No he said it self that when the police were at his house cause some one claimed that he touched one of the kids that the cop pulled his arm so hard that it was hurting his lower back that's why he was in court.... The kid part not the cop part. Plus the man had vitiligo that is why he wore the mask so he did not spread it around! If you don't believe me then go look it up!!!
But i do have the Raynard's where when i get cold they turn purple like my fingers an toes look DEAD... It sucks b/c i can't stay out in the snow in cold for very long time with my son... And i really think i was really DIEING...But God took it all away from me... NOT KIDDING! Although I come from a family with illnesses, the first heard I of lupus was because of Michael. And wow I knew it was bad but I didn't realize just how bad! My respect and love for him just rose by about a mile, and it was already really high. Thank you so much for making these two videos! And I am very sorry all of you guys have to suffer so horribly much!! I wish I could heal you. :-( I mean that sincerely. Hugs.

i know because my grandma and my cousin had lupus and i always felt bad for micheal because it is a horrible disease and when they said he had a cardiac arrest and i was like omg because that is exactly how my cousin and grandma died!! my cousin died when he was 27 and my grandma died at 44!! so i know the pain personally..i am so sorry and i thank you for shedding light on this!! i wish for a cure and i hope you get better dear!!

His health exam went very well this past spring, because he was in remission. As stress built up again, lupus flared again. later he started having trouble with his heart, and his breathing, and his lower back joints. but he was determined that the show go on. finally it claimed him and he gave up the ghost. IT WAS NOT MURDER.
For those of you who THINK you know that Michael ONLY had discoid lupus (i.e. only affecting the skin), think again. It developed into something much more serious, and I know that he complained (quietly) about his joints, etc. It triggered the vitiligo, and both went through periods of flares - especially during times of intense emotional/bodily stress (first think of his life, then think about how bad vitiligo got after his head was burned).
Thank you so much for making this. You have so much courage for making this, I could never come out to family or friends, let alone Youtube or the internet. I knew MJ had lupus and took steroids but it all makes more sense now. I wish those dumb haters would watch this video. Thanks again, and I subscribed :)
My mother passed away from SLE in 1980 when I was 15 years old, and back then, it was rare. But she died at the age of 45, and I know exactly what you're talking about. There wasn't much known about it then. She died 2 yrs from her diagnosis. She also was put on steroids, and changed in looks, and couldn't move around much.....she also had the butterfly rash on her face, and later developed painful skin rashes, and had to stay out of the sun etc......so thankyou....
Thank you for posting this. I almost died in 1999 (I was 24) & was diagnosed with a rare blood disease (TTP = Thrombo Thrombocytopenia Pupura). In 2003 I found out I have SLE (systemic Lupus). I have multiple autoimmune diseases. Lupus explained a lot for me. Why I was always sick out in the sun & why I had pneumonia many times.
No. MJ didn't die from Lupus. He didn't die from a heart attack either but because of a cardic arrest. There are several types of Lupus and MJ's didn't cause damage to his organs only to his skin.
re: The trials. If you haven't already read it, I recommend Aphrodite Jones' "Michael Jackson Conspiracy". She was one of the reporters who used to think MJ was guilty in 2005; she changed her mind while following the trial and put together this book based on court transcripts. It includes witness testimonies and cross examinations and takes you right into the court room. It's a fascinating read.
Thanks very much for you insightful video. You're very courageous.
I wasn't very successful googling the MJ weight gain affair but I suppose you're talking about the years around 2002 to 2003? He did seem somewhat bloated in the infamous Bashir interview and also in the American Bandstand performance in 2002. He did great, though. (to be continued..)
....Earlier, it has been said that his Lupus was Skin Lupus and it was in remission, but I gather that it can develop into systemic lupus. He wasn't that afraid of the sun when they fimed the home movie scenes dating 1990, but when he recorded the commentary in 2002, he clearly said he couldn't go out anymore. So it seems the condition might have gotten significantly worse around 2002.
Girl i not know who u are but you are one of the bravest girls i have ever seen. This video has touched my heart and i wont forget this ever. This is a very powerful talk and i would recommend it to everyone i know. KEEP FIGHTING GIRL YOU CAN DO IT YOU ARE STRONG!!!!!

