 250R 2007. I FOUND THAT AFTER MARKET PIPES FOR MY BIKE (FULL EXHAUST) ARE HARD TO FIND AND EXPENSIVE. I WAS ALSO TOLD YOU HAVE TO REJET ALSO. I TOOK MY BIKE TO MY MECHANIC AND HAD HIM REMOVE THE BAFFLES ON THE PIPES...... THIS WAS THE BEST AND MOST COST EFFECTIVE WAY TO UPGRADE YOUR BIKE. MY BIKE NOW SOUNDS LIKE A 600 ON STEROIDS.. THE PIPES SOUND LIKE IT HAS ALOT OF MUSCLE. YET NOT EXTREMELY LOUD. DONT DRILL HOLES IN THE BAFFLE LIKE SOME PEOPLE SUGGEST ON THE TUBE.
@yoamofior2 If you removed a baffle in your factory exhaust you should still re-jet it. The ninja 250r runs lean enough as it is and if it can get more air out of the exhaust that means its getting more air into it too, I'm about ready to jet mine a little fatter with a stock exhaust on it just so it will start easier on colder days.
@millcreekhighschool when i went to my local dealer Team Mancuso Powersports over here at Houston Texas they told me currently the kawasaki Zx6r is the Top leading 600 Bike in the world as of right now .. i think it is becuase it has the largest 4 cylinder . .
@millcreekhighschool if you are coming up from a 250 then they are all beautiful extremely quick bikes with more power than your likely to need for most of your riding. Have a look, have a test ride. For someone new to the supersport class aesthetics would be the deciding factor. That being said ive bought a new 600rr because i find the seating position more comfy and the thing is damn sexified.
This is just something I am good at. Quick to pick up on some things about a person.
The way you took the keys out of your bike, the way you tucked them in and held them as you put them in.. you really are proud of owning that bike. CANNOT AND DO NOT BLAME YOU!! xD
did you install the exhaust by yourself? is it easy? i am looking for the same one with the chrome cover between the pipe and the exhaust...how much?
i'd don't know, my problem is i had a 2005 250, went to a 2008 r6, after about a year, went back to a 2009 250, i know ppl will say i suck.... bla bla bla. but whatever, i just have way more fun on the 250, and yes i still have the r6, it collects alot of dust these days.
Im planning on getting a 250r just to start out with and then i'll get something faster later on but i dont know what yet anyone have any suggesstions? I was thinking of a yamaha r1 or a hayabusa.
@MichaelCC20 If you're just going to upgrade to a faster bike, it's more suitable to start off with a 600. It's like, wasting money if you get a 250 first, then faster later. Go for a Ninja ZX-6 or a Ninja 650r.
@MichaelCC20 Yeah, the ones that I recommended will be a bit harder to ride. If you're really concerned of that, and money isn't an issue, I would do what you were planning and get a 250r to start off with. I was planning on getting a 250r first, then a Yamaha R6, but I did some research and as a 5'11 190 pound guy, I'd look awkward on a 250r, so I'm just going to get a Yamaha R6 as a first bike.
It's totally up to you. If you really want to get riding down, start with a 250r.
I have the bike for 2 years. I have been washing it almost every week and there is no single rost on the bike. It is as beautiful as the first day i saw it.
Just so you know you arent supposed to use the kill switches on street bikes. Just turn the key. They use cheap electrical components that go bad in the switches.
Hey guys which bikes look better? Yamaha r125 2009 or the bike in the video. Please reply IF any have seen Yamaha r125 and the bike in the video. Thanks guys....
Thanks buddy for your comment. I knew the Ninja is faster and has more suitable even on dirt road than Yamaha r125, even I saw one in real few days ago. But I already filled out application to buy Yamaha on finance.
Yamaha looks better. But you can't compare them. Yamaha was always about the looks while Kawasaki make their bikes more track-oriented. Plus this is a 250 cc and the YZF R125 is only 125 cc. So this will top at about 130 mph while the YZF at around 80 mph. Oh and the brakes on Yamahas' suck!
Hey dude I knew that Ninja is faster cos it is 250 cc double times of yamaha r125.
However I just asked which one looks better. I have bought my Yamaha r125 3 weeks ago. It really looks sexy and is much higher than Ninja and even has better perfomance than Ninja except the speed. anyway Ninja wasn't bad either in looking. love both of them.
from this vid,, i see that bike look compact,, like it,,,

i'd don't know, my problem is i had a 2005 250, went to a 2008 r6, after about a year, went back to a 2009 250, i know ppl will say i suck.... bla bla bla. but whatever, i just have way more fun on the 250, and yes i still have the r6, it collects alot of dust these days.
callsfwdto911 1 year ago
Im planning on getting a 250r just to start out with and then i'll get something faster later on but i dont know what yet anyone have any suggesstions? I was thinking of a yamaha r1 or a hayabusa.
MichaelCC20 1 year ago
@MichaelCC20 If you're just going to upgrade to a faster bike, it's more suitable to start off with a 600. It's like, wasting money if you get a 250 first, then faster later. Go for a Ninja ZX-6 or a Ninja 650r.
MrSalenga 1 year ago
@MrSalenga thanks for the advice but i'm a beginner this will be my first bike wouldn't those bikes be a little harder to ride?
MichaelCC20 1 year ago
@MichaelCC20 Yeah, the ones that I recommended will be a bit harder to ride. If you're really concerned of that, and money isn't an issue, I would do what you were planning and get a 250r to start off with. I was planning on getting a 250r first, then a Yamaha R6, but I did some research and as a 5'11 190 pound guy, I'd look awkward on a 250r, so I'm just going to get a Yamaha R6 as a first bike.
It's totally up to you. If you really want to get riding down, start with a 250r.
MrSalenga 1 year ago
@MrSalenga lool DONT tell people to start on a 600. They'd lowside/wreck and kill themselves or the bike.

ninja 250cc is a ugly bike. Just look at the position of the bars the slim back tire, it just looks ugly. Hyosung 250cc gtr looks a lot more sexy.
acetelenta 2 years ago
Agreed. My hyosungs read tire is almost twice as wide and my handlebars don't sit on top of the forks like kawi's do.
Besides, the Hyosung sounds like it has more power with the stock exhaust.

Just so you know you arent supposed to use the kill switches on street bikes. Just turn the key. They use cheap electrical components that go bad in the switches.

cool. But i dont see the point in slip ons since the full systems are like 100 more :)

thats my personal opinion
maxshared 2 years ago
Thanks buddy for your comment. I knew the Ninja is faster and has more suitable even on dirt road than Yamaha r125, even I saw one in real few days ago. But I already filled out application to buy Yamaha on finance.
85864725 2 years ago
Thanks for your reply mate. I have already bought Yamaha and it looks really sexy. :)
85864725 2 years ago
Yamaha looks better. But you can't compare them. Yamaha was always about the looks while Kawasaki make their bikes more track-oriented. Plus this is a 250 cc and the YZF R125 is only 125 cc. So this will top at about 130 mph while the YZF at around 80 mph. Oh and the brakes on Yamahas' suck!
retardno002 2 years ago
Hey dude I knew that Ninja is faster cos it is 250 cc double times of yamaha r125.
However I just asked which one looks better. I have bought my Yamaha r125 3 weeks ago. It really looks sexy and is much higher than Ninja and even has better perfomance than Ninja except the speed. anyway Ninja wasn't bad either in looking. love both of them.
85864725 2 years ago
haha! No it won't. A stock Ninja 250r tops out at around 105-110mph.
