Imagine how fast he would have went if he drove it properly. All he did was use the Vette's raw power on the straights. He early apexed every turn and coasted through most of them. With a good driver that car could go faster. Just because you strap yourself in a race car it doesn't make you a good driver, but because he set a record now everybody thinks so.
@bjersr Sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Lou Gigliotti is a 3 Time World Challenge Champion, 2001 Long Beach Trans Am winner, and 2002 Daytona Paul Revere 250 rolex race winner. Who are you? Oh yeah, nobody.
We need this to happen at old spiral highway in lewiston, idaho very south west of idaho. best road ive ever driven on period. 6.5 miles and a a1,400 ft. elevation change uphill. twice the corners and every section is better than this road. if you dont believe me search it up. theres plenty of cars over here in the NW and up on the west side for people to want to do this.
I looked up in Google earth! I think you mean Road 129! That looks really challenging to me! Perhaps it's a bit too dangerous because of the huge drops beside the road! Wish my country would have roads and landscapes like this! We only have 1 Hillclimb event during the year.
I have been on that road and is it totally sick. Not to take anything away Lou, because that was a great drive, but isn't that part of 341 some of the straighter parts?!
Great job and video as always. Keep the hammer down and the tubes long!
I first saw Lou Gigliotta in action back in the mid 90's when he raced Saleen Mustangs... I have an old video on here of Lou racing a Saleen at Lime Rock, back in 1997. I'd love to meet and chat with Lou sometime