Thank you again for such a beautiful comment for your friend, MJ, me & others with this disease.

Everyone is not open about their condition. He didn't OWE us a thing. He continued to perform through it all. Damn wasn't that enough. Maybe he hadn't come to terms with it himself. He lived his life in the public eye maybe he wanted to keep some things private. Interesting video, however.
You know actually he did come out about having vitiligo in 1993. He publicly said so. The result? People didn't believe him. Not even Quincy Jones believed him. The press had already branded him as a liar and a freak :(
Yep... He sure did. do a google search on Michael Jackson weight gain. The popz were going nuts taking pics of him over it.. he seemed to have ballooned up over night... I'd link it but youtube doesn't allow links in comments.. if you have probs finding on a google search, let me know.. and i'll put some more links in the description box. Thanks. M.
Meant to ask if you saw part one? The VERY end of p-1 going to p-2 is about MJs sudden weight gain & the popz trying to get pics of hisnew weight. i later found that the media was VERY aware of his lupus & vitiligo since the 80's confirmed again-in the 90's '05 and '07 Instead of telling the public about his illness they used his med necessities re:umbrella, masks, wh-chair, etc... as weird instead of telling the "whole" truth-that it wasn't weird but WAS a med necessity with those diseases.
They said he had vitiligo and Lupus. I wish he had spoken out about it. I am still not sure he had it. I only heard he had it when he died. I wish Michael had been a lot more open about his health problems.
Hi,.. Thank YOU so much for your kind words and thoughts... I appreciate it more than you can know. Thank you. I hope all is well with you and your family. Sincerely, Michelle
A dear friend had Lupus and I use to cry for the pain that she suffered, the horrible sores on her legs, and how she kept on in spite of it. I applaud you for being strong and for informing those that would listen to what Michael was probably suffering and he just kept on doing what he loved; taking care of his children and entertaining the masses of fans. We need to take pause because we never know what someone else is experiencing. God bless you dear, I wish you the best.
Hi and thank you for your comment... Lupus doesn't get better, there's no cure.. it tends to get worse as it goes.. it's a very devastating, dangerous painful disease to live with and can be very fatal.
Hope You are doing better and taking care of yourself. This post not only helps Michael but it also helps his children who will someday read all this stuff.
I understand what you mean how when you have a disease stress makes it all health worse, plus people judge us negatively. MJ did give to the lupus foundation if believe. I suffer from NASH liver disease& diabetes & get misunderstood & judged also. MJ did tell I one interviewer that he had lupus,& the lady that was interviewing him just glazed over that comment & asked about his plastic surgery. Some thing I have seen the media do to a lot of people they interview. It was on the today show, ty
Thank you so much I have lost my aunt and her daughter my aunt was 47 and cousin was 27
they died 5 years apart. I would have typed everything you said but you took the words out of my mouth!! I think Michael was scared that people would think he was lying ot something powerful as he was they would have more funding years ago. You are a brave young lady and right on the money!! I will be praying for you your family and friends and my godsister has it and it hurts to see someone you love hurt.
Ty U Michell 4 your video about MJ. The world did MJ wrong. This is a wakeup call on the evil tabloid pushers, newspapers&media. A MassMedia class opened my eyes 2 manipulated media.
U are the 3rd person I have met that has lupus. I have diabetes,NAS Liver diease w complications. It makes me feel i just cant get ahead of it. I wish MJ would have told the world about his suffering. A gift of music that lifted us all up, has been lost.
RngMn7, I hope this comment posts! I'm trying again, been trying repeatedly to leave you a reply. It seems since youtube did maintenance a couple weeks ago, comments and ratings do not actually go through 80% of the time.
It will SAY "comment posted" and "thanks for rating!"... BUT it never actually shows up 80% of the time. As I talk to more and more people it seems this is a common prob on YT now.
Most never realize this, they comment/rate and leave thinking all went through.
Dear Michelle, thank you for your sharing your story with the world. I'm sorry that you have to suffer so much! Michaels behaviour makes a lot of sense indeed, and I cry when I realize that he must have felt so lonely!! Can this disease be cured? You might not agree, but I think you're very pretty. I will tell people about your great video. Take care, sweetheart.
Thank you for your comment and kind words.. It makes me very sad as well... I wish the news would talk more about what he went through, why he needed all those medications why he had to cover his skin... it saddens me how they alwys tried to make him into a monster. I've learned a lot just since putting this vid up about the trial, both cases and how the media misled and didn't tell facts intentionally that were in his favor. I can't imagine how all it must have felt.
