"Every Text Could Be Your Last" is a little misleading. Not all diaries are cell phones and that line makes it sound like Death Note without the notebooks.

This is a very good manga. Even though the drawings look "moe"-ish, the story is very unique and there are many plot twists, and we just can't help to like the YukiteruxYuno couple. To those who say that this is a Death Note ripoff, it isn't. Just because it is the most popular Mystery/Psychology manga it doesn't mean that other series of the same genre are very alike. In fact, I think that Future Diary is as good as Death Note.

this is my absolute favorite manga, im so glad i bought it. yuno and akise are the most amazing characters ever. although im not getting too into the mirai nikki parodox manga its still good. this entire story is amazing. although im only done with volume 5. just pure awesomeness in this manga. cant wait for the anime :D

The manga is awsome but it's possible more screwed up than higurashi or the school days anime. It's quite tame at first until the later volumes where everything goes to hell and back several times. And for those that say it is similar to death note I don't quite get how. I see no similarities between the two.

For people wondering whether the manga is becoming an anime, it is. Now we all get to see more Yuno! The pilot anime is due to come out sometime in September this year! I highly recommend this series, my friend was talking about it on the bus one day and I dismissed it as "another generic manga" but it hooked me on the first 20 pages. READ IT...NOW!

@Ksalald *spoilers* She's insane because her parents locked her in a cage and monitored her life, she killed her parents after she wanted to begin to see more of Yukiteru. Her diary shows his fate so she can make sure that he's okay. Which might make her insane but to her, she's simply being a good girlfriend. I LOVE twists like that. Plus, Yuno killing people is the best. Especially when she kills the blind diary holder...it would look amazing in an anime.

I loved it!!!! Thia replaced Bleach on my top ten manga list. Ranked over FMA, Inuyasha, Beet, and Zombie Powder(my favorite). Future Diary is #1 for me. I havent read Death Note so I don't know how similer thay are, Saw a deathnote trailer and I think they probably have some similarities.

I read it...it's a good idea, but the execution sucks. The main character whines about not being strong enough, and yet he does nothing to allieviate the problem. Nice job on the trailer, though. It actually made the series look good for a change.

I think that's the point about him doing nothing, though. He's useless by himself, so Yuno has to pick up his slack and protect him, even though she goes WAY overboard. He's pathetic, and also very typical. A normal person in that situation would be overwhelmed, and that fact proves the psychotic/unusual nature of everyone else involved who seems okay with it.

I compare the Yukiteru to another main character in a different series, Deadman Wonderland. Both are placed in a fatal 'game', both have nearly psychotic female protectors, and they're also overwhelmed with their situations. What differs between the two series is that despite being overwhelmed and whining about being stronger, the progress that Yukiteru makes is almost non-existent. He's pathetically dependent and unable to win my sympathies, I've stopped reading the series after around ch. 30.

Yukiteru gets his resolve eventually. At a pretty massive cost. Sure, it took awhile, but he got there.

Huh, I was reading Deadman Wonderland at the same time as this, and I didn't really think about it, but you have a point. I still think it makes Yukiteru stand out from most protagonists, in that he isn't someone you really care for, and that Yuno is really the one for whom you read the story. It's almost like a second-person or fourth-person sort of deal. But to each their own.
