I think its because in the auditions, they get to sing a song of their own choice.. In the actual live compotitions, they have to pick a certain song from a certain category.. that sucked. Thats why Matt Giraud got voted out in season 8. :(

I dont know why some people assume that she doesn't have much range. she may have limits on higher notes but she reached C5 on this one. And she went down to G3. For me that is enough range because she has a very beautiful deep tone already.

That couldn't be any more false... The end was different, Antonella sang it a little differently and she added a different verse. Everyone on the show is "copying" someone else, their not singing their own material. Antonella's was actually more original, Lindsay didn't really change anything about the song. She did sing it a lot better though.
