I loved it once you `relaxed` into it and became more sure of yourself after about 0;47.Well done,I can only play simple mozart, and that ,oh so badly!
Bravo!! Keep it up. You are almost there, (95%). The left hand is very good. Did you know that there is another version of this Etude? You should look it up. Since you are Canadian, you might know that Anton Kuerti is one of the few pianists that have recorded it. You have a bright future.
(Dont get me wrong, it takes a lot of skill to play this piece)But you still need a lot of work on this piece...mostly the left hand...u bring out the right hand beautifully, but u need to make sure u hit the right notes in the left. Also, USE THE MIDDLE PEDAL.Thats wht thts there for to hold down the lower octaves it sounds choppy otherwise. Keep the good work
From Joe Townley: Hi Jon, Thanks for remembering me from the old days on the Piano Forum. This is the piece that initially spurred me to come back to the piano in 2001 after being away since 1981. I don't recall playing it as well as you do, I could never get a handle on good dynamics, which is partly why my playing always sounds so bland. Keep up the good work!
i cant reach the d# to f# stretch in the beginning with the left hand nor the d# to g# looks like u might be playing the d to g one after the other how are u playing them? thanks for the help i need to adapt this to my hand
