This sketch first appeared in episode 848, and in episode 800 there was a sketch of Grover selling earmuffs. But Kermit says at 0:24 he says "I didn't know you were a door to door salesman."
What was the one skit where Kermit was home and I believe he got locked outside..and Grover was inside and it was snowing and Kermit was scratching at the window? And he was rocking in the chair? I only remember bits of it..I think Grover was selling something...and I think it was one of the first skits of him at home..and it was night time
Speaking of which, I hope that someone has the sketch of Simon Soundman doing a report for the weather by using sound effects, leading to being fired by Kermit and getting replaced.
There was a similar weather clip involving Kermit. It's one where he's talking to a weather man and is surprised when everything that he (the weatherman) says will happen does- right there in the room. If anyone can upload that clip, I'd be so grateful.
The "Kermit at home" sketch I'd love to see again is the one where Grover's outdoors in a snowstorm and Kermit keeps imploring him to come inside...it ends with Grover toasting himself in front of the fire while the frog is on the outside looking in.
come to think of it... I recall Mr Henson did Ernie's voice as well...who do they have doing it now? (I think as far as Kermit is concerned, I hear they "retired" him just after Jim died).
No, Jim Henson's son Brian has done Kermit after his death. He did Kermit in "The Muppet;s Wizard of Oz" for instance. I didn't like that one, and you could tell it wasn't Jim, but Brian does sound a lot like his father. But it's not the same.
are there anymore Kermit and Grover segments including Grover was outside in the cold snow while Kermit is inside the house keeping himself warm near the warm fire and everything?
Kermit was a lead character when Sesame started, the leader of the Muppets. The reason he's not on anymore has something to do with licensing, Sesame's producers would've had to pay for the rights and they chose not to do so.
I believe this had something to do with the Muppets having been bought by the Walt Disney Company for the second time. I do not know all of the details, but I know that this facors in somehow.
@Daffyfan2006 hell no Jim Henson voiced Kermit until 1990 when he passed and even then he wasnt on sesame street for many years at that point and Steves Kermit was on sesame street 1 time for only 3 seconds on elmos world
What if we don't want to spend that much money? Lol. Could you at least give us a hint. Like maybe that Kermit did it for some reason or other. BTW, you can disregard my last post. It did sound like Henson's Kermit and that did look like an earlier Grover. Plus since Kermit said to Grover he didn't know he was a salesman, I'm guessing it was probably the first Grover salesman sketch. I guess I'm thinking of something else where Steve's Kermit is concerned I'll have to look that up.
Here's something I don't get. If the machine can make it rain, why can't it make it stop raining? And doesn't Kermit know it's bad luck to open an umbrella indoors?
mad Kermit face 2:37 :)

Grover's fur seems longer than usual. He also seems kind of tired... maybe he's just too worn out to go get a haircut.

Steve Whitmire did Kermit, and he did Ernie to for that matter as well as Rizzo the Rat, Bean Bunny, Sprocket the Dog, and Wembley Fraggle
classicssmfan 3 years ago
@srubi74 actually no it's Steve Whitmire. Brian doing Kermit is a common misconception.

People complain about the weather. At least Grover does something about it.

Frogs are amphibious. He'll be okay.
DiAnno13 4 years ago
Yeah, but his house and furniture won't.
Garrettk41 4 years ago
Which is more important, his life or his possessions?
DiAnno13 4 years ago
Well, obviously, but that doesn't mean screw everything else. He even said he wants Grover to stop wrecking his place.
Besides a salesman, Grover has also visited Kermit as a plumber- twice. I'd like to see them both if possible.
Garrettk41 4 years ago
Both of them are- never mind, you wish that they were on this website and think that it would be nice to be able to comment on them.
classicssmfan 3 years ago
Yes I've watched them both on the web video player.
