Why are people hating on the new remake version? Who cares if it sucks? Don't you guys want them to catch up to the manga already?

If you don't know this yet, the manga for Hunter x Hunter has NOT finished yet. It continues beyond the old anime series. So if I were you I'd just support the new remake so that it airs beyond the manga.

This reminds me of the awesomeness of Yoshihiro Togashi. What other author got his series into a TV series from the beginning TWICE ???!! Akira Toriyama got Dragon Ball Z Kai, but Yoshihiro Togashi got the series completely remade, not from recycled footage. Togashi sensei should be on-par with Toriyama sensei.

@pimentx Arakawa's FMA's second series is quite different from the first series, thus not counting as a full remake as HxH. Hunter x Hunter's 2 anime are basically the same plot. Miura's Berserk only got one TV series and the others were OVAs.

I love both the old and the 2011 version lol. i did find myself absolutely loving the new 2011 op and ed tho, there's an edge to it that wasn't in the older version, which was slower and more laidback overall (until the Genei Ryodan arc anyway). The only thing i had a hard time swallowing was some of the voice actor changes (specifically Gon, but i guess it's hard to follow up to Takeuchi!). I did find Hisoka's new voice super sexy though (though old voice fit better with his psychoticness).

I don't know what the fuck madhouse was smoking when they did both the OP and ending of the new Hunter X Hunter. Those songs sound like explosive diarrhea especially the ending. Not that i ever expected the new anime to top the old one but its pretty disappointing so far.

@hhhspees I wouldn't say 4kids, but defiantly more kid friendly than before. Nothing wrong with that from my experience, but the drawing style of 2011 just seems so bland, watered down and plastic compared to this. Sure, it's from 1999-2001ish, and its style is old looking, but that's the aesthetic the first adaption had..good OST/BGM, the fillers were perfectly acceptable in my opinion, minus a few moments, Killua/Gon and other characters I felt resembled the Manga much more than this remake.

@tiagotojo3 An Manga/anime can have many influences. Not sure if you've seen HunterxHunter but if you have, you can tell that kishimoto was influenced by it. Sasuke's like a combination of Hiei from yuyu hakusho and kurapica from HunterxHunter.

I love how the 1st Opening is cheerful and positive then suddenly the 2nd Opening becomes dark and gloomy. Anyways, one of my top favorite animes, too bad the mangaka is always sick so the manga is on hiatus most of the time. I hope he won't die before the series is finished.
