I Really Like The Video From Your This is the acceleration of my new converted GSXR Motorcycle called E*Speed, It will be raced at many venues this coming 2010 season including the TTXGP
you can use an alternator to charge up the batts and power the motor. and theirs better ways. SEE my comments @ PESWiki / CaNZeR mike peine. How could you use 350 amps. costing - $500.00 that self generates for ten to a hundred years ?
is streamlining legal in TTXGP racing ?if so with a good design you could almost double the range, increase the top speed.90 percent of all your power is wasted on air resistance, motorcycles despite what you think or heard are not very good at cutting through the wind.
@gettuff2 Chain-drive motors supposedly give more torque and RPM than hub motors. *Unless you meant put a direct drive in a wheel, which might be hard to manufacture with right sizes and what not but seems like a great theory, against current hub motors that is*.
@staver76 Yes you a right. Sorry about that. It's a whole lot easier to do it the way you have without huge expense. There is also less unsprung weight the way you have done it. I am impressed with what you have accomplished, I was merely thinking ahead. All the best
@CDA441 You could use an alternator to charge up the batteries. But this would never result in higher range since you need to deliver power to the alternator which comes from the batteries. If the alternator is 100% efficient, your range will be the same. Everyone knows this is not the case. So by installing an alternator recharging the batteries, you would actually get less range than without one.
Nice work man; a question: if you put the engine that close to the center of the wheel, why not suppressing the chain and going for pinion and spurs to reduce friction?
@jeanlerider i think that the chain has many simultaneous points of contact, a pinion only touches with 1 or 2 teeth at a time. Sounds very precarious to me
@maoristereo That's the point; you'll save precious energy there, there is reliable 45° pinion shaft transmission such as the one one BMW motorcycle for instance, don't you think a smaller version of these could be adequate to deal with your engine power?
this is awsome, i like gass powered bikes, they have a good sound the are a bit stronger'', but another way, eletrick bikes like this is not annoying for the old woman down the street, and the most importan, one day the world is out of gass!!!!, that day i will love the man ho made thos bike!

the friction on that drivetrain is really low. I'd expect that to spin down a bit faster.

if you come off - it happens, hope that you dont fall on that big motor sticking out the side :/ - other than that Awesome =D

what Batteries?

Why not use the motor as the hub and connect the rim to the motor? No loss through the chain, wear etc..

@Chuechco93 you could always use a pma which doesnt reaquire in charge to go into them. and they will not use power just give you some

WOW!
Daten???
Ich befürchte DIE Übersetzung ist net ganz passend; fährst Du 72V??
dann eher 1:3 das kleinste Taperlock ist 15Z; da brauchst z.b. ein 45Z Krad.
