i have the old Samsung Omnia i900 and i can tell you, that was one of the worst phones i have ever had, i will never get any full touchscreen phone EVER.. until perhaps they have major breakthroughs on that part. i am just not impressed with the whole touchscreen thing, it makes too many mistakes and you have to be very precise and you know speed and precision don't always go hand in hand. tried it ones and got disappointed with it, not my piece of cake.

I use opera mobile on my ages N95 and it does not seem more responsive at all on this recent device. Disappointing. I expected the old arm11 or whatever works in the nokia to perform poorly, but either that browser isn't as optimized as it could be or winmo hugs resources.

Can you install Androi on this?

yo should test out the phones for yourself. i tested out the omnia 2 it's nice. touch screen can be a bit laggy but i think it's a good phone, compared to the eris which is also good. It depends what your are looking for in a phone. Eris is for running 3rd party apps and the omnia2 is more of a personal computer at your side with a lot of capabilities.

I have read an article that Windows Mobile currently 6.5 will be upgraded to 7.0 soon, which is to be an ambitious Microsoft's OS to get back to the market filled by IPhone.

And with the card reader, swype, and Divx, I am leaning toward Omnia 2.

And it is true, that Droid runs faster internet, and has much droid market apps.

The swype technology is or was available as an an emailing app for the iPhone just a little under a year ago. I thought it was ok, but I prefer just standard typing when using a virtual keyboard.
