I know, it was slightly annoying to have had the percussion section out of time.
As far as I know, Phil (BassBone) plays for a local youth orchestra and concert band in High Wycombe and Bucks County. He may do more, but I've moved away since this performance, so I won't know.
Yeah, the percussion section as a whole only had one rehearsal with us for this, and somehow I knew they were going to out before this. Real shame, as the brass worked so hard for this.
We have one French Horn. A brass dectet is made up of 4 trumpets (or 3 and flugelhorn) French horn, 3 trombones, bass trombone and tuba. Our horn player is just behind the conductor in this vid.
Yeah, what I meant was had you seen this before I posted that comment, because if you had, then I am 100% wrong, and if you hadn't, I was right at the time.
Who has your bass trombonist played for? Helps if percussion section watches doesn't it! even more so if they onlt had the one rehearsal!

oh.. but i can't really hear him with the fermatas at the beginning
edward0728 3 years ago
That's because only the trumpets and trombones have the fermatas at the beginning.
Oh, and our horn player's a girl. Glad she hasn't seen this, she'll take offence ;-)

No. It just amused me. 100% wrong on what? I don't play at the beginning, and I'm of the female variety ...

The "conductor" is there for purely ornamental purposes, folks.
