I greatly appreciated hearing from a student of Neil Postman and especially to learn he was a warm, winsome and inviting man (to use his terms, to learn that what he "gave off" is really who he was). Professor Bach describes him so well and in doing so describes a true teacher: one who teaches his or her students how to think, not merely what to think. Thanks for posting this encouraging and bittersweet clip. -- Gary P.
