The point is that this story should of never been written because it goes against the 40+ years of characterization of peter parker. The unmasking should of never happened either and i was against marvel doing it anyway. On top of that spiderman is connected to everything in the marvel universe and the effects would affect everything in the marvel universe.

wow obviously you have read any of the great spider-man stories in the past. Pick up Kraven last hunt, The Death of jean Dewolfe, the son of the goblin, the night gwen stacey died, wolverine vs spiderman and you will see a spiderman pushed to the edge. Those stories were far superior then the unmasking and had more emotional impact on the reader. Also why did you think that joe Q went back to pre-marriage just out of college days because he wanted to go back to the days these issues were written

Then marvel made spiderman make a deal with the mephisto who is basicly the devil and it is not like marvel has a character who is a hero that made a deal with mephisto to save the life of someone he loved and was screwed over by it in the end

Honestly i would of prefered him to be on the anti-reg side the whole time because it goes with his character. The whole tony is like a father to him thing pissed me off because uncle ben was his father and mentor to him not tony who didn't interact much with him much anyway just like they played up the friendship between him and cap. I have read kickass and it is great and spiderman reign was ok.

What i wanted after the unmasking is for him not only deal with the consequences but to stand up like a man and face the future. The thing i always like about peter is he carried on no matter what when the shit hit the fan their was never a deus ex machina for him every action in his life lead to realistic consequences (will after his spider bite anyway). All i wanted to see him do was be a man and live with the decision he made. Also aunt may wouldn't of wanted her nephew to trade away his love
