but sculptris only work with triangles, bacause i exported and obj and opened it in blender, and i can see that the object is make with only triangles, there is a way to change this. thanks
You can't "change" between such fundamentally different formats, but typically you would grab a screenshot (printscreen, paste in MS Paint) or render in a different program that can save your image. I might add a "save snapshot" button later.
They're already mapped to a similar range of letter keys on the left side of the keyboard, which vaguely relate to the name/function of the tool - E,R,T/D,F,G/C,V,B
I guess this only works on qwerty keyboards though.
People tell me the program runs well in Wine, so you could try that if you're on Linux.
Something by Chopin... I don't remember which piece I used, and I don't think I included the beginning of it. Listened through a few now but found none that were an exact match. It's kind of tricky since many of his works have the same kind of sound to them.
@AnttiApinaPro I think I added Alt+Left mouse button as an alternative for view rotation, a day or two after releasing the app. Check readme.txt for info, and try downloading again if it's not there.
A question though: how would you feel porting this over to Blender? They have a sculpt mode but i feel this application easily bests Blender in some key areas. On the other hand, Blender is a complete package, while your app isn't. Could be magic!
You developed this in less than a month!? Astounding work. You are destined for truly great things mate ;-) Just grabbed the app, but I'll give this a good try sometime tomorrow ;-)
Well, I didn't think he was giving a tutorial on how to sculpt a glop of lumpy putty. One would hardly need to be taught how to do that.
Yes, it is a demonstration of the tools available. Which could have been produced in a way that shows you how easy it is to sculpt practical things, and not blobs.
Sorry if my opinion irritates fellow youtubers. I'm really sorry. Please don't vote my comment down! Please!
The music is a classical composition by Chopin. I'm afraid I don't remember exactly what it's called, but search for Chopin piano sonata or piano concerto and you might find it.

This is great. I always wondered why ZBrush or Mudbox did not have the option of adding geometry as you sculpt.
Great work!

This is such a cool app! I love the way you are approaching the dev, so simple and easy to do things. LOVE the menu!
Do you have any plans to add texture painting / UV mapping support etc?

I dont have windows anymore, so as much as i would love to try this, it will be in the same box as MoI for me.
However, I wondered if the main group of nine tools could not be hot keyed to the number pad??

The latest release (alpha 3) has pressure support with wacom-compatible tablets.
drpetter 2 years ago
I'm aware you've gotten requests for a mac version in the past, but seriously, please do it.

I wonder how well this program works with the new wacom pen and touch's.

Hi! Just wanted you to know that this is a great tool!
However, I have a problem. My middle mouse button is broken. I can roll it, yet I cannot push it. Is there any way to change the rotation?

Wow, seems to become a good program!
But, can you remove the music from your other videos (e.g. Adaptive mesh sculpting 3), because its blocked in my country...
DorianVasco 2 years ago
Please say you'll either do a Linux version of this, or open-source the code so someone else can port it and take it further.
It looks amazing.
I just about gasped when I realized that it tesselates on the fly to handle much more detail with much less polys. Awesome work.

This is amazing but I have 1 glitch: the font doesn't load... so all i get is white boxes where letters should be, can you think of any ways to fix?

this app looks extremely promising - and it is very gracious to release "early alpha" of such power and ease-to-use to the community. thanks a lot !

the music was awesome. great stuff.
I kept expecting the guy to sculpt some kind of recognizable object, but it was just an abstract blob of shit in the end...
meserostalking 2 years ago
And yet still a hundred times better than anything you could make.
Nice demo of what looks like a promising package.

Oooo, you got me on that one. Now my feelings are sore. Damn you, internet bullies with your quick wits!
meserostalking 2 years ago
dude it is a test on the application, hes just giving an example on all the tools thats available, not a modeling tutorial.
Back to the topic, the package seems awesome, the masking is an unbelievably useful feature

Anyway, I guess I should have kept my opinion to myself in the first place. I don't have any use for 3D software in the first place.

The UI is beautiful as is the early implementation of the tools. I only wish this was cross platform and available to test on OS X.
