@Jauckor The song is based on a directed movie called "My Own Private Idaho", which has some Idaho to it, but the song is more based on the movie than the state. Having lived there, Idaho has its boring and scenic interesting places just like any other state. :)

I saw the B-52's on the Legion Field stage in Athens back in 1990 just as Cosmic Thing was coming out. Love Tractor opened up for them. It was great! Students were filling all the windows in Creswell Hall looking down into the bowl. Kate was rocking her flapper dress like always!

I don't want to sound patronising but it took guts for them to perform this song in 2000 on Leno. I'm sure the majority of the studio audience and people at home must have been thinking "wtf is this shit?". But class is class, and this was a very good performance. Shame about Kate looking like a Chucky Doll though, but at least the others looked great!

I saw them in 1987 at University of Minnesota and they were awesome! People were dancing so hard that the balcony was swaying up and down and the management told them they couldn't do Rock Lobster!
