When you maintained momentum and (as you always seem to do...) showed your aggressive initiative, he seemed to run around like a chicken with his head cut off.
I find elements of warfare like this to be fascinating... Pompey vs Caesar (Pompey should have refused battle)... Saladin vs Richard.
In this particular video, I think GreeksWarLord had a very Sun Tzunian approach. He completely blundered it at the end obviously, and I love when you said:

Like Sun Tzu... GWL put himself in a position to have an advantage against whoever would have been the '2nd last man standing'. He stayed out of the fighting, he marched originally for an advantage, he waited for the one fight 'that would matter'.

I haven't seen a video yet where your opponent has been able to outmaneuver you. With a superior army, you effectively implement flanking maneuvers. With even forces (or outmatched)... you farm short term bursts of advantage (cavalry hammer and anvil strikes) then keep your quick forces moving. Your opponent is constantly forced to react to you and you constantly find openings to exploit.
I love watching Prince's fights. He's methodical, creative... most importantly... he takes the initiative (in the fights I've seen on his channel anyway).
In almost every vid I've seen, you manage to impose your gameplan on your opponent. Even here... it's a primary example. With the superior army... your opponent was not flexible when the fighting started. With an inferior army, you still executed your initiative.

While I understand that in a game like RTW... it's all about the fight, the greatest elements of Sun Tzu's teachings still apply. Through maneuvering your army, you can try to establish every possible condition to ensure your win when you have to fight.
I'm reminded of Saladin vs Richard the Lion heart where Saladin succeeded to repel Richard by simply 'shadowing' and harassing.
I have never played this game, though I will certainly have to try it sometime. I really like strategy intensive and competitive games. I find in war Sun Tzu gives an answer for conducting warfare in it's complexity.

how do you do that thing where u get your army to advance in a derection but they keep their formations you put them in like, and it showes the all the postitions their going to infront ? so at 4:10
@liamrossignol select all your troops by going over them or using (ctrl + A ) and right click to where you want them to advance and press spaceBar that'll show you were they'll end up and what way they will be facing, If you like were they are but not were they're looking use , and . too rotate your army. how do you do that thing where u get your army to advance in a derection but they keep their formations you put them in like, and it showes the all the postitions their going to infront ? so at 4:10

@liamrossignol select all your troops by going over them or using (ctrl + A ) and right click to where you want them to advance and press spaceBar that'll show you were they'll end up and what way they will be facing, If you like were they are but not were they're looking use , and . too rotate your army. Hope i helped. :)
