I guess everyone who likes the korgis' original version better than beck's version is just nostalgic or something, I find the original version kinda twee, Beck gives a certain gloomy atmosphere to it.

Why?. Just because some people prefer the original doesn't mean they're being nostalgic it means they prefer the original. I don't remember the original but after listening to the Korgis version and then this version I think the Korgis is 100 times better. This is just sloppy with no passion. It sounds like he's drunk and can't really be bothered to sing. It's shit compared to the Korgis.

This is a bizarre place to have a show, if you've never been, Angel Orensanz is a deconsecrated synagogue in lower manhattan, no AC and no heat in winter, and I think one of the worst places to have a gig in NYC. Still, must have been great seeing him in a space meant to hold no more than a few hundred.
