Well this argument is just stupid. Take bad company two for instance, on the pc there are a few extra features like some larger maps, more players, and if you have a pc to handle it some amazing visuals that are incomparable. 360 and ps3 can't touch it, also a pc game is still $49.99. Crysis is going to be on all systems which is sick but it will rule on the pc.
@hacker13sacker the pc has no games besides RTS? wtf are you talking about. PC users get almost every single game released except for maybe 10% of those released on the market. (e.g. uncharted 2, halo, forza, etc) Heck, consoles wont even get a "full" crysis 2. Consoles have limits, and I dont think a new Xbox or PS4 is gonna come out just for the sake of playing crysis 2

@hacker13sacker just a tip, i got a PC that runs crysis on High (or very high if i wanted to really push it, but high is almost as good anyway) for £300 or roughly $450. Just buy the parts yourself after looking around a bit for the best stuff in your budget which is worth its value and then assemble the PC yourself. Saves the 60%+ cost that is actually labour rather than parts which is why PCs can cost so much.

@hacker13sacker the way i did it was looking at the system requirements for crysis and then finding stuff online that was up to that. I used Play(dot)com for some stuff and Amazon and PC specialist sites. If you know where to look (specialist PC hardware sites) then you will find what you need. I think this is my video card i have at the moment which runs well ATI Radeon HD 4760
Make sure you see if they are all intercompatable with each other (especially the ports) or it will waste your cash
sorry to diapoint the consol users but a good pc will kick any xbox or ps3 arse in graphics and speed the 3d rendering shading lighting and smooth effects are only acheived with nice pc equipment not factory set top boxes like the ps3 and xbox

Crysis is mostly about mutiplayer, like Counterstrike, but much more difficult and with many more varibles and depth. The story mode is usally fairly short but it is decent. The graphics and game style is unique and amazing.
We would most likely already be playing Crysis 2 on PC if it weren't for them making it for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. they spent an insane amount of time optimizing it so it would even work the the consuls.
also I have a feeling since they are making Crysis 2 for a new audience it might be a bit disconnected from the first Story line.
about the new audience thing, if i will always get one, who played the 1st liked, who didnt, will like the 2nd... games nowadays have stories to interest all ages of all countries.
That said, this trailer's actually somewhat interesting. Better than the teaser trailer, which was an anger-inducing title reveal. Fighting through a city's more interesting than a jungle, as far as I'm concerned.
Let me tell you what I hated about this game: I started in one place, and had to go to the other side of the map to actually kill anyone. Why were the maps so huge? I mean seriously...I had to use the speedy thing to get to someone and actually play. The other thing: NO KILLCAM. "POW! DEAD!" oh, sorry, no killcam so if an aimbotter killed you, too bad so sad. That's why I stuck with modern warfare at the time and a few other shooters.

@Fredo5227 Graphics aren't everything If you were older than 15 you would understand that. Goldeneye N64, COD Modern Warfare. Two games at the time were no where near the graphical pinnacle, yet they sell more than any other game that year. for single player gameplay is the biggest factor, then maybe graphics, then story-line.

you dont know what your talking about, the pc must cost over 1000 bucks? no. 450 bucks could build you a pc that can play crysis not on max, but on high setting which is still bettter than consoles, consoles are equivalent to medium settings on a pc. if you spend your money wisely, you can get a lot more for your money.

I dont think ill be getting this one. Crysis was a piece of shit, its only selling point was the graphics, the gameplay/AI/story was not there it just sucked. I dont buy games just for the graphics. And crysis 2 btw will be using a downgraded version of the crytek engine 2, while the pc version will use its full potential. So yeah ofcourse the pc version of it will look way superior in graphics. But who cares its probabyl gonna be a bad game anyway like the first one.

I thought the story was great too, the voice acting was very impressive and the first time i played the game i felt like i was in an action movie. Thier gonna have to degrade this game ALOT to be able to play on PS3 and 360.. Most importantly to me Gameplay. This runs good on my cousins $1400 "nVidia Charged" Computer on full Graphics

@crimson177 The PS3 DOES have good graphics. But the PC can definitely have better graphics. It's safe to say that in order for a PC to have better graphics than a PS3, the PC must cost over $1000. If you're looking for a quick fix, go for an XBOX360 or a PS3.

