  • ye idiots its your choice but the smoke is bad for other people to so go f yourself with that its my choice

  • I think that cigarettes are dangerous to anyone's health, but there is no way that they will be made illegal. Unlike other drugs, tobacco can be taxed, which benefits the government. If tobacco was illegal, it would create a black market, which would cause tobacco to become very expensive, but it would not deter addicted smokers as they would break the law if necessary to get cigarettes. Anytime a drug is made illegal, all other activities around it become illegal.

  • one day ima kill all humans because even though we have the capability to make the world good, we destroy the earth and its inhabitants

  • @Mexicanandfluffy What are you, 10?

  • WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TO TELL PEOPLE WHAT THEY CAN DO WITH THEIR OWN BODIES YOU FUCK!?

  • HA! smoking will never be illegal!

  • HA! smoking will never be illegal!

  • Fuck off u peice of shit u can't tell me wat I can n can not put in my body the peopl who smoke know what there doing to them selves so why do u care I garentee u are the kid who suck the so called jesuses dick in church u fagget get a life instead of judging people worry bout ur self u fucking cunt

  • Who the fuck are you to decide what I put in my body?

You have NO FUCKING RIGHT to choose ANYTHING for me.

"My own father and grandfather died because he smoked, and yet, this is acceptable to society."

That's called a PERSONAL FUCKING CHOICE FUCKWIT. NOTHING to do with society.

Here, this video is for you. /watch?v=5hfYJsQAhl0

  • I fully support making tobaco illegal! Not because I care about the "people" but, for the simple fact that i can sell it for double the price when it is illegal. Just like the prohibition of alcohol. So yea, im with you all the way!

p.s. You must be retarded if you think people are going to stop smoking just because it is made illegal. But if it makes you feel better and me richer, who gives a shit about the people who go to prison for smoking tobacco right?

    GOD BLESS YOU!

  • "It must be the decision of each and every individual whether he or she will take the risks of smoking" 15:27

  • smoking should be made illegal....you are killing other people more than yourself....if you dont care about yourself thats fine but just think about all the kids that you are hurting all the innocent people you are hurting....its a shame...i work at a hospital...and its just stupid people on oxygen machines outside guess what SMOKING....its pointless...and its not useful at all....people who smoke have no respect for people who dont....its a shame...

  • @matt31602

Cigarettes should definatly NOT be made illegal. Discouraged yes, banned no. Making cigarettes illegal would be like giving organized crime a big fat blank cheque. Prohibition of substances just doesn't work, look at the prohibition of alcohol a hundred years ago: DIDN'T WORK. Look at prohibition of marijuana in the US and Canada: DOESN'T WORK. Prohibition of these things only puts thier distrobution in the hands of criminals, which surely doesnt fund schools or hospitals.....

  • @shea1212 i respect your opinion you have excellent point thanks for commenting

  • Smoking shouldn't be made illegal, it should be encouraged, especially for kids. Im a smoker and its great, I love smoking, I love the taste and to play with smoke in and around my face. I think that if everyone smoked, they would enjoy it as much as I do.

  • @captainzerb

You're probably 15 years old smoking your first pack. I bet the first time you feel a slight pain in your chest from smoking you'll be thinking alot differently. This is coming from someone who smokes.

  • @shea1212

I am almost 19, and I have been smoking for 3 years, and I am aware of the risks and I have experienced first hand the filth and the immediate bodily harm caused by it. My res room in first year university was pretty much a giant ash tray. But I choose to smoke, because I enjoy it, and that is my responsibility. So save your preaching for someone who will listen to it, you faceless internet goofball.

  • @captainzerb

looks like you listened... haha you're just a kid anyways.

  • @shea1212 you are a jerk off and you are gonna get lung cancer because you have no willpower and a pessimistic self condemning attitude, I am no kid, my occupation assigns me responsibility for the mortal safety, nourishment and emotional well being of 15 year old kids for days at a time and I dont smoke in front of them

  • @captainzerb

oh ya? dont smoke infront of them eh? haha i thought you said "smoking should be encouraged, especially for kids". haha idiot, you just contradicted yourself on the very comment i attacked you on. Not very smart of you. Anyways have fun with your babysitting "occupation", hopefully the poor kids you look after end up as dumb as you.

