This video is for women who are addicted and using to try and encourage them to think about the baby and get help. Good video. I can hardly think of a crueller kind of suffering than when kids are addicted young by their parents. The best fundamental reaction to it is grief, as this video tries to say, and then resources to educate evasion of abuse of drugs - especially by giving more attractive alternatives to those likely to become addicted, or in fact addicted.

I smoked 3 cigarretts a day on my first pregnancy, at the 7th month i lost my baby, he died inside of me. The Drs said it wasn't the cigarretts because 3 was not that much. But something in me said that if i didnt smoke at all i would now have my baby boy. 3 years later i got pregnant again. did not smoked one single cigarrette since i saw the positive test. He was born 3 yrs e one day after i lost his brother. He was a premature (8months), he was 42cm and 2400Gr, but healthy. He is 5 yrs old.

@djaniralx It is not your fault you lost your first child. When I was pregnant of my son, 27 years ago. My sister passed away and all I did was smoke cigarettes and drink tea. I put only 2 kilos throughout the entire 9 month period. I was so enveloped with grief for my sister all I could do was cry for her.

My son was born weighing 35,000grm or 7lb 15 oz. He is a healthy intelligent young man.

Please do not burden yourself or blame yourself for losing your son, please don`t do that .

My grandma smokes around me, I am 11 , and I have worse lungs than her cause her lungs adapted to cigar smoke But I dont smoke so My lungs did not adapt, But Now I have a high risk of not breathing at night, I got diagnosed with a breathing problem and I came close to having lung cancer, but my grandma is fine and she has not quit yet. I stop breathing sometimes just hoping I pass B4 I suffer any more .

That's good, I'm glad he's okay. There are always some consequences though they be subtle. That's the problem it's an addiction and some people just don't know how to do hard and getting clean and sober is hard and a totally unselfish and selfish act depending on who you're doing it for. I did it for my children.

there's a lot of judgement going on in these photos. it is terribly sad when babies are withdrawing, i've seen it and it make me cry. but the women feel it too - some of their lives are hideous and turning to addictive substances mightve been an answer - there are alternatives during pregnancy; methadone, subutex etc. neither good for a fetus perse, but full blown maternal withdrawls may lose the baby entirely. yes its aweful, but videos such as this aren't necessary - hows does judging help?

This song was written because of my own struggles with drugs up into my 3 trimester. It's a wake up call; its to help others who may have or are dealing with the same issue think about what the fetus is experiencing as an alive soul.

thank you for this video though it made me cry. I was an addict baby myself, lost my mother to drug addiction when I was only 16. People nee to wake up and realize the seriousness of addiction and how it effects the people around them not just themselves. Addiction will always be a selfish disease.

Thank you for sharing that. I went in treatment six and a half months pregnant with a cocaine addiction. I was clean a month when I went in by gods grace.

It was hard but I had to do it for my baby. That's where this song came from, my guilt and shame and from watching my daughter suffer when she came out the womb. Thank God, it could have been worse.