Yeah but with the proper hardware a PC will blow a PS3 out of the water any day. The specs on some of the cards today (480, 5970) are multiple fold above a PS3. It also looks 10 times better because we can get resolutions higher than 1080 and enable anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering and get DX11 effects. I haven't been impressed with a video game in quite some time with the exception of Gears of War on the 360... but even that on the PC looks a lot better.

From recent indications, Crysis is to be an equal experience across both consoles, *and PC. Which likely means PC, will be slightly downgraded. In my opinion its a fair trade. Awesome graphics are great, but not in slideshow form. Looking forward to the title, I enjoyed the gameplay as much as the graphics. Decent A-I, good hit detection, Sandbox etc...the only thing I have a gripe with is what many single player campaigns fail at....Predictable groupings of enemys.
@primusfeces I can run it n 1080p with AA but crysis 2 will be more optimized on pcs thanks to quad cores and cryengine 3 the console versions are going to look bad in comparison

I dont think ill be getting this one. Crysis was a piece of shit, its only selling point was the graphics, the gameplay/AI/story was not there it just sucked. I dont buy games just for the graphics. And crysis 2 btw will be using a downgraded version of the crytek engine 2, while the pc version will use its full potential. So yeah ofcourse the pc version of it will look way superior in graphics. But who cares its probabyl gonna be a bad game anyway like the first one.

@timjones066 Wrong, some people actualy want intelligent AI to fight in a game, a deep storyline, and a great gameplay. Some people actualy play games not for the fucking graphics alone. I have a powerful enough pc to max out crysis ive even downloaded custom config files to make it even look better. But the game just sucked to me cause all there is in it was graphics nothing else.

@1986wumpscut You speak the truth. Killzone 2 is about as bland as bland gets. You actually have to modify yourself on the fly in a hot zone in Crysis. Also you can use the environment as a weapon.

And i have played it many times, delta difficulty tbh was way too easy and the AI was really dumb, Go play F.E.A.R , now that is what i call an intelligent good ai. I was a fan of crytek since farcry . But crysis seems to be nothing but a game for graphic whores.

@1986wumpscut, Good games to me for are , wolfenstein ET (most challenging online game ull ever play, like quake 3), Half life series (now thats what i call a deep storyline with great gameplay and character buildup), Doom series ( greath atmosphere, story and graphic at its time), Bioshock (art). etc..

@cyborg34572 Wrong. The AI (which i thought was very good) and the life-like graphics made for very intense gameplay. I thought the story was great too, the voice acting was very impressive and the first time i played the game i felt like i was in an action movie. Every magazine and website that reviewed this game seems to agree with me, but i guess there are some people that just cant be pleased.

Umm, buddy. I've seen the graphics of Crysis firsthand. This game is revolutionary, and it will define whatever FPS you play for the next five years. Crysis II will have an even more enhanced graphics engine, and it will be REDUCED in the XBOX360 and PS3 version. So shut up, and stop pretending your PS3 is the best thing in the world. It's not.

@crimson177 The PS3 DOES have good graphics. But the PC can definitely have better graphics. It's safe to say that in order for a PC to have better graphics than a PS3, the PC must cost over $1000. If you're looking for a quick fix, go for an XBOX360 or a PS3.

Yeah but with the proper hardware a PC will blow a PS3 out of the water any day. The specs on some of the cards today (480, 5970) are multiple fold above a PS3. It also looks 10 times better because we can get resolutions higher than 1080 and enable anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering and get DX11 effects. I haven't been impressed with a video game in quite some time with the exception of Gears of War on the 360... but even that on the PC looks a lot better.

Yeah the PS3's graphics power is about as much as the higher end Nvidia 7xxx series. Not very comparable to any GTX480's or ATi5870's.

From recent indications, Crysis is to be an equal experience across both consoles, *and PC. Which likely means PC, will be slightly downgraded. In my opinion its a fair trade. Awesome graphics are great, but not in slideshow form. Looking forward to the title, I enjoyed the gameplay as much as the graphics. Decent A-I, good hit detection, Sandbox etc...the only thing I have a gripe with is what many single player campaigns fail at....Predictable groupings of enemys.
