  • Carbs are not bad for you, the problem is that most people eat bad carbs, i'e white bread, white pasta and white rice. If you eat complex carbs (brown bread etc etc) then there won't be a problem. You shouldn't eliminate any food group from your diet, just pick the healthier option instead. Your body needs carbs.

  • great video! will deff have to check out some of the things you mentioned i love raisins haha :-) the kashi bars are awesome I just made carob coconut bars this wsekend theyre similar I deff want to do a recipe vid on them soon :-)

  • No people You don't need carbs atal in your diet its a proven fact that we don't need them for example when we were cave men we did not have carbohydrates only a tiny bit in like fruit but not proper carbs like wheat and stuff like that. Also the atkins diet is proven a healthy diet and its a non carb diet.

  • eehm who told u that carbs are 'bad'?! u need them in ur diet! im a healthy person too but u cant survive with just fruits & veggies! cmon i like ur videos but this is just a bad example and if u weigh 100lbs.. girl, ur underweight!.....(if ur wondering im 5'7 120lbs just to let u know that im not a jealous hater LOL)

  • Carbs are not bad. Refined carbs are. If you eat 100& WHOLE GRaIN carbs they won't do anything to you. If you eat white processed breads & pastas that have been processed then yes those are bad.

  • first lessons I learned was not to eat too much of bananas and grapes... they have a super high amount of sugar and that is sort of bad for you since it confuses your insulin and after that you'll have the need to eat more etc. and bananas aren't even sorted as fruits but as carbs because of their high amount of sugar....

  • well i dont mean junk food its just heathy for woman to have some fat on them, more then men and i got really skinny at one point that i lost my period and the doctor said it was because i was under weight and whitch made me unheathy but your probley naturaly thin unlike me haha

  • @bvencia I broke my body's ability to turn protein and fat into blood sugar and have to intake a third of my daily caloric intake in pure sugar every single day now. I broke it by losing 3-4 lbs a week for a year about a year ago, by only slightly lowering my caloric intake and keeping my daily treadmilling the same. I have been running several miles daily out of neccassity of health issues for several years now. I used to never eat candy; now I down about 700 cals in lollipops daily. T_T

  • and i don't know if they sell them in canada, but have you ever had a LaraBar? they are (mostly) raw, vegan, gluten free, organic..etc etc basically just fruit and nuts (+ cocoa or cinnamon) squished together in bar form. SOOOOO good.

  • I love bread, but only allow myself moderate consumption (i.e., for sandwiches only). It can't turn to fat if you burn it off. You typically burn most if not all of the calories you consume in an entire day...so it can't turn to fat if you don't overdo it.

  • How do you get your essential amino acids on a vegetarian/vegan diet? Just found out I'm pregnant and want to cut down on meats....esp. red meats. I personally hate red meats, but I hate cooking 2x (once for me and once for my fiancee). I should just stop buying red meats...ugh so gross.

  • Not all carbs are bad. Carbs are your major source of energy. Refined carbs are bad and lead to spikes of glucose in your blood. Unrefined carbs (whole wheat) are actually very good for you because they are high in fiber.

  • I have a great recipe to make that taziki (spelling?) sauce with non fat or soy yogurt and it is really good and even HEALTHIER! I am going to try and make a vid soon of the recipe, I will forward to you of you like :)

  • hey I'm from ontario as well and just so you know I'm about 100% positive that I saw some soy base yoghurts and other dairy products in the health section of the Loblaw's superstore that is near my house

  • The only difference between "natural" sugar (like in raisins) and table sugar is that table sugar is refined. You are ingesting the exact same sugar molecule and your body does not differentiate between the two. But I agree that raisins are sooo good! I want to try those Kashi bars now too. :)

  • artifical sugat is very bad for you im not being ugly im just warning you. They can cause migranes and all sorts of health issues. Splenda has been linked to diabetes and obesity.

  • kashi bars are definitely not raw. look into larabars. they're raw, delicious, and made of completely natural ingredients. AND they're super filling.

    But if you want you can freeze some

    No sugar added kind which is allot

    better then the pre made kinds that

    have ALLOT of sugar added.And yes

    its much heathier then Ice Cream :)

  • MMMMMMM That Kashi Cereal look so good. But, unfortunately I wouldn't be able to have any as I have absolutely no control. B4 I went Raw I was literally addicted to cereal and it too awhile to lose the addiction so I know if I have even one bowl I wouldn't be able to control myself :)

    Great video though, I love the many many healthy alternatives that you consume. I am definitely taking not.
