  • @PAPERCLlPS of course mac hardware is better quality

  • @Hector947 PC Hardware is far more advanced than that of Macs.

  • @PAPERCLlPS that is just what you think but its not

  • @PAPERCLlPS that is just what you think but its not!

  • @Hector947 My PC has a GTX 570 in it. Compared to the highest end Mac Video card of a Radeon 5870, it's not even a contest dude. PC gets all the latest hardware.

  • for all u dumbasses that say a ps3 is better then a mac or pc, you oughta shoot your selves in the head right now

  • @FlUdDeStRoYeR94 u can play any of those

  • EPIC!!!!

  • Just shoot me now...Not the future videos, but the future comments by fanboys

  • Commodore 64 FTW!!!

  • Well this will be fun to watch.

especially if its anything like the 360 vs PS3 one

  • I bet this video was made on a mac...

  • What's the name of the music?

  • For Work Pc! For looks My Mac

  • I just want iChat :(

  • For $1500 I can get a PC (HP or Dell )with blu-ray , HD monitor , and all the other bells and whistles and shitty customer service;) or I can get a basic Mac with great customer service:) let's see...... MAC!!!

  • @bigbog987

Why would you want customer service to begin with? If you are willing to spend that much on a computer then you should actually take your time and learn how it works. I mean, I would never spend over 1000 dollars on something if I didn't know what I was actually buying.

  • PC for gaming Mac for everything else

  • @Birchie93

Why the Mac for everything else?

  • @MarTuv93 because for video editing general websurfing email general os speed it dominates but as a mac fanboy i do admit pc's win anyday on the gaming side

  • @Birchie93 People really need to stop throwing the video editing thing around with mac. Just because Apple has RETARD PROOF SOFTWARE LIKE IMOVIE THAT ENABLES BLIND TODDLERS THE ABILITY TO MAKE A DECENT HOME VIDEO DOES NOT MEAN MAC ARE SUPERIOR FOR VIDEO EDITING.

  • @xRoundEyex No im on about final cut pro and after effects run faster and smoother from my experience on both systems

  • @Birchie93

But OS X is worse than Windows for video editing since it can't utilize the hardware as good as Windows does, and yes, this has been confirmed a lot of times by independent sites.

I don't think any sane human buys a ~2000 dollars computer just for webbrowsing and emailing, even a 200 dollar netbook can do those things. Also, the Photoshop version OS X uses is just a port of the Windows version which means it will run better on Windows.

  • @Birchie93

You might say that "but professionals use Final cut to edit video, and that program is not available for Windows". That's half true. Final Cut is not avilible for Windows but that's one of the reasons real movie editing is done in a program called "Avid".

  • @MarTuv93 'Real' movie editing IS, in fact, done in Final Cut. Some people choose to use Avid. Hate to break it to you, but Avid is 'just a port' from it's Mac version. It was later ported to Windows, but that's besides the point. Same deal with Pro Tools (now also owned by Avid). In the pro music industry, you have Pro Tools and Logic. Not many Windows based recording studios out there and none that I would ever want to use. I'm sorry, but your previous argument just doesn't hold any water.

  • @lonewaffle

Then how come the number of TV shows and movies done in Avid outweighs the number done in Final Cut by a ton?

  • i hope LP is hosting

  • okay lets be honest, each OS has its ups and downs. Also, macs are incredibly expensive while you can get a fairly cheap PC. That being said, if i had the money i would get a mac. My family has used windows forever so im ready for a change and im interested to see how this showdown will turn out.

  • im a mac on a pc for the time being ugh

  • I am loving using macbook pro, and the os is really is the best experience you can have. But recently I want it to upgrade to core i5/i7 versions but I couldnt afford that price but instead I buy a core i7 asus gaming laptop under $1500, and therefore it have superior specs. I am not fanboy to none of the company but I hate apple overpice i5 or i7 macbook so thats my thoughs for apple prices.

  • @SaySomthingSmart actually the mac has starcraft too

  • @Stutodude ugh i hate ignorant people

  • @Stutodude "dont do long lasting". i know people with the same mac for 10 years. they are not fashion, they are computers. They build computers that their customers like, they dont care about pc users who already hate apple, they make computers that their customers will buy and use and come back for more. The reason they stopped supporting the 1st gen ipod touch is because they have a FOURTH GENERATION out, if company supported every generation or every product then they would loose money

  • I am a mac and pc both and they are both great!!

