Yeh, she might be arguably weaker than Superman, but was trained by FIERCE WARRIORS WHO PRACTICED FOR OVER 2,000 YEARS!! When baby Clark was reaching for a bottle, she was reaching for a sword! She more than deserves a resurgence in popularity. From what I've seen of her in this movie, I only wish they had enhanced the "metal" parts of her costume for a more armored look.

k I ended up watching this movie the movie was good Im glad they decided to include or show some new characters instead of the same old batman, superman and so on. The other characters had some depth to them too they were not there just for the show, they had brief story lines. There is a lot of untapped potential for Wonder Woman. She has proved she can be superior to Superman (or at the very least on his level) many many times.
WW has the best fight scenes out of the Trinity IMO. Batman's batarangs and acrobatics are cool and all but WW's got swords, lassos, and good old-fashioned head-bashing action. And Superman's fights TBH get old after a while.

@sweetlovingboy It's not sexist, it's totally popularity-driven: since the vast majority of comic readers are hetero men in this culture, they either want to identify with the heroes, or admire/ogle the heroines. Now TV/movie viewers skew more gender equal, but we still have a way to go before people can accept that WW is just as good as Superman, a better fighter, etc.
Except for the fact that WW sucks, have a bad background story, her powerlevel doesnt make any sense and she is nowhere near Superman in power level. Every time she have battled him and done so on equal terms have just been for fans. Superman can fight on terms with elder gods and withstand planetary forces attacks and lift over 100 million tons WW have never been shown to be even close to that. WW however is undoubtedly the better fighter having received harsh warrior training.

@babyface2k Bruce Timm has admitted that while he was doing JL/JLU he had no understanding of Diana's character nor did he know what to do with her. Wonder woman is awesome here! :D I mean the animation is just beautiful here and the fight scene is amazing. Every girl here was great in this scene: Barda, the Furries, Granny. XDD
There is a lot of untapped potential for Wonder Woman. She has proved she can be superior to Superman (or at the very least on his level) many many times.
Anyways great job to the animators here!

WW has the best fight scenes out of the Trinity IMO. Batman's batarangs and acrobatics are cool and all but WW's got swords, lassos, and good old-fashioned head-bashing action. And Superman's fights TBH get old after a while.

@sweetlovingboy It's not sexist, it's totally popularity-driven: since the vast majority of comic readers are hetero men in this culture, they either want to identify with the heroes, or admire/ogle the heroines. Now TV/movie viewers skew more gender equal, but we still have a way to go before people can accept that WW is just as good as Superman, a better fighter, etc.

Except for the fact that WW sucks, have a bad background story, her powerlevel doesnt make any sense and she is nowhere near Superman in power level. Every time she have battled him and done so on equal terms have just been for fans. Superman can fight on terms with elder gods and withstand planetary forces attacks and lift over 100 million tons WW have never been shown to be even close to that. WW however is undoubtedly the better fighter having received harsh warrior training.

@DorianMichaelsIII its a rumor. there are other rumor release yrs for 2013 and 2015 also. its not even in production they're just 'considering' it. but i hope they do make one. i'm a huge batman fan and ww fan. they made super man movies, batman, spider man, dare devil, hulk, x-men, wolverine, iron man, thor is being released, green lantern, justice league, captain america (looking forward to that one), they really need to consider following though on a ww film.

Yes. I believe Wonder Woman will win. I didn't focus on her saving Big Barda lol. I focused more on Barda and Stompa fighting. And the director not showing a good fight between Wonder Woman and Stompa. But it be great if those boring writers (it's time to fire them all-they keep changing characters' past to make it a little more amusing-so amateur attempt) would give us the brawl with Wonder Woman against Big Barda very soon. Better yet, Wonder Woman vs. Supergirl!!

@babyface2k Bruce Timm has admitted that while he was doing JL/JLU he had no understanding of Diana's character nor did he know what to do with her. I don't know if he ever truly fixed that problem in some of the more recent projects with her in them, but hearing him say stuff like that...it really makes me question his ability to be objective in regards to the other DC characters who are not Batman.

I always thought Wonder Woman is the strongest of all females with powers (excluding Supergirl-why she still remains as a girl regardless of her being older than Superman when both existed in the planet Krypton). She even pulled and dragged Super Girl easily with her lasso. But it seems Barda is the "Amazon champion" in space. And the way Barda trained The Furies an defeated Stompa easily, I kinda question Wonder Woman's title now. I want them to fight someday to know who will win please.

@AgentDerevko yeah i all know that...and given time and time supergirl will be the most powerful hero in the world.because she will surpass even superman...but even so... supergirl is a far cry from wondy's exceptional skills...with the likes of superman and supergirl rely only on their strength and the endurance of their body of whatever throws at them...not likely wondy's would surely do that..not because she's not invulnerable..but because saving energy in the fight would surely close to win.

@alexmiddleton87 i agree that superman holds back, but not wonder woman, she always gives it her all! name one fight where she didn't try her hardest to win. she sure tried her best to win this battle, and almost died a couple times. supergirl would have been invulnerable to the furies and possibly could have taken them down just as easily just as superman did in Superman the animated series episode Legacy Part2, and the superman in that series was hella weak. he had trouble lifting a car...

I can't understand why Wonder Woman doesn't have her own animated series. Superman and Batman have their own. It's just sexist, I don't know. When will Warner Bros recognize the potential of the Amazon Princess? Diana has got a lot of loyal fans out there.