  • @shea1212 I would let them all smoke but I would get fired because of fuckers like you who seem to popularize the lets discriminate against smokers because they hurt everyone, I bet when you smoke you smoked bitchsticks and coughed like you do when you take a fat wet load deep in the back of your throat. Oh right never mind, jizz doesnt go into your mouth, it only comes out of your mouth, whenever you talk.

  • @captainzerb

haha it shows your an idiot when your argument in response is filled with homophobic remarks. have fun at your babysitting occupation it sounds like a really high paying career, maybe when you`re 40 you`ll have saved enough for a hyundai!

  • im goin outside for a smoke

  • I do not believe that anyone will disagree that tobacco is hazardous to one's health; however there is a much greater danger - GOVERNMENT, which is hazardous to our liberty.

  • And Alcohol ??

  • based on what im hearing in response to this video, those who smoke feel as though it is a freedom and no one should dictate whether or not they should do it as it is their won body, and therefor their own choice, so by saying that, it must also be fair to ausume that to shoot someone without cause is also acceptable as it is a freedom and it is within that persons choice to do so, so who is going to stop them. The reason a law is put in place is not to regulate ones life specifically but socie

  • iam from uk and fuck you i want to smoke i will and i do fuck cancer and u say why should the tax payer pay it costs 6 billion a year for nhs we pay 9.3 billion a year on tax with cigs so get ur self to fuck u wank

  • Alcohol kills more people than cigarettes. Are all the non-smokers out there against alcohol as well. If your against cigarettes becuase of the deaths and health problems then you should be agains alcohol for the same reasons. If your against smoking but not alcohol then you are a hypocrit. I've seen people drinking alcohol try to tell me that smoking is bad for me and yet turn a blind eye to the fact alcohol kills so many more.

  • "If you sacrifice freedoms for security you lose both." Ben Franklin Criminalizing anything makes problems ten times worse, but I guess nobody cares, fasciosm is alive and well. Ban everything you don't like. We can live in a bubble soon. Screw liberty!

  • 4million people die of cigarettes a year, all drugs combined is 2-5m deaths a year. WTF?

  • its not illegal because the govermant are too greedy from all the money they get out of it so if your calling us smokers selfish we're not the only ones all the governmant reall care about is money :p

  • What are the odds that I smoke and I'll drop dead before I collect Social security. I will save society money by dying fast, even if I have to be hospitalized.

  • I say, if people want to do this shit to themselves, let them. Have them do this in private places and tax them on the drugs so the government could stop spending one billion dollars a month trying to solve a "problem" that will never be solved.

  • i dont think they should made cigarettes illgal, they should make weed legal in fact they should make all drugs legal but we would selttle for weed. as far as cigerets go it is a choice and at the moment is one of the only drugs/ plesure ect. if they made very drug legal no1 would die in the drug war more people die in the drug war then the drugs do. and weed dosnt kill it is good for you. what if you want a small buz but dont want to get drunk or high or just wanna relax. there is so much more.

  • @olunt Weed is not good for you. It disables your ability to develop emotionally and you can become addicted to it. The rates of addiction from weed are much lower than cigarettes, but weed addiction is also stronger and harder to break. It does not help you "relax" either. My mom smoked weed for this exact reason, and when she wasn't high, she was cranky and snippy at my dad and I for no reason.

  • @TheCuriousMagician u sir are wrong

  • Tobacco will never be illegal. Huge corporations, lobbyists and tobacco farmers have kept it legal and will continue to do so. They don't want to lose their "cash cow". The government also has an interest in keeping tobacco legal since they benefit from tobacco taxes. Yes, it can cause terminal illness but if an adult chooses to smoke and ignore the warnings, it's their legal choice to do so.

  • MAKE TOBACCO ILLGEAL, AND LEGALIZE WEED. I can proudly say i do no do drugs, no illgeal ones, I do not drink, or smoke tobacco, weed is my medicane, and my entertainment.

  • Things are made illegal because they do harm to people.

Ever hear of second hand smoking?

  • It shouldnt be made illegal because then drug dealers get a hold of the drug and start making shit loads of money.