  • I'm a PC.

  • PC FTW!!!!!

  • mac win

  • U CAN GET GOOD/BETTER PCS (CUSTOMIZED) FOR THE BANG OF THE BUCK

    THEN MACS. END OF DISCUSSION.

HOWEVER, FOR THE OS, MAC OSX IS A BETTER OS THAN WINDOWS IMO, BUT U CANT RLLY GAME IN MAC OSX. SO I PREFER PC IF U HAVE NO MONEY BUT WANT A HARDCORE COMPUTER.

  • @xnakurax

Windows is better than OS X if you know how to handle a computer. It offers a lot more features and has better performance.

  • I'm a PC.

  • I'm a Mac, and a PC.

  • Make LP do it

  • Comment removed

  •  ALL DAY!!!

  • ok people mac is better than pc but the battle between windows xp and vista is different right away you know whose better.of course XP!

  • @MarTuv93 I'm gonna say you are right, cause honestly you just seem like a windows fanboy looking to do some serious trolling. So there, your are "right" Now please stop pestering me ok? have a Nice day. Nice arguments BTW.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

No I am not trolling. I list facts while you list your own personal preferences. Sure run away with your tale between your legs and ignore the flaws if you want, but the truth is that Windows and PCs are superior to Apple computers. Both the OS and hardware is better.

Thanks I know my arguments are good because they are based on facts and are true. Wish I could say the same for your arguments...

  • @MarTuv93 sure buddy, I'm gonna run with my TAIL between my legs, Pc's are awesome, I presented some facts, but you called them personal preferences, but hey, They are personal preferences, and, please Windows is full of flaws, and OS X has it's flaws as well, but you gotta admit, preferences aside, windows flaws are way more noticeable then OS X flaws, But hey, as you said in your eyes you don't see any flaws in windows, so you must be blind or something.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

    What "flaws" does Windows have?

  • @MarTuv93 Sorry mate, I'm running with my tail between my legs, honest, I'm done talking about windows ans Mac, I'm switching to Linux, Less hate, if you want to see what's what, wait till the "battle" begins, Cause it never ends I love OS X you love windows, because of, yeah you guessed it PERSONAL PREFERENCES, if you want to keep arguing find someone else ok? Have a good one, dude.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

But the thing is that it's not personal preferences, at least not the arguments I've said.

You basically say "It feels better and it looks nicer" while I say "it performs better because it has X, Y and Z features which OS X misses".

    Do you see the difference?

  • @MarTuv93 @MarTuv93 OK here's my final X: you can check out the Imac tech specs, or the Mac Pro tech specs and see what hey have to offer, so you think my arguments were not valid, well, can't do anything about it, all I can say at this point is that I am enough of a fanboy to try and make you see why OSX is better, but not so much t the point of wasting my time responding to every comment you make, so this is my last response to you, and I am rooting for Mac.

  • lmao lord of the rings final battle for the nerds

  • @MRNU979 cause Lord of the rings is not nerdy? or........

  • Man, this is gonna be a very heated "battle" PC fanboys, Mac Fanboys..... um Linux fanboys? But I'll say this much, I prefer Mac OSX i Think it's better than windows, but people can choose whichever OS they want, hell some of my best friends are windows users XD and while OS X has better graphic performance, windows has a wider software collection, up to and including antivirus software. so, and MarTuv93 I do have better things to do with my day, so one comment at a time please.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

That was a lot of text you wrote but I didn't see any real argument why OS X is better than Windows. All I saw that kinda resembled an argument was "it runs faster, I have tried it", but you didn't post any proof or specs on the test, you didn't even mention which program you tried or how you measured it.

