I raced a gallardo barboni not long ago with my 03 cobra vert and it was a blood bath. Cobra has a 322 ci stroker, 4.0 Whipple, stage three race port heads and supporting mods ( 725 RWHP on 93 Octane 16psi ). I lifted at 130... waited... then blew his doors off..... again. On a race track.. different story :-). I love pasta rockets but Muscle is the way to go for straight line speed.

Throw ONE 2.2/2.4/2.8L KB or Whipple, and it's a totally different story. That's a proper MUSCLE Vs. SUPER EXOTIC. - & Their are plenty of Cobra's beating cars 4X more expensive.
if that Cobra rely dyno'd @ 496rwhp then you should of been able to beat that Lambo, at least up to the 140mph. or your just shifting way to early. i noticed that you held him untill you shifted

yes of course theyre more of a bargain supercar. My dad has the c6 z06, which outperforms most exotics for a lower price. But the interior isn't as nice, the driveline is loud and the handling isn't very sophisticated. It's still a sweet car, just not as high status or luxury as an exotic.
03-04 Cobras comes with a low compression iron block and forged internals built for boost. and tuning + an aftermarket heat exchanger makes a big difference in reliability. they still suck compared to the Supra TT block, but still good nevertheless.
he can beat the lambo with the stock eaton...i bet if both cars had the same horsepower the outcome would have been a lil closer

different performance guy, you can get any civic, through a 1/4 mi quickly, but 140-180 not happening, it takes a good car to pull at these speeds.
There are several ways to test performance, autocross, or large fast tracks like the NRing