  • car crashes kill people do we outlaw driving

  • Once again, someone who is not or never has been addicted to tobacco is suggesting that cigarettes be banned. This would have pissed me off before learned about electronic cigarettes. Now it is possible for smokers to conquer their addiction. Electronic cigarettes contain nicotine (which does not cause cancer) and NONE of the cancer-causing agents found in cigarettes. No second had smoke (the "smoke" people exhale is actually water vapor). These e-cigs are saving lives every single day.

  • I'm with you rosary films. I wish it were possible to make cigarette smoking illegal. Unfortunately, I don't see it happening. Maybe smokers should just wake up and realize that smoking affects more than just them. Yes you have the right to ruin your health and smell nasty but what about the rights of those forced to breathe your poison. How about the rights of the children who are forced to live in your home? What rights do they have.

  • Let's ignore the fact that countless tobacco cartels will bring about widespread crime. Here we would have an untapped market of addicts to a substance that would be exclusively produced and sold by criminals who have no qualms with resorting to violence. Honest tobacco farmers would go bankrupt and the government would lose tax revenue to boot. We don't need a nanny state telling us what we can and can't have in our bodies.

  • Smoking has been in our society for 100s of years. the goverment cant stop people from smoking, no one can. if the goverment stopped the production of cigarettes many people would hav nocotine withdrawl an go angry, depressed, naucios and many other side affects. if u were a smoker u would understand.

  • to issues here that are both dangerous. drug use and prohibition. prohibition destroys more lives and puts guns in the hands of gangsters. Gangs have less value in a society without prohibition. I dont like drugs and i dont like gangs either,.

  • government is your worst enemy

  • when cigerrete smoking is down

our economy goes right with it

  • @extremeeXrement1 were did you get your information for this outlandish statement? "when cigerrete smoking is down our economy goes right with it "

because you just pulled that out your ass!!! "lets destroy our economy by making cigerettes illegal" do you mean make a lucrative black market on the illegal sale of cigarettes?

  • @twist4010 no i mean that part of our economy is the amount of what people buy people buy cigarettes all the time

  • @extremeeXrement1

    The economy that`s fake anyway.

  • @klenner plus why not i can choose what i wana do the government shouldnt take away my rights to harm my body and get involved with addiction

  • I really agree smoking should be made illegal!! Ahh, but what could we do? None of us are members of the Government :(

  • @Sarecaman548 lets destroy our economy by making cigerettes illegal

  • @Sarecaman548

We the people is all i have to say...

  • lmao, make smoking illegal, that'll work, i mean during prohibition alcohol consumption only more than doubled, people like you should be erased from the human gene pool, anti-smoking is a fascist liberal joke that uses FEAR MONGERING instead of presenting the FACTS, smoking is a personal choice which CAN be harmful just like everything else out of moderation, ITS CALLED MODERATION NOT MAKE EVERYTHING YOU DON"T LIKE ILLEGAL, trying to control the way others live is pathetic in so many regards

  • Yes, it will work. People are no longer ignorant of the ill effects of drugs any more...... Whereas in the past, people were blissfully unaware of the health risks and smoking was thought of as a relaxing and satisfying (I agree) social pastime, modern society recognises it as a serious health hazard. Most sane people, smokers included, would support a ban. Smokers too?, yes, because, a ban would be highly supportive to their attempts to kick the habit.....

  • If the people who are arguing are fighting for "freedom of choice", then let this person who posted the video be. Because, this person is only exercising his/her freedom.

  • for a start the government would have to tax other things if cigarettes where illegal. why dont they ban alcohol instead. the amount of people that get into fights on a friday and saturday night due to alcohol consumption is terrible. but unlike alcohol smoking doesnt mind alter when you have had too much

  • Government dont give a shit about people or justice, all they want are taxes. Legalising new drugs would be percieved as highly immoral , now that the general population are much more educated than they were 50 years ago. For example legalising heroin, although highly desirable from a taxation point of view, would cause a lot of rebellions agianst the government within their own ranks. Much easier to maintain what is currently morally accepted and in place like smoking and alcohol.

  • yea but smoking kills 5 more people than alcohol does every year. your logic is flawed.

