  • thank for the examples of homeostasis... these are wat i need..

  • You're awesome. These videos will help.

  • can u help me, what are the 5 key hormones?

  • Wow! This was better than my lecture in class!

  • you rock! lol

  • 7:38 too much glucose in urine? shouldn't it be in the blood which results in the urine? lol

  • i was passed my exam because of this thank u :)

  • U r so smart u should do a video about what happens to the body when a man takes estrogen and spironolactone to become a woman ...

  • I LOVE YOU ♥

  • Lol and btw the "review" at the end of the video is fucking wrong. "Adrenal medulla" SHOULD be "adrenal cortex" to match up with epinephrine and fight or flight. ADH does not match up with ANY of the glands shown(should be posterior pituitary). Finally, the hypothalamus doesn't secrete any of the hormones up there. GG. Solid lesson ruined by a poorly put together quiz at the end.

  • Question: Why does the pituitary gland look like a ballsack?

  • thanks these video of your are very good they make the subject seem too easy.. wish i could have discovered it before..

  • hi - i was actually doing this as a review for finals. for the review @min 9:23.. what is the ans for target cell b- stimulates ovaries. Also for Hypothalamus is it ADH & boost water retention is it correct or is this correct for anterior pituitary.. one last question thyriod gland-1-e.

  • Mr. Anderson is absolutely awesome. will you be My professor?

  • Good overview of the endocrine system. College senior here. You covered about 1.5 lectures. Definitely used this as a refresher lecture for what I have to review for Thursday's exam.

    Thanks man.

  • Thank you for making my life a little bit less stressful!

You cleared all the questions I had for my test tomorrow.

Too bad you weren't my teacher.

  • my prof says Islets of langerhans the same way lmao

  • I have one of those professors that are not clear with their discussions and jumps all over the chapter in AP.In that way I do not get the whole point of the topic, but thank you so much, I get it now (I am the type of person that in order for me to get the basic concepts I must get the overall picture)...MAY GOD BLESS YOU!!

  • @ foxrazgriz the production of melatonin by the pineal gland is inhibited by light and permitted by darkness. It has nothing to do with a time table. Thus melatonin is triggered by the absence of light.

  • very nice sir hats off for u

  • god bless people like you that post this types of videos. YOU TUBES HELP ME A LOT IN BIOLOGY IT MAKES IT MORE CLEAR BECAUSE THE BOOK DRIVES ME NUTS.... BUT KEEP ON THE GOOD WORK I HOPE YOU KEEP ON POSTING NICE CLEAR VIDEOS. A+ VIDEO. :)

  • If melatonin secreted by the pineal gland helps us to sleep, is it our "inner clock"? By that, I mean does it set up patterns of sleep?

For instance, does the gland start to secrete at 11PM if I tend to stay up until 11PM for a period of time? Will it also stop secreting melatonin at 10AM if I sleep in until 10AM for a while?

Basically, does it regulate sleep patterns and alternate sleep patterns?

  • Thank you for this! I understand it better here than on the book :)

  • This is a helpful video for a quick understanding of this system, thanks..
