Nice light but totally needs a pocket clip. Fenix is way ahead of 4Sevens on that front. (You have to step up to the Quark Mini AA2 two-cell light before 4Sevens will give you a pocket clip.)
Hi, thanks for the review. I'm not trying to be a smart aleck but what is the advantage of hanging it from your neck vs just sticking it in your pocket?
@2ARights The one thing I can think of is maybe you don't have pockets or you want to leave it on as a signal light while walking around where cars are at night. It could be used as a way to easily find it since it is so small. Like if your camping and drop it maybe the cord would help. But in the pocket or on a headlamp might be better. That is the thing about the mini is it is versatile for different uses. Thanks for the comment.
Check the box... It came with a spare rubber o-ring, so you can make it waterproof again.
Also, the lithium rechargeable battery (14500) is 3.7 volts, so the light may not last longer, but it will be much, much brighter on max brightness mode than with a 1.7 volt lithium primary, 1.5 volt alkaline, or a 1.2 volt NiMH.
@samgab I actually think i broke the extra o ring trying to put it in the wrong place. (like an idiot) but thanks for the info about batteries. I am getting the Quark AA2 R-5 soon and look forward to having another 4 sevens light.
@LUKSTUFF Oh cool, You'll like the AA2 R5 too, I'm sure, and they have a limited number of even newer/brighter ones with Cree XP-G S2 emitters.
Anyway, that lithium battery I mentioned is only for use in single battery lights, you'll fry a 2xAA light if you try to run it on two of them. Just in case you considered trying that...
I think i put the camera a little too close. That and this flip camera prolly doesn't focus that great at this close range with this lighting. IDK but I am disappointed in the clarity but if you google it you can get a better picture.

But you'd need a special charger too.