  • yea but we all die eventually. more people get into trouble with the law every year due to being bladdered

  • by the way did you take into account the amount of people that are killed through drink driving into you stats as well.

  • yea i did. drunk driving and all other alcohol related deaths are around 5 times less.

  • so you justify drink driving then. the type of person that is totally against smoking but when it comes to drinking its ok.

  • first of all smoking is bad for you. there is no doubt about it. alcohol in wine has been shown to have health benefits in moderation. also drunk driving is illegal. the only argument you have to support smoking is a persons rights. well if you smoke next to me then your taking away my rights because you're harming me with secondhand smoke. in my opinion smoking should be legal, but only in your house.

  • when i am smoking i dont stand next to anybody cause if they said something i would go through them, and you are correct it is a persons right to smoke where they want, and by the way i live in a country that has a really bad binge drinking culture. so ban drinking and keep the hospitals and ambulance services free for people that actually need them.

  • Bullshit. There is absolutely no need to put alcohol into any beverage. Its a drug, that affects your senses. It is sold and taxed. I dont think any of the health benefits come from the alcohol content. If you drink and drive over someone, then you are taking away their rights of a healthy life too. If you drink and throw up or piss on someones doorstep, shout abuse at passers by, beat someone up becuase of loss of mental inhibitions, or damage property, you are harming someone's rights.

  • are you a doctor? your talking straight out of your ass. its already proven.

  • I feel what you're saying. But cigarettes should NOT be made illegal. Because as soon as they do, they will become an underground street drug like crack and heroin. And with the streets hands in the product, many people will be poisoned and even overdose on deadly additives. What's needed the most is for more effort to go into making it safer and less cancerous to smoke.

  • Bullshit. If they go underground, they go underground. The net effect will be massively less people using them as compared to now. And also, there will be significantly less new people taking up smoking.

  • Yey! Lets make more unenforceable laws rather than letting people do what the hell they want when they're not hurting anyone but themselves!

  • SUPAKAWAIIDESU, you pay only the premiums for your health care -- you will not be paying for the millions of dollars to take care of you and your family if you lose the health of your lungs -- assuming the heath care provider pays full coverage. Hence, in order to pay for your abuse of your body, your health care provider increases the premiums to the other policy holders. In short, others will have to pay for your drug abuse. If full coverage is not provided, then others pay again.

  • Bullshit. If you lose your lungs, how long you gonna last. Its not millions, and whilst you are mobile you are still gonna pay taxes, that includes cigarette taxes. Think of the cigarette taxes a smoker pays during his life as an insurance. Now its not unfair at all is it, unlike alcohol abusers who pay far less tax

  • If you want to tell me that I can't smoke, then you must tell me why I am your property first.

Taking control over what I put into my body is unacceptable, regardless of how unhealthy a certain practice is.

If I want to smoke, there is no reason that the law should criminalize me for doing so, because my body is MY property, not yours, or anyone else's, and I can do with it what I want to.

  • SUPAKAWAIIDESU, and when you come down with lung cancer, you will be the first one to want the government and the taxpayers to take care of you and your family. You will be leaving behind ones who you were responsible for...but did not help due to your selfishness.

  • Cool speculation.

I don't smoke regularly, I deliberately avoid government programs, and would never ask for or accept government aid, and what the fuck is so selfish about smoking? Are you suggesting that the fact that I smoke sometimes means that I'm incapable of managing anything in my life? That I can't take care of other people? That's ridiculous, and you know it.

  • SUPAKAWAIIDESU, no, you are incorrect. Turning yourself into a burden (with health problems) on society is what is not cool.

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU Do you have kids or are you around kids? Studies have shown that children who live with parents who smoke are more likely to develop breathing problems. It doesn't matter if you go outside or not, as there has been no difference shown between kids whose parents try not to smoke around them and those who are exposed to secondhand smoke regularly. Why should you be allowed to decline your child's health if you have one, or why should anyone else be allowed to do this?

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU that is the main reason why I would be for making smoking illegal. It should be wrong to endanger a child's health like that, yet no one would blink an eye at someone who has a kid and smokes. Both of my parents smoked, and I got bronchitis at 13. Why should a kid or someone else have their life shortened because "taking control over what I put into my body is unacceptable"? If there was no harm done to other people from cigarette smoke, your argument would have some validity.

