  • His wife was a spent piece of used jet trash

Made good bloody-marys, kept her mouth

shut most of the time, had a little Chihuahua

named Carlos that had some kind of skin

    disease and was totally blind.

    Quality

  • sergio 's developing a real bad cough

  • Is it weird that this was like my *favorite* song when I was ten? Lol my dad and I would listen to this and bunch of his other stuff, we had the whole thing memorized :) Ah, memories....

  • when one listens to good stuff and then trash the good stuff always sounds better than it used to......lol

  • @paragtime Yeah, sometimes perspective affords a great view...

  • still use the "spent piece used jet trash" line..don't like his later stuff but...

  • @paragtime Give his later stuff time. I hated it for years but tried and tried to like it. Now I love it, and it makes the early ones sound even better

  • Never could stand that dog.

  • Frank settled down in the Valley, and he hung his wild years on a nail that he drove through his wife's forehead.

  • he was so happy..

  • how could you not like this?

  • domestic bliss

  • They had a thoroughly modern kitchen; self-cleaning oven (the whole bit) Frank drove a little sedan. They were so happy. His dry cynical way of telling a story and the organ: laconical and ironical. Tom Waits is a genius. Drove home, doused everything in the house, torched it. Parked across the street laughing, watching it burn, all Halloween orange and chimney red. Frank put on a top forty station, got on the Hollywood Freeway headed North. Never could stand that dog.
  • Anyone know how i can contact this man? I really need to personally thank him for his work.

  • spent piece of used jet trash...

  • I think we all feel like Frank every now and again.

  • love the way he laughs at the end :D

  • The only good thing in jazz is the fast jazz of roaring twenties,Ben Bernie, etc. really cool.

  • At this moment i feel like Frank...

  • 確かにチワワはむかつく

Rain Dogs can't spell so well.

  • @dlp2006 trash.

  • Life

  • Love it man.. Have not heard this for ever..

  • self cleaning oven .....

    laugh my ass off.

  • Swordfishtrombone, Raindogs, and Franks Wild Years(the album) are ground zero for me with Tom Waits. I got turned onto the first two in college at a party where the back room was dimly lit blue with this music playing. I thought what is this music, never heard anything like it and from then on I was hooked. Check out the live film from Waits called Big Time, its killer and probably on the Yube.

  • eno mai podu soportar quel cagurel de merda (iann selvadeg dell francu) great davide van de sfroos!!!!!

  • Oh boy ! What a story.

  • never could stand that dog

  • Yeah! :-)

  • @swampman Spent piece of used jet-trash made good bloody marries and kept her mouth shut most of the time.

  • i am totally in love with Tom Waits!!!! i adore his personality, music, lyrics and everything ! i love the way he looks, his attitude......i think he is one of the greatest people on earth! and this album is a total cult!!! this is one of the most influential albums ever! here he is the producer, so this album is very experimental, and it is a landmark in music history

  • Yeah, Tom is the real deal for sure. Nobody can touch him in my opinion.

  • @jaroussky1 He produced the album? Does that mean he did all the levels and mastering and stuff (or whatever goes into the technical part)? Cause this is still one of the greatest sounding records ever made, it is so clear and punchy, but warm sounding as well. I wish all albums sounded like this.

  • @jaroussky1 If I only could, I would like your comment 100000 times. I agree with everything you wrote :-)