  • @SmashBrosmike85 OK here are a few things PCs has that Macs don't. TRIM support Newer OpenGL Cheaper Easier to upgrade Overclockable Longer warranty More secure (not talking viruses) Easier to troubleshoot. More customizable. Higher quality (hardware wise) More programs available (but games and professional level software and no, professionals does not use Final Cut). Independent tests show that Windows is faster in benchmarks, with the same hardware. DirectX support.
  • @SmashBrosmike85

Hardware accelerated GUI (not sure if OS X has this)

SuperFetch (not sure if OS X has an equivalence but I doubt it)

    Supports USB 3.0

    Supports SATA 6GB/s

    more powerful hardware available

Always gets the latest hardware before the Macs.

You can easily take an old computer and turn it into for example a HTPC.

That's all I can think of for now but can probably come up with a few more.

  • Alternatively, you could compare $3000 of Mac laptop vs $3000 of PC... oh wait. There isn't any point.

Everything a PC can do, a Mac can do better. And the PS3 won because it's superior.

And as far as software is concerned, just run a different OS.

  • @agragorm

That's where you're wrong. A PC can do anything a Mac can do, but better. You got it the other way around.

Not only is a self build PC a lot cheaper and faster than a Mac, it is also higher quality since you can choose to use quality hardware from manufacturers like Asus instead of the cheap foxconn parts Apple uses.

OS X lacks some very good features that you Macfags probably haven't even heard of since you don't know how a computer works.

  • big surprise on who will win john4lakers sucks steve job's cock. Btw if you are going to do a comparison compare 500 dollars worth of an apple laptop vs 500 dollars of a PC laptop, oh wait you cant....

  • made in iMovie 11'?

  • This is pointless jus like the PS3 VS XBOX BY LP WE ALL KNOW MACS GONNA WIN. JUST LIKE EVERYONE KNEW THAT PS3 WAS GONA WIN.

  • I bought an iMac this weekend. It's absolutely amazing.

  • EDITED ON A MAC!!!! LOL

  • Mac is better, but yeah, that dude is right buy what ever computer makes you happy... even though windows totally sucks XD

  • @SmashBrosmike85

Can you please explain why Windows sucks? And can you please explain why a Mac is better than a PC?

I doubt that you will be able to find a single legit argument when Apples computers are better.

I am off to bed now but I will read your respond tomorrow.

  • @MarTuv93 I can explain why Mac OSX is better than windows, but I need more than 500 characters, but here's a few, Finder is way much friendlier than windows explorer, with the spotlight feature (wich windows totally ripped off) you can find any file you might be looking for, desktop is waaaay more organized with no icons and looks cleaner, the dock helps you keep things neat a organized as well, and probably the most important, Mac OS runs smoother and boots faster than windows, need more?

  • @SmashBrosmike85 that is true but you can play more games on pc, there are barely any games for mac. also, you can upgrade a pc much more easily than a mac. in fact, you can't upgrade a mac at all because you can't open anything up. and lastly, the most important thing is that pcs cost way, way less than macs. for example, for the same price, i can get a pc laptop with a top of the line core i7 processor while macs only get a last gen core 2 duo. need any more?

  • @xXxazndude94xXx true that, but it doesn't matter if you have a laptop with an i7 procesor, Mac OS X is made to take advantage of multicore procesors, and while now you can get Ibooks and Imac with I7 (they're pricey I'll give you that much) A dual core based Mac can still outperform an i7 windows based computer, I've done the test, and as for the games, there's not many games on mac, but the library is growing, and personally I am a console gamer.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

That's some of the worst bullshit I've ever seen "a dual core Mac is better than a quad core PC". That is a lie and you know it. There are a ton of benchmark showing the exact oposit becuase developers more often than not makes the program more optimized for Windows. Windows is also proven to handle threading better than OS X.

By the way, the i7 in the MacBook Pros are the dual core version. The only difference between the i5 and i7 in the MacBook Pros is the frequency.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

I would love to see the tests you claims to have run. I'd love to see the benchmark, specs and what programs you have running in the background when doing the tests.

I am not really a "windows fanboy" I just see all the flaws in OS X that people overlook, and to be honest, Windows 7 has next to no flaws in my eyes since 99% of the complains people have are their own faults. NO I am not really pissed of, but I am slightly upset that people lie about Windows.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

    "Finder"

I keep my stuff organized in a lot of folders and sub folders. I rarely have to click more than 10 times to get to the file I want to. If I don't know where a file is I'll just search for it in the menu, which by the way is one of the best features they added in Vista and 7 in my opinion. I think the reason you prefer finder is because you are more used to it than Windows. You can't really say that's a really argument since it is purely based on your preference.