  • why target just smoking? try going after fast food, sugar producers, oil companies, manufacturing facilities, and other industries that produce cancer causing chemicals..no offense, just my 2 cents

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU one could make that same argument regarding cocaine, meth, or heroin.

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU Just because a decision is available to you doesn't make it a good one. Your more than welcome to put what ever want into your body, but please do yourself a favor and be cognizant of the results that have a high probability of happening. So of course and individual should be able to put whatever want their body but if worst comes to worst realize and understand what played a major role in giving you whatever condition you have at the time.It would be a great convenience to u

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU Dude don't you understand??? WHEN YOU SMOKE IT HURTS OTHER PEOPLE TOO IDIOT!!!

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU i like you idea of fredom of speech n' stuff like that but it is a drug thats addictive and harmfull, not mutch different than crack

  • @awsomesauce44 I didn't say anything about freedom of speech...

Also, I know how unhealthy and addictive it is. That doesn't change the fact that no one can tell me not to use it.

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU i agrre ppl should be abl to do what they want with there body

  • @awsomesauce44 learn to spell.

  • @awsomesauce44 learn to spell.

  • @LBeachRugby learn how not to be a duchebag

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU you are not the property of you!!! u are the property of the bankers!!! if you are born in the USA, then look up your brith certificate number in the stock exchange... u will find out that u r a commodity!!! its scary my friend... the corporations own u and they have got u by the balls. u live and die for them... they make ur decisions from the time u wake up till u sleep. democracy is make believe, thanks to super-capitalism!!! we are a voluntary slave and a guinea pig!!!

  • @SUPAKAWAIIDESU I don't care if you smoke in order to harm yourself. It's the secondary smoke I have to endure when people like you smoke in my vecinity. Which in a lot of cases I can't escape from. It is "unacceptable" as you say for smokers to damage my body without me being able to do something.

  • I think smoking should at the very least be least be limited. It should at least be illegal to smoke if your pregnant or if you have kids around.

And then there's the problem with addiction, Ive never seen a coworker eager to go on break for a candy bar, and I've never seen a product that cures an addiction to sugar.

  • You have,nt seen a coworker go for a candy bar break, becuase candy bars can be quickly eaten on the job and no one will be the wiser. Can't do the same with a cigarette. There was a time when coworkers didnt go for smoke breaks when smoking was allowed anywhere.

  • why are people only going after people who smoke? why not go after people who drink? drinking is way worse! dang leave smokers alone

  • Antismokers are fascists

  • and smokers are ignorant morons.

    ...

I'd rather be a fascist (you cuntmothering fool.)

  • Einstien was a real dumb shit then, huh?

  • no, Einstein was a genius. but you DO have to be a fucking idiot to ignore the many negative effects of such a useless activity. I saw a 13 year old get on the bus yesterday holding a lighter and a cigarette...

Legal cigarettes = they fall into the wrong hands easier. Lets just get rid of the damn things.

  • Don't 13 year olds also get hold of marijuana, LSD, cocaine and meth? All of these things are illegal, yet somehow kids find them.

Tobacco is a plant native to America, it grows out of the ground, and people want it. If people want something they are going to get it.

Same 13 year old kid might be on ritalin or prozac, and I honestly believe that the psychiatric drugs that people have thier kids on are worse than tobacco. Let the kids light up, its not like it will kill them.

  • When it pops out of the ground it isn't covered in layers of chemical shit though.

And let the kids light up? Let them become addicted to cigarettes at a young age and take steps closer to cancer. Sounds AWESOME! w00t.

  • i saw a llyr old smoking too

  • you expect cigarettes to be made illegal and so you show a PSA from the 50s or 60s? wow thats pure genius. because the PSA's of that era also gave us such gems as "refer madness" and my personal favorite "duck and cover" as if that's going to save you from a nuke going off just down the road.

  • It is economically irresponsible to make cigarettes illegal. People would still smoke and the schools would go unfunded or funded by loans. We already have a huge deficit and we get 10s of billions of dollars in tax revenue from tobacco products.