I hate it when people judge you and say something is weird or not normal. There is no such thing as normal these days. Everybody has there own perceptive on whats normal.
Thank you so much for your comment here and in part one.. I agree with you whole heartedly. I've read more and more and have learned so much after I did this video that I wish I wouldn't have even of said the limbo part... I actually even though about taking down the whole vid and redoing the whole thing. I will add an annotation to that part of the video. I agree, the media shames me in how they handled all of it.. and how they are still. Thank you again.
A couple of days ago I saw MJ's skin doctor on CNN who confirmed that he had lupus. I do understand now that he said nothing, he had his own reasons.
Thanks for informing us, and you are doing it very well, with humility. With your videos you are bringing an awareness to many people, of course, those who dare to listen. 5 points. Blessings...
Hi, first of all, great video, although I'm sorry that your sympathy with Michael means you're going through the same thing. I can't imagine how difficult that is. Just quick question; where was it confirmed that he had lupus? I don't doubt that he had it; I've been hearing it swirling around, but has his family ever confirmed it? Has the initial autopsy mentioned anything about it?
Yes... I'll try to add some more links, better ones in the description box... Also, the doctor who diagnosed him with lupus years ago was just on Larry King discussing it the other night I'll try to find the link on cnn. Also, his spokesperson, also it was released during the 2005 trial and confirmed again in 2007. YTube doesn't allow links in the comment section but I will add more in the description box once I get some sleep. thanks for asking, it's good for people to have the sources!
Thank you for such informative videos. This news needs to get out about MJ....so ppl can understand what he went through, and for all those who are struggle with Lupus. You have done a GREAT service Michellemlm! God bless you so much!
Thank you, for the very good information, i know that Michael Jackson battle with this disease and Vitiligo for many many years, and i knew what it was, basicly.
But you have really given it a new dimension for me, you explain it so well..
My mother died from systemic lupus. Before she passed away, she was on about 20 different medications. One very dangerous drug she was on was Predazone which does cause swelling of the body such as face and hands. My mom was diagnosed with Lupus in 11/1999 and died three years later at 74. By the time she died, all her organs including her skin were destroyed. She was diagnosed when she was in the hospital for sever pneumonia. I hope I let you all know how horrible this disease is.
I'm so sorry about the loss of your mother and for all that she endured. May peace and comfort be with her, and with you. Bless you for telling her story, I know it's not easy... I'll never understand your loss but, I will keep you in my thoughts. Thank you again. Michelle
thanks for the video, i knew that mj may had something like this when it came to his skin , he was an entertainer and he wanted to look his best for the public wow , mj will be missed
Thank you Michelle for the courage you had shown and shared to us. Someday in the near future we will realize soon Jah's promise as stated in Isaiah 33:24 that no resident will say that I am Sick in his new order of things! Hope you're coping too well and fight to the last as Jesus did for all us!!!, May Jah blesses you and your family!!!
Michelle, time will come in the near future as the Bible promises that in the new order of Jehovah God, no resident will say that I am sick !!! (Isaiah 33:24). Thanks for the courage in talking about this kind of dreadful disease. Hope you are coping well and would see soon the realities of God's promise as He will never fails us! Jah Bless you!!!
Thank you so much Michelle for sharing with us the most valuable information and educating us how lupus patients suffers much. It is an eye opener specially to prejudgemental people who do not know and understand this rare disease. May the world now understand why Michael behave that way as his disease was progressing and battling this kind of disease. I feel so sorry for Michael that he was not able to tell the world what he's been through as maybe he thinks negatively about it.
Hi Michelle; thank you for posting this video. I was just watching Access Hollywood and one of his doctors (the one is his rumoured to be the biological father or Prince and Paris) and he said he had treated him for Lupus. It must be difficult for you, as well as for him, to live with that disease. I know what it's like to live with pain as I have Spina Befida and scoliosis. Thanks for sharing and speaking up for Michael.
Thank you and I'm so sorry for your pain.. I know pain is hard to live with. If there's anything I can do, send resources or information on pain management, please, let me know. I'll pray for you and for our pain to subside. Thank you for the comment and info you provided.
im so sorry you have the disease, i wish more people would know about it & i hope they do more research now ! you are really really brave, & im proud of yuuh.. i wish michael was still alive, <3 he could have spent money on research for this, but he spend it on children (L) he was such a great man, i miss him.. R.I.P michael! & KEEEP FIGHTING :)
