this Turkish march always makes me laugh because it sounds like a room of elephants, doesn't it? not trying to offend Beethoven, but it's a funny relation I have with this piece

@PrInCeShAdE1 I think it may be easy to miss on low-end speakers/headphones, which most people have for their computers. My beloved Sennheisers (insert hi-fi bragging here) make the triangle easy to hear through most of the video, though it isn't exactly loud.
@Sakkura1 spent the extra $125 and got the Yamaha 2 + minisub plays it beautifully! I even use them to play the ipod thru! I had a pair of Sennheisers a few years ago they were pinched when my apt got broken into - a know of which you speak!
@RabMaksim Perhaps Zimmer sounds better, but you have to remember Beethoven didn't have access to the same technology that Zimmer does: e.g. recording, mixing, electronic effects, ect. Plus, music evolves, most modern movie music came from other "classical" composers like Wagner and Verdi.
@Winarchnesa However, i felt that beethoven's turkish march is actually more suitable for a march... The on beats are very strong, u can really imagine battalions of soldiers marching...
A sonata is a structured composition, usually (but not always) divided into 3 movements, with an exposition (introduction), development and recapitulation (recap). Beethoven's Marcia Alla Turca (or 'Turkish March') is a movement from the Overture "The ruins of Athens".
Mozart also wrote a "Rondo Alla Turca" which was the 3rd movement from one of his piano sonatas. This doesn't translate as Turkish March. The Coda at the end sounds very much like a march, however, so the name works
@puffnpluky76 Yea, both of them can be translated into English as "Turkish March", but my reason for calling this "Turkish March" is because this is an individual composition and it can be translated as "Turkish March". The one by Mozart was a movement of a sonata, so I call it Sonata no. ......., (Turkish March).
I believe too much in... that Beethoven wanted to portray a Turkish advance lightly, and exotic. Distorting the traditional European imperialist marches, that to mock the Ottoman Empire at that time history of the train was going through a period of decline after the failed attempts to invade Europe. In summary, this composition represents a moment in which Europe out of a fear of brutal Ottoman Empire, dare to mock in this empire, as shown in this composition
this Turkish march always makes me laugh because it sounds like a room of elephants, doesn't it? not trying to offend Beethoven, but it's a funny relation I have with this piece
