Mitsubishi Starion (not evo eclipse ) racing turbo Mustang

I had a Starion back in the day, for its time it was hot car. I always liked this car should have come with a 6 cylinder turbo it would have been amazing

@dinomagic This engine well prepared could hand around 500-600hp, now if Mitsubishi developed further this G54B Astron Engine, just like did with the 4G63 Sirius Engine, then it may maybe manage up to 800hp. now with all that, clutch and transmission should be forged to withstand that kind of power.

I got a 1986 starion and its a stock motor with a huge turbo that was put in in the factory and it waists most modern tuned cars.

ummmmm, its stock turbo is a Mitsu td05-12a which is a very small turbine, and 180-190 hp does not qualify it as able to "waist"(you spelled it wrong) modern cars, although conquests/starions are very sick cars. i would know i own one

These cars are much better with a 5.0l swapped in. They have potential, but aren't even easy to find in good shape. A yr ago a guy with a blown motor car wanted 1,500 and it needed body work 2!

They have a notoriously poor head that is prone to cracking, etc.

yea and the crappy stock pistons that only hold 15 psi MAX, and the shitty 2 injector throttle body injection, and the weak trannies on the 83-87, and the list goes on. but starions did have bullet proof bottom ends (crankshaft and rods) and the later year trannies were great.