A huge black market would also be created. Then we would have to hire more police costing more $ to enforce the law!

If you think criminalizing tobacco is a good idea then I hope you also think MUCH HIGHER TAXES AND DEBT is a good idea.

  • Sounds fun!

    Just kidding

  • I think you missed my meaning. what i was saying is that her argument for making cigarettes illegal was to show a propaganda PSA from an era full of misinformation. I am by no means in favor of making cigarettes illegal. as a matter of fact i think smokers pay more than their fair share of taxes.

  • maybe if the governments spent our money WISELY and not on bullets or bombs (which is a MAJOR leech on the economy) we wouldn't all be so worried of the economic effect of illegalizing a deadly, and basically pointless, object.

  • 90% of everything that the government spends money on is worthless crap, not just bullets and bombs. Make tobacco illegal and someone is going to have to enforce that law, and you are going to end up spending a lot more on the bullets and other crap for an even bigger drug war.

Free people have a right to make their own decisions. All the government is obligated to do is put a warning label on the cigarettes, it has no authority to tell people what to do or not do.

  • Fools, the government uses many 'pointless' so called noble pursuits to keep the average person's tunnel vison mind preoccupied whilst the 'citizens' generate taxes for the few in power.

  • Comment removed

  • When you take away peoples right to smoke, you take away peoples rights to make decisions for themselves, and sooner or later we will become no better then nazi Germany, or communist Russia. Make it illegal.. Why? Because its bad for you? Does the government have the right to control every aspect of your life by illegalizing every known substance that is bad for the human body? i thought this was a democracy but it is soundind more and more like a dictatorship every day.

  • Its not really a democracy. Just a sophisticated dictatorship. Anyway, cigarettes make you sick, no question about that. Why they don't legalise heroin or coke. Because too many ppl will object, they destroy ur life much quicker. The last point is very relevant. Fucked up individuals are no good at paying tax. They cost tax. Cigarette smokers do not lose their minds and pay nice taxes per pack of cigs. Thats why government does not make cigs illegal.

  • cigarettes dont impaire youre driving, or make you dangerous to others(unless you include second hand smoke, which is debatable) therefore people should be allowed the right to smoke if they choose. its not the goverments job to decide how i live my life, its mine

  • Unfortunately, the only rights you have, are the ones the government says you have. They can manipulate those rights, and hence you, as they see fit. Like I mentioned before, its not democracy, its a sophisticated dictatorship dressed up to look like a democracy. Soon, we will all be a number.....

  • man thats fucked up. i mean come on, the democratic party has fallen apart. they used to be the part where you could have a drink, have a cigarette, have a good time. they went from do your own thing and be free, to do what your told, obey. i think your completley right, if things keep going the way they are, then america has a sad future ahead of itself...

  • the air we breathe is polluted anyways

  • yeah and reefer madness was believeable too right?

  • next make knifes illigal cause that kills too

  • People who smoke obviously know the health risks, we've only been lectured since we were young. So if they would like to do something that they know is harmful to their body then why not? junk food is bad for your body, people still eat a whole shit load of that. If you dont like smoking, DONT SMOKE and dont invade everyone else s life about it. it is none of your business what people do in their own home unless its out in public then it becomes your probluem. that why we have non smoke areas

  • gotta love the turkish domestic blend 2 for $3.46

  • Making cigarettes illegal is the only long term soloution. Yes, so, there might be an intial outcry, yes there will be some black market shit circulating. But the overall effect over time will be to drastically reduce consumption. People know what the effects of drugs are nowadays, so to compare making illegal to 1930s alcohol prohibitions is just an excuse. The reality is the goverment will lose a lot of taxes. Thats the real problem for the government. They dont give a shit about people only $.

  • nem2010 your a dumbass.... such a dumbass if you think that

by makign it illigal there will be cigarette dealers and BELIEVE ME they do not id you

they will sell to little children and they wouldnt care and they will get addicted

    is that what you want?

  • One step at a time nunurox. First remove the main source of the corruption, then tackle the pockets of corruption that try and persist. If you can't see this, then you are a genuine 'DUMBASS'.