I think you are right. I hope that the mainstream media picks up on this soon, because it`s very important that people know these things. I had no idea how bad vitiligo was for people to try to live with until I saw pictures...
Why didn`t he make the disease public? Well, he did, on Oprah, and who believed him? Not me. But now I do...and I understand why, as an artist, he didn`t want to be defined mainly as a person with a disease. It`s almost heartbreakingly brave.
It can. Lupus can make some people gain weight.. some loose weight like me.. but once you start steroids.. you look bigger and gain a bunch of fluid. hair loss is a major problem too with a lot of lupus patients... According to MJ autop.. he was having a problem with it either from the vitiligo or the lupus, both can cause hair loss. It's sad how these diseases take your identity and how not enough people know about or understand them. Thank you for taking an interest for your friend. :)
i was reading about vitiligo and it was said michael was diagnosed with vitiligo and lupus in 1983...after reading that i typed in his name and lupus here and so found this video
Thank you.. Huggg back to you! Thank you for letting me know how you found the vid too, it helps a lot. I noticed yesterday that more and more columnists are starting to write about it.. I hope more will follow!
Thanks for posting this video i understand more about the disease and what Michael had to go through i never believed that he did the things he did that were lied about and forced on to to get money from him.
Great video and great way to help show what lupus is all about. Im 16 with lupus and if someone at my school were to see me with long sleeves and a hat on they would just laugh when they really don't understand.. because no one knows about the disease. The same thing was happening to MJ.
A woman in our church had lupus and she was really heavy. She said it was because of the steroids. Wow, listening to you makes it all so clear. In my prayers I try to make sure I say a word for people going thru some type of infirmity. I will keep you in as well now. Thank you for letting us know and discarding the shroud of misinformation over people who are dealing with this disease. Heck, Michael may not have said anything because he had enough stress dealing with the disease. God Bless you.
Thanks for taking this time to inform us about lupus, you are an angel. You are so right about not judging - I will try even harder to be more understanding.
Thank you.. I was surprised myself when I found out. I couldn't figure certain things out before but then when i found out I did a V-8 right to my head. (remember that commercial)? lol..
I haven't heard any reports yet about him having Lupus but I can say that I had a case of medicine induced Lupus back in the late 90's. It caused hair loss, fatigue and rashes. Not fun at all..so I sympathize with anyone who has it full-blown.
Fox news confirmed he had lupus now, other most media want the drug drama so they're still talking on about that. Medical induced lupus is scary.. In the beginning...Lupus tends to go in out and of remissions, each flare is worse than before and longer till it's all the time. It is incurable... you may get symptoms again one day. so be careful of the following: No sun, extreme sports, trauma to the body, high emotional stress, sun, flores lights, can all trigger it out of remission. Be careful
You also have to stay out the sun for vitiligo if you depigmented. The sun could cause skin cancer or make your skin start to repigment again. Then there will be an extreme difference between his depigmented skin and new freckling.
No two lupus patients are the same.. but, eventually with every flare, the flares tend to get worse with each one, eventually leading to steroids, chemo or both.. I started out on one week steroid packs after years of having lupus... one week isn't too bad.. but I got worse too with every flare, now I have to be on them all the time.
I really hope your mom stays as well as possible for as long as possible.
Hi 313m3... I realized I never really answered your question completely.. there are different forms of lupus... Discoid, SLE (systemic) and Medicine induced. Do you know which your mom has? I know each are difficult no matter what, good days, bad days, with Discoid lupus you get joint pain and fatigue, skin issues, hair loss issues... with medicine induced and systemic (sle) it does the same but also can attack organs and such.
No he said it self that when the police were at his house cause some one claimed that he touched one of the kids that the cop pulled his arm so hard that it was hurting his lower back that's why he was in court.... Everyone is not open about their condition. He didn't OWE us a thing. He continued to perform through it all. Damn wasn't that enough. Maybe he hadn't come to terms with it himself. He lived his life in the public eye maybe he wanted to keep some things private. Interesting video, however.
SexyAzzHell93 2 years ago 3
You know actually he did come out about having vitiligo in 1993. He publicly said so. The result? People didn't believe him. Not even Quincy Jones believed him. The press had already branded him as a liar and a freak :(