  • @MarTuv93 I was a windows user, in fact you don't have to use spotlight to find you files, you can actually right click the icon on top of the window and it will give you the direct location of your file, and the new features for OSX 10.6 make it that much easier and faster to find what you are looking for, and kudos on being organized, I find my stuff very fast as well, but there are guys that never know where they put a file or an image.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

    "more organized desktop".

I see the "no icon" thing as a big waste of space. Sure you can have a pretty picture there if you want but why not add a few icons and make it easier to find your favorite folders and programs, that's probably why you need finder so much...

Oh and by the way, you can remove icons from the desktop in Windows, it's not exclusive to OS X.

You can add a dock to Windows if you want, I just choose not to since I already have easy access to my files.

  • @MarTuv93 you can add a dock with a program, I know that, and I know you can get rid of the Icons, I used to be a Windows user, but I saw the light, the icons serve the purpose of having easier access to your programs, I just don'r see why you gotta have all these Icons and feeling like there's no more room on your screen. bad answer I know, I just woke up XD

  • @SmashBrosmike85

First of all, it doesn't run smoother if you do a clean install of Windows on the exact same hardware as OS X. The only reasons why you think it runs smoother is because 1) you compare it to a PC with worse specs and 2) you are used to all the bloatware manufacturers like HP and Dell add when you buy from them.

As for the boot thing, just add an SSD if you care so much about boot time.

  • @MarTuv93 I've done the test with an i7 core procesor, vs my kind of old Imac, runs smoother, and I have to OSX installed, so, yeah I know what I am saying.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

I am not sure how fast your iMac boots but my Windows 7 PC boosts in about 45 seconds with a mechanical 7200RPM drive. I could probably bring it down to about 15 seconds if I added a cheap SSD for about 100 dollars, but I choose not to. You want to know why? Because I don't really need the faster startup.

BY the way, I think you are, again, comparing your iMac vs a cheap crappy PC from HP which most likely uses a 5400RPM drive and has a lot of bloatware installed.

  • @MarTuv93 Man you're really pissed off huh? I can see you are a windows fanboy, so I can say the facts I think make Mac a better choice, and you are always gonna answer "wel hey, you can get this on a pc for a much lower price" or "Hey, Mac is overpriced and doesn't have half the software windows has" True that, but the fact is Macs are made to last, and while they are trribly overpriced, you have fewer problems overall, see part 2 of this cause I ran out of space

  • @MarTuv93 ok part 2, yeah, fewer problems, you don't have to worry AS much, when it comes to viruses, cause it is a lie that there aren't any virus for mac, there are, but they are not as frequent, I know you can upgrade you pc anytime you want, and all you can do to upgrade a Mac is to add up some RAM, but fact is that is all you need, Mac do have a descent video card at best, but that is because the OSX does not need a video card all that bad to generate powerful graphics.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

Not even the Mac Pro has a "decent video card" the video cards in the iMacs are the laptop versions and the MacPro doesn't even have a real workstation card like a Quadro or a FirePro.

Wait, you actually pay for anti virus software? Microsoft is the leader when it comes to AV with their MSE, and it is free.

Yes I have tried a Mac, I had prao in a Mac store and I was very disappointing with the OS. I was already disappointed with the hardware so yeah... I am not impressed.

  • @SmashBrosmike85

Oh and yes I want more arguments since the ones you said wasn't based on any real facts, just what you personally prefer.

I want some real arguments based on real facts.

  • @MarTuv93 I personally prefer Mac OSX, it's better built, needs fewer care, last longer, takes advantage of multicore processors, and yes I am a fanboy, but I'll say this much, windows 7 came a long way since vista, for me it's not quite there. And you can keep on saying that a pc is much cheaper, well it is, but you know it's gonna cost you much more money, when it comes to additional antivirus software. So I know what I'm saying, do you? I've a Mac user and a Win. user, have you tried a mac?

  • Linux

  • iTrailers?

  • WE WANT LP!!!!

