It's true that the taxes are high and there are many socialist ideas, but Sweden's citizens enjoy high qualities of life, a solid economy, and a large degree of social and political freedom.

@kpot2004 and every citizen has the opportunity for education, here in the U.S it's more about competing for schools and universities, and funding there are some programs out there for student aid, but most financial aid comes in the form of loans which must be paid back. Swedish government seems good at least from the outside looking in.