  • i fucking hate cigarretes my dad smokes and i dont want anything to happen to him its hard to quit. Its like me trying to stop biting my nails cigarretes do kill. poeple dont kill ppl ..... cigarretes kill ppl... so obama or mcain plz make it illegal

  • actually lung cancer kills people

  • not cigarretes

  • to preprockstar, erm you do know obama smokes.....

and plus for fucks sake we have the right to free will, we can choose what we want to do with our lives for gods sake this is like trying to stop people being gay if somneone wants to be gay they can be gay, if someone wants to smoke they can smoke.....-_- such a pointless video

  • Wow I went a little off subject...again. Sorry. That wasn't a lecture by the way. Just a messy jumble of oppinion. I just think cigarrets are for the desperate. When there is no need when life is so crazy = )

  • I think everyone should be properly educated about cigarrets and drugs. I'm not going to do that though. I just want to say my oppinion. Our generation has become pretty wasteful and ungrateful. Our actions affect the Earth more than anything else. We miss out on alot of the beauty in life. We have so much freedom to enjoy life and we just look at the negative most of the time. I'm not speaking for everyone. I just have so many things to say but i'm not going to. Life is what you make it.

  • I've thought about this a few times. I don't know if it would be a good idea to make cigarettes illegal now. I do think they should've been made illegal a long time ago. Now they're so popular and too many people know about them that would probably cause some negative outcomes, but would they be as bad as the outcomes of keeping them legal? Smoking cigarrets affect you, everyone around you and the environment. If you smoke right now and you care, you should look into it.

  • If cigarettes were made illegal, so many people would be unemployed that there would be serious problems and not to mention the tobacco farmer who is just trying to support his family.

  • making cigs illegal is pointless just like any other thing, cigs = money = power and who will give that up.But there's always hope that mars will be a smoke free planet so smoke em if you got em.God help us all if we live beyond our personal freedoms like that last cig before you die, death is our friend and everyone must embrace him in the end.Take all heroin users of methadone tomorrow and see what happens,Cigs are harder to quit!PS make pleasure Illegal while your at it, good luck on that!

  • No, it shouldn't be illegal. How stupid. That would result in overpriced cigarettes on the blackmarket, riots, and more crime in general.

Smoking is a personal choice. Deal with it.

  • not to mention minors will have an easier chance at buying cigarettes because dealers dont check id.

  • I used to smoke it was my choice wrong or not. I don't think that you should be able to influence my or anyone elses choices.

  • I mean if you want to talk about drugs that should be illegal, lets talk about alcohol, horrible drug and even worse, unlike tobacco, it's glorified by the popular media (MTV).

But wait, they tried that, and what it led to is people making there own (often times not properly which led to poisoning) and killed each other over it.

Alcohol became more dangerous because it was illegal.

But since it's legal again, the government can regulate it

If tobacco became illegal, same thing would happen.

  • Hi Kingo..Have a smoke then...or don't. And don't forget to let us all know, cos we're just bustin a git to find out the conclusion of your dilemma. Don't forget that if it's made illegal your taxes will increase.

  • I disagree. The government shouldn't be telling people what not to do to their bodies so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else (and before you say it, second-hand smoke is complete bullshit, the study they use to justify it shows that 10 in 100,000 people develop lung cancer without exposer to 2nd hand smoke and 12.5 out of 100,000 do with exposer, that's the 25% more likely they're talking about 2.5 people)

  • What's next? are they going to tell us what we can't eat because America's becoming obese?

Sounds crazy I know... oh wait a minute, dumbshit Democrats in Chicago have banned For Gross (French word so spelling's most likely wrong) from being served in restaurants for that very same reason.

I've never smoked a cigarette (well I did take one puff once for a video on here), I've never eaten For Gross. I don't want to do either, and I hate smoke

  • Ahh you removed my wisdom here it is again.

"But you know what, there's something out there that's more important than my comfort, it's called the Constitution of the USA. I mean, I hate emo punk bands. They're horrible. I would like to pass legislation banning emo punk bands because you know that crap can't be good for you. I don't see any difference between the two. One last note, when Fascism comes to America, it'll come in a white coat with a stethoscope"

  • Kajayacht, and who is it that winds up paying for the health care of people with lung cancer?