  • What is the music/soundtrack used here?!?!? (on the video)

  • @theotheraccountname It's from a site called incompetech. com

  • Hope this one isn't like the ps3 vs xbox where we had to wait like 3 MONTHS for a conclusion!

  • I bet this was made on a mac :P

    (imovie)

  • Shit just got real...

  • i don't get it! Thats this mean?

  • this channel is FULL of apple lovers, including John, so it's obvious where this is going.

  • You just had to. You just had to make this. You will lose a lot of people no matter what you decide. Unless you say some Disney channel crap like "they are very good OS I recommend them both", when you obviously love apple.

  • @MrDecillion well said

  • PCs are better for businesses and gaming. Macs are better for creative programs. Everyone wins

  • @JustinPiano09

Not true at all, but it is what Apple wants you to believe. You can be just as "creative" on a PC than you can on a Mac. You can even run a lot of the same programs on the PC like Photoshop and they will run better on the PC version since Windows 7 is overall better when it comes to performance, and you will have superior hardware.

  • Mac is way better. Pc can not even come close to it they are so slow.

  • @hawkeyefan1212 ....are you trolling, or are you just an idiot?

  • @sephuroth1

He is an Apple fanboy, of course he doesn't know what he's talking about. He probably think computers run on unicorn farts and magic.

  • @hawkeyefan1212

Please stop comparing the ~400 dollar dell prebuilt vs a ~2000 dollar iMac. If you compare a 2000 dollar self build computer vs your iMac then the PC would stop all over the Mac in every single benchmark you run.

  • @hawkeyefan1212 LOL really?? What old ass 1987 pc are you still using?

  • To Mac users: no one cares about fanboys so don't be one... with that said mac OSX has the better UI but not everyone wants to pay for hardware that is a generation behind and is double the cost than a PC... Not because we are poor, but because we would rather spend that money elsewhere. like buying a computer that has better specs and can Dual boot either osx or win7 or linux ;)...on the contrast for those that like the pretty cases and such, i can see why you go for the Macs and dont condem u

  • pc, pc, pc!

  • Why does everyone think that PC's are for poor people who cant afford a Mac??

My PC workstation was $8k. Guess that throws that excuse out the window.

  • @ShepperdOneill

My guess is that they don't know that there are other computers than the generic ones from HP and Dell.

  • cant wait

  • WTF, WHAT BATTLE? JUST BUY WHAT EVER COMPUTER YOU LIKE AND BE HAPPY

  • @ExileFox12 agree but i think this is for comparison

  • @ExileFox12 So true.

  • did u ever finish the xbox vs ps3 war? jw

  • @rockindaworld121

Yes, the PS3 won by 1 point.

  • hey everyone, hate to burst your bubble, but a MAC IS A PC!!!

  • @n0y0x

First of all a MAC and a Mac are 2 different things. Secondly, the reason why people say "Mac vs PC" is because IBM sold computers named "IBM PC" while Apple sold theirs with the name "Apple Macintosh", this happened in the early eighties. So it basically became PC vs Mac because both "IBM PC" and "Apple Macintosh" was shortened down. Also it is a lot easier to say "Mac vs PC" than it is to say "Apple computer vs PC with Windows or any other operating system".

  • @MarTuv93 MAC was in capitals because there is a lack of italics in youtube comments. It's meant to show emphasis. I think that is pretty clear to the majority of people. Today, the PC acronym means personal computer. For that reason alone, a Mac is considered a PC. A PC also includes Windows, Linux, and others. Its not easier to say "Mac vs PC", its only more ambiguous and makes for good marketing on Apple's side. All their commercials are geared for osx vs windows.

  • Jon when's your next giveaway (MacBook)

  • @ZOMGItsRobot

Please tell me what kind of "normal use" your Mac is better at. And what kind of "nerdy stuff" can you do on a PC?

  • @ZOMGItsRobot

"you don't need to troubleshoot mac because it doesn't have problems."

Then why does Apple spend money keeping the support open? Face it, Macs doesn't run on magic. They are just regular computers with a shiny case. The difference between you and me is that if my computer breaks I fix it myself. If yours break then you take it to the apple store.

