@sokha326 wind is a huge factor in sprints, Blake's 9.92 (-1.4m/s) is equal to a 9.84 in still conditions. The fact that both of Bolt's 200m WR's were run into headwinds just makes them that much more impressive, -0.3m/s isn't much though, that converts his 19.19 to a 19.17 in still conditions
@sokha326 think he could conceivably had run maybe low 9.6s, the reason his 200m wasn't as good as berlin is because his speed endurance was down, obviously this would have hampered him a lot less in the 100m than the 200m, thats why he ran magnificently in the 4x100 relay
@Exus1234 bolts coach said he could have broke the world record in this run in daegu but because he got lane 3 is slowed him down alot because of his size he had to slow down to stay in the lane and it was hurting his knees because it was to sharp for him, he said that usain can run around 0.20 seconds quicker in lane 5/6 then he can in lane 3
You guys are stupid this is 200 not 100 of course he's not gonna get 9 sec.

woah!..imagine what he wouldve ran in the 100m!!!..we missed out on a 9.7 by the looks of it....
rcaddict72 5 months ago
@rcaddict72 I reckon a sub 9.7 ;)
sokha326 5 months ago
@sokha326 Bolt was in sub to low to 9.7 shape here no doubt, but considering strong headwind I think he would've clocked in the low 9.8's
phastman1994 5 months ago
@phastman1994 Headwind doesn't really effect him that much, he ran his 19.19 into a -0.3 headwind

@sokha326 the 100m final had a -1.4m headwind, so Bolt if he had a decent start would have run say 9.72-9.78 i reckon