  • Well, seeing how America's health care system is privatized (could change in the near future if people vote based solely on their opinion of the current guy in office), the individual or the health insurance companies.

But you fail to talk about anything what I've said, and I'll say it again:

When Fascism comes to America, it'll come in a white coat with a stethoscope.

  • Kajayacht, the people who wind up paying for the smokers who have lung cancer are usually OTHER people, who indirectly pay for the lung cancer patients through increased premiums, taxes, etc. So, it makes a difference what people put in their mouths, because it affects a lot of people.

  • Not all smokers live off social programs.

  • The American natives used tobacco as a means of talking to the Great Spirit. It wasn't used as a commercial substance until the arrival of European explorers, such as Sir Walter Raleigh.

  • The state can't tell me what I can and can't put into my body.

  • Porcelina1334, and when people like yourself get sick from drug abuse, the first thing you want is someone from the government to take care of you.

  • Very informative.....but damn that's an old ass video....lol

  • you know the thing about tobacco too is how processed it is the reason they do that is to make the naturally harsh tobacco leaf smoother and easier to take in. Thats not good cause in natural cercumstances you would more than likly be disgusted by it the only thing I have found to be naturally smooth is I hate to say for feeling like im gonna offend is marijuana. chemically induced objects always end up hurting you in the end.

  • tabacco should not be made illegal what should be made illegal is the processing that it goes through marijuana should be legal no processing all natural dont listen to reffer madness propaganda and please listen to your concessness not the ones created for you by the media.

  • rosekiller123, the video is on cigarettes -- not marijuana.

  • I know but i feel strongly on that issue sorry but no limits on speech as well. by the way your everywhere on you tube now I cant get away from you.

  • Nonsmokers die every day!

  • I have a few comments. Your opening statements are great, but the way your statements are written, there are vague pronoun references everywhere and your academic writing style stinks. I would suggest re writing your opening comments with out "I mena" and" it is unacceptable and it sand its". I enjoy your video tho, and believe that smoking is not a subject for illegality but a control over how much is smoked over a period of time.

  • make more healthy smokes!!!

  • hahahahahahahahaha

  • We should ban red meat because it's high in cholesterol.

  • making it illegal wont do anything, as americans learned when they tried to make drinking illegal, people will still do it, just in back allys instead of on the street, and it would be make more UNHEALTHY because at least, when the govrment makes sure there is no other drugs in it, less people will die

  • no no no, they shouldn't be made illegal. the fact is that ya, smoking is bad, everybody knows it, but its our right. its like saying people over 50 shouldn't drive, or alcohol should be banned. ya its bad but its about choice. if someone chooses to smoke, then they have a right and thats what Americas about. people know the effects, we don't need propaganda. instead of fighting a battle your never gonna win, try keeping your friends and family off cigs and fight for that

  • i totaly agree with the cigarettes are harmful but the rabbit is reating poorly to nicotene becuase the true nicotene in pure form is deadly. the altered form of nicotene as in the combonation of CO and C6H16AlNaO4 is not as nerve constraining.

  • and dont forget tobacco helped build america, so without it america would be crappy, so you are against smoking then you are against everything america stands for.

  • WHAT?!?!?!?! Tobacco yes has helped to build the southern states but the US was built on much more than that! Not to mention, America does not stand for much right now....we are f***cking ourselves over with bush in office, this f**8cked up war in the middle east and everything else America is cause for.

Also, where do you get the idea that iam against smoking...i was stating mere facts. Also, America does NOT stand for giving everybody cancer and lying about it, even though thats what we did!

  • I hate cigarettes, I have seen what they do to people first hand. My grandma died a terribel death from them and after watching her die I knew that I would never smoke. Making smoking against the law, the only thing I want is for that them not to be able smoke in public places where kids and non smokers can smell. If they want to have a terrible life and death, fine, let them.

  • After thinking abuot it smoking is do dangerous you dont even have to smoke and it can kill you. Dont even have to smoke and it can kill you, that is BS. I dont know howmany warnings there are and more and more people smoke everyday. Well I say this, if they want to be ugly looking, nasty smelling and just a source of income and a puppet in the makers or cigarettes let them, they are the people who lose anyway.