  • @ZOMGItsRobot

Your precious iMac has the exact same amount of cables as my computer has. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't know what a modular power supply is, or if you've never heard of space behind the motherboard tray. The difference between out computers are that your cables are hidden in a place where you can't reach them while mine are tucked away where they aren't visible and does not interrupt the airflow.

  • @ZOMGItsRobot

Also, I am not sure what garbage collection the SSD in the MacBook Air has but since OS X does not support TRIM the performance of the SSD will drop quite fast as soon as you start using it.

Aluminum is not a good material to build computers in since it becomes quite easy to bend when it is hot and it also leads heat better than most other metals. By the way, my computer is made out of steel. It is more durable than your computer and has superior airflow.

  • You should have added "Made on a MAC" to your trailer, John.

  • @ZOMGItsRobot

The boot time depends on what HDD you have.

You are probably comparing the 7200RPM drive in your iMac vs the 5400RPM one you get in your typical prebuilt. If you compared the HDD in your computer vs the one in mine (Samsung F3) then my HDD would be faster. Also, I could easily add an SSD to my build for ~100 dollars and that would make it start a lot faster. It would be most likely be faster than the MacBook Air.

  • waiting.

  • Why are people disliking this? LOL.

  • All the keyboard warriors will have sticky pants over this one.

  • um ok, they both can suck, they both can be good, whats to battle

  • ALIENWARE !! (pc) VS

IMAC (SHITTY)...vote UP this comment for pc users !!

  • @ilovegames26 Alienware is crap.. Get out of here...anyone who runs around chanting about Alienware obviously knows nothing.

  • @ilovegames26

Alienware is very overpriced and doesn't even use good components for their builds. A self build system will be much better and cheaper.

  • @MarTuv93 i'm just tellin that even the high price of alien ware,a mac is still more expensive and has powerful

  • Comment removed

  • @ilovegames26

Indeed, but I still don't think you should bring in Alienware to this discussion since they are horrible.

Please ignore the comment I deleted, I misread your post.

  • @MarTuv93 hmm yeah ur right...but i'm a pc users so PC !!

and i choosed alienware cause it is powerfull so...

  • Everyone knows that mac is better, in its operating system, to the applications it runs, such as: Pages, imove, Time machine or Finder. The only reason that people buy windows is because its cheep.

  • @AirZeek099 - Yeah but I run OSX on my PC and it blows a MAC out of the water.

  • @AirZeek099

Please give me a few example of why OS X and Mac in general is better than Windows/self built PCs please.

This will be very interesting to see what bullshit you comes up with.

  • @MarTuv93 windows 7 is a shitty copy of os9 look at the dock above, looks just like os10 or 9. The big thing in windows is private browsing, mac has been doing that for years also spot light, windows has just copied that in every way. Don't let me even get on to the subject of bugs and viruses on windows. So don't tell me about what bullshit I come up with next ok... when your poor ass can afford a mac that you can talk, other wise shut up.

  • @AirZeek099

    Bahahahahahaha

Are you for real? There is more to an OS than just the UI. If 7 is a copy of OS X then it's a really good copy since it's better than OS X at pretty much everything.

What do you mean by "private browsing"? You mean like when your browser doesn't save anything? That has nothing to do with the OS you're using.

  • @MarTuv93 What I can be dam sure of, this that whenever apple bring out something, it will always be better than any thing else on the market, because they don't rush out they products, just look a windows vista its crap, I had friends that downgraded to windows xp.

  • @AirZeek099

Care to explain why Vista is bad? The biggest reason why people complained about it was because they installed it on old computer that wasn't good enough to handle it. Vista is superior to XP if your computer is fast enough to handle it.

Also, Apple do rush products, just look at the iPhone that couldn't make calls, or the addition of SSDs without TRIM.

  • Comment removed

  • @MarTuv93 vista sucks.windows xp,windows 7,macintosh are way better than vista

  • @theangrywiinerd

Can you please explain why Vista is bad? There are a ton of reasons why it's better than XP. Like fore example the support for multiple cores is way better, it has a newer DirectX version, the UI is hardware accelerated, a lot less security holes and the 64bit version is superior to the crappy one XP has.

  • @MarTuv93 the multiple cores that vista are not better than the ones xp has.windows vista sucks period.