If he was on steroids he would have gained weight but he never gained weight!!
Veetina 2 years ago
Thanks. M.
Michellemlm 2 years ago
Meant to ask if you saw part one? The VERY end of p-1 going to p-2 is about MJs sudden weight gain & the popz trying to get pics of hisnew weight. i later found that the media was VERY aware of his lupus & vitiligo since the 80's confirmed again-in the 90's '05 and '07 Instead of telling the public about his illness they used his med necessities re:umbrella, masks, wh-chair, etc... as weird instead of telling the "whole" truth-that it wasn't weird but WAS a med necessity with those diseases.

Michael Jackson had "Discoid lupus". Skin lupus.
AndreaElizabeth100 2 years ago
They said he had vitiligo and Lupus. I wish he had spoken out about it. I am still not sure he had it. I only heard he had it when he died. I wish Michael had been a lot more open about his health problems.

Michellemlm 2 years ago
now one finally goes through... k.. let me try leaving what I have been trying to post to you...hopefully it will go through now too!

Joylibelle 2 years ago
Thank you for your comment and kind words.. It makes me very sad as well... I wish the news would talk more about what he went through, why he needed all those medications why he had to cover his skin... it saddens me how they alwys tried to make him into a monster. I've learned a lot just since putting this vid up about the trial, both cases and how the media misled and didn't tell facts intentionally that were in his favor. I can't imagine how all it must have felt.

5 points. Blessings...
tee4cross 2 years ago
Hi, first of all, great video, although I'm sorry that your sympathy with Michael means you're going through the same thing. I can't imagine how difficult that is. Just quick question; where was it confirmed that he had lupus? I don't doubt that he had it; I've been hearing it swirling around, but has his family ever confirmed it? Has the initial autopsy mentioned anything about it?
pippacrawford 2 years ago

It`s almost heartbreakingly brave.
jeniferinjapan 2 years ago 2

I haven't heard any reports yet about him having Lupus but I can say that I had a case of medicine induced Lupus back in the late 90's. It caused hair loss, fatigue and rashes. Not fun at all..so I sympathize with anyone who has it full-blown.
mtamorphis 2 years ago
Fox news confirmed he had lupus now, other most media want the drug drama so they're still talking on about that. Medical induced lupus is scary.. In the beginning...Lupus tends to go in out and of remissions, each flare is worse than before and longer till it's all the time. It is incurable... you may get symptoms again one day. so be careful of the following: No sun, extreme sports, trauma to the body, high emotional stress, sun, flores lights, can all trigger it out of remission. Be careful
Michellemlm 2 years ago
You also have to stay out the sun for vitiligo if you depigmented. The sun could cause skin cancer or make your skin start to repigment again. Then there will be an extreme difference between his depigmented skin and new freckling.

No two lupus patients are the same.. but, eventually with every flare, the flares tend to get worse with each one, eventually leading to steroids, chemo or both.. I started out on one week steroid packs after years of having lupus... one week isn't too bad.. but I got worse too with every flare, now I have to be on them all the time.
I really hope your mom stays as well as possible for as long as possible.
Sending well thoughts her way.

well idk much at all about lupus....my mom has lupus.....she's not on steriods....is there diffrent levels of lupus? or is it all just the same....
313m3ntskat3r 2 years ago
