You act like losing a few hundred banks is a big deal. 300/ 9300 is only just over 3% of banks, with a miniscule percentage of the loan market. The mega banks are reponsible for 70% of lending. Your panic makes no sense.

Thus far, the Stimulus spending/ Bailouts have cost the US more than WWI, WWII, and the New Deal combined and we get GDP growth of 0.875% for the Third Quarter? and for the banks. 60% of commercial real estate lending comes from smaller/regional banks. commercial real estate is killing the small banks while the big banksters will just get a hand out.
First, how can the GDP figure be4 postive when Q4 last year was down more than 5%, Q1 this year was down over 6%, and Q2 was negatve? How can 3.5% make up for that?
And the government spending as a percentage of GDP is far, far less than the money spent in WWII alone. The national debt was reduced to near 0 in '37 and was 201% of GDP after the war in '45. he current national debt is just over 60% of GDP.
The % of banks and lending is what counts, and it's no where near 60%, stupid.

You're not factoring in medicare and medicaid liabilities, individual debt (credit cards, mortgages) among other things, and the fact that after WWII the US still had a manufacturing base, now the US is deindustrialized and relies on a service based economy and an unlimited line of credit from foreign lenders.
Let's not forget the derivatives bubble, which was $50 trillion in 2001, now it's $1.5 quadrillion. That's a lot of debt.

NGDP should be 5%, with a negative 5% Fed funds rate. Again, you make comments with no numbers or understanding of macroeconomics.

I don't live in michigan and never been in flint, but I read the stats on unemployment and read what others are saying and they are talking about demolishing neighborhoods in flint. So its pretty bad even in the suburbs now. Michigan is like ground zero. Anyone going there needs there head checked.

There is no jobs in california. I live in central california and jobs were hard to find during the so called "Boom years" due to all the outsourcing and mexicans and foreigners on visas coming into california. Now that the economy has tanked there definitely isn't any jobs.

Yeah central valley. Surpisingly the unemployment in the central valley isn't at record highs, whereas most of california is at record highs. Im sure that will change though in the winter because of a lot of the jobs are seasonal agriculture related.

Over on the Alex Jones Channel, two of Alex's reporters did a video on the collapse of Detroit Demcad! The situation from the Video looks Dire down there. One of the Reporters mentioned that Flint was just as bad! I can honestly say that I've never seen anything that bad in my life. The number over any period of time is unimportant. It's the percentage and the number and amount of loans on average. This is basic common sense.
You act like losing a few hundred banks is a big deal. 300/ 9300 is only just over 3% of banks, with a miniscule percentage of the loan market. The mega banks are reponsible for 70% of lending. Your panic makes no sense.

Speaking of GDP, its worth noting that the 3.5% was annualized. REAL GDP growth of the quarter was 0.875%. Lets consider this for a moment. Thus far, the Stimulus spending/ Bailouts have cost the US more than WWI, WWII, and the New Deal combined and we get GDP growth of 0.875% for the Third Quarter? and for the banks. 60% of commercial real estate lending comes from smaller/regional banks. commercial real estate is killing the small banks while the big banksters will just get a hand out.

First, how can the GDP figure be4 postive when Q4 last year was down more than 5%, Q1 this year was down over 6%, and Q2 was negatve? How can 3.5% make up for that?
And the government spending as a percentage of GDP is far, far less than the money spent in WWII alone. The national debt was reduced to near 0 in '37 and was 201% of GDP after the war in '45. he current national debt is just over 60% of GDP.
The % of banks and lending is what counts, and it's no where near 60%, stupid.

i didnt said lending in general. i said 60%of commercial real estate lending comes from smaller/ regional banks. this is why there are bank at least one bank failure every week. and the national debt. we have long term commitments to fund social security,medicare,medicaid. the coming added debt estimates and entitlements are as low as $43 trillion and as high as $102 trillion.

You're not factoring in medicare and medicaid liabilities, individual debt (credit cards, mortgages) among other things, and the fact that after WWII the US still had a manufacturing base, now the US is deindustrialized and relies on a service based economy and an unlimited line of credit from foreign lenders.
Let's not forget the derivatives bubble, which was $50 trillion in 2001, now it's $1.5 quadrillion. That's a lot of debt.

And with regard to the deindustrialization of the US, we haven't lost that many jobs to other counries. We've mostly lost jobs to machines. Automation in the US has replaced far more workers, making the economy more efficient with the gains going to the rich. Manufacturing jobs in the world as a whole are down 30% in the last ten years. They've even gone down in China.

The derivatives bubble in that 40-50 trillion dollars are mostly credit default swaps which goes up in value along with the mortgage-backed securites and other debt they insure. The MBS market has recovered a great deal due to the Fed and Treasury.

Apparently you're unfamiiliar with gaps in current demand versus long-term moving average trends. It's only been half filled and the stimulus is merely trickling in. The stimulus needs to be twice as large to bring unemployment back to around 5%. Otherwise, more monetary stimulus with higher multipliers has to occur, with penalties on bank deposits with the Fed. NGDP should be 5%, with a negative 5% Fed funds rate. Again, you make comments with no numbers or understanding of macroeconomics.