  • @theangrywiinerd

Wait what? Vista doesn't "have cores" it split the workload to multiple cores a lot better than XP. You also ignored the other pros I listed, like the newer DirectX version and the superior security.

The only reason people said Vista was bad was because they installed it on very old computers that couldn't handle it.

  • @MarTuv93 still if you install it on a new computer its the same thing!XP is better!

  • @theangrywiinerd

Not at all. XP lacks a ton of the features Vista has. For example, the GUI in Windows XP does not take advantage of the GPU like Aero does. It also lacks superfetch and the 64bit version of XP barely has any good/stable drivers. Also, it was made 10 years ago so the multicore support is horrible, nor does it support anything over DirectX9.

As I said before Vista is superior to XP if your hardware is good enough to run it. Sadly, people installed it on their 10 years old machines and then complained that it was slow.

  • @AirZeek099 you obviously don't know what ur talk'n about all i have to say in i"M an ANDROID, vista is the shit like my guy @AirZeek009 up there said if u tiger or the latest apple shit on a piece of shit imac it would run like shit. just like if u put the wrong info on a calculator it will give u the wrong answer.

  • @AirZeek099

What "bugs and viruses" are you talking about? I never get any virus since I know how to use a computer properly.

Also, your computer isn't better just because you payed more for it, oh and how do you know your computer were more expensive than mine? You know that a custom built computer can cost A LOT more than a Mac, right? It is because you can get better hardware for the PC. There are CPUs that cost more than the whole iMac, and you can have multiple ones in 1 PC.

  • @MarTuv93 Why would I want to spend more money on upgrading my computer, mac already does a good job giving me all the things I want. When I got my first PC for playing mass effect, it said Mcaffe something , I was thinking why the hell do I have to buy a security upgrade...oh right windows does not do a good job preventing viruses. Windows will never do something right the first time forcing you to buy the upgrade, Its all about money with them.

  • @AirZeek099

"Why would I want to spend more money on upgrading my compute"

What? First of all, a PC costs a lot less than a Mac. Secondly, you only upgrade it if you feel like you need more power.

"I was thinking why the hell do I have to buy a security upgrade"

It is because you are computer illiterate. A person who is somewhat tech-savvy should already use a free anti virus program like MSE or Nod32 with a key from a random website.

  • @AirZeek099

By the way, Windows actually does a better job preventing hackers/viruses than OS X does. It's just that most people don't even bother caring about OS X since the marketshare is so small. Search for "Pwn2Own", it took a hacker ~3 minutes to hack OS X while it took over a day to hack Vista. Oh and Vista was unhackable when it was out of the box. They couldn't hack it until they installed some common programs with security holes in then like Adobe reader and Flash.

  • @AirZeek099

When you say "It's all about the money with them." can you please explain how you think?

Haven't you noticed that Apple also only cares about money? You know, just like every other company/manufacturer out there. Apple doesn't care about you, they care about your money, the same goes for Google, Microsoft, Foxconn, Asus, Intel AMD and every other software/hardware manufacturer, except the open sources applications.

  • i prefer mac, but jon being the apple fanboy i can see the ending

  • its stupid to fight about Mac & Windows. Their products will continue to change and update all the time, thus making present debates about it is just not necessary.

  • It's so... dramatic :D

  • this tech battle is gonna be really weird. both OS's are amazing, its just whether or not u have the money to buy a product that looks a little nicer

  • In the core of MAC, it's also a PC just with OS X.

I don't know why we need to pay so much higher price for a computer, which can't chosen the hardware specification by our will.

OS X is good, but it shoud not be occupied by "APPLE's PC" only.

Therefore, we has no battle between MAC and PC, it's between "Elegant" and "Simple".

  • @lohaukai what???

  • MAC ALL THE WAY

  • Hope it's as EPIC as the console wars!!!

  • MAC owns PC. People who say that mac sux are PC users who have never used a MAC or at least the new ones. Im never goin back.

  • @salman6896 I use both equally on a daily basis. Both have pros and cons, but no single one reigns over the other like you mention. If anything.. Apple's biggest set back is that Mac OS exclusively runs on Apple computers...limiting the users ability to tweak and tune the hardware. There will never be a Mac computer fresh off the production line that is more powerful/capable than a computer running Windows.
