  • Une version fr?0:18

  • the main thing I remember about Morrowind is that the combat was so horrendously bad.

  • @awsomepossum1340 But you had a more diverse arsenal. Now, up to Skyrim you're pigeonholed with regular swords, daggers, war axes, warhammers, battle axes, greatswords, and regular bow and arrow.

  • French sounds hilarious

  • Dat running animation.

  • @upyoursize

Still better than oblivion running animation

  • @Grimnar655 "insert skyrim animation comment here"

  • Sexy run

  • At 0:25 SWITCHBLADE!

  • Damn I want to play this game but I've only played Oblivion and Skyrim and I dont have a PC or a laptop!!! /:(

  • @LOLz261 controls don't have 2 be the same...duuuuuh, its just an idea.

  • where is that update to windows 7 version

  • wow this was a major graphic improvement from daggerfall

  • @thegreataustralia

Yes ! the difference was huge, but enter Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, the differences are not huge. This last three games have very similar graphic.

  • @Ossinerith

    and simmilar gamplay too :D

  • @Ossinerith They really dont

  • @wrightsprite I think the engine look same, only buffed

  • Morrondows 7 xD

  • so many beautiful memories...

  • I forgot about the funny running animations in this game, man do i miss it...

  • Shut up.

  • Laughing at the psychologists going on about nothing in the comments/

You're both morons who've listened to their parents psychoanalyze your schoolyard bullies to make you feel better about your pathetic lives.

  • I really don't understand why in every video about a videogame there are people arguing and insulting each others for the smallest of reasons...

  • I'm am looking at Elder Scrolls, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 game plays in a order to see what graphics may look like in another 20 years to come.

  • @ThatBigBad

assuming a linear or exponential relationship with time? :P

  • the thing that annoyed me most about this game was how when you'd have an enemy right in front of you and be swinging your weapon like mad and miss almost every time at the start of the game. other than that though it was brilliant.

  • @Ultimatriple7 Haha true, the random combat system was a bitch at times, but that was one of the things that made it kind of fun :)

  • morrowind has better story than oblivion but the combat system sux

  • And what is so special about this? It's the same game, the OS shouldn't have affected it at all.

  • @Ormgaard Well, no one FORCED you to use fast travel. I completed oblivion without using it (mainly to increase my Athletics). Besides, i don't see much difference from the fast travel and stiltstriders/mark and recall etc. You just don't have to switch striders a couple of times to get to where you want to go. Still, you had to pay for it in Morrowind so encouraged you to explore. Oblivion's quests had you going from one corner of the map to another constantly. Who'd want to walk all that way?

  • @crashnburner187 No one forced you? Not directly, but you name it yourself, Oblivion's quests sent you from one corner of the map to the opposite one. The whole quest design is based around the presumption that you use fast travel. Morrowind's didnt, most early quests sent you somewhere in the nearer areas, if you had to travel far you were told so and it felt like you're traveling far away. Furthermore, Morrowind's fast travel was that much more believable, not just simple map clicking.

  • @scornie you have a point... but still, i like them both. Morrowind has more depth, but Oblivion's easier to get into.

  • @crashnburner187 You're definitely right with that. I preferred Morrowind over Oblivion since it was harder to get into but once you did, it was a lot more immersive and offered so much more... but its good that tastes differ :)

  • @scornie Yes. I always found the dungeons, caves, ruins etc. in oblivion to be bland. You never found any good stuff in them or anything.

  • @crashnburner187 oblivion = colorful and generic. morrowind = dark and creepy

  • @Golemoid I do prefer morrowind's visual style. It's more interesting than just trees and grass.

  • @crashnburner187 i know right? but its sometimes depressing, all those ashlands and swamps, all dark and sad. Theres barely any green, but thats understandable, its dark elves land after all. I liked though how it was more serious and deep than oblivion, there was slavery, mafia, drugs, xenophobic natives, religion conflicts and whatnot. You dont see that kind of stuff in video games very often. Oblivion on the other hand is a cheerful, political correct world where everything is perfect.

  • @Golemoid not exactly a perfect politically correct world when you get beneath the surface, but i agree that it's less deep than Morrowind. I also preferred the dungeons in morrowind as in oblivion, it was pointless to dungeon-crawl due to the leveling system.

  • this my favorite bethesda game ever its so fun

  • @Ormgaard um no :D

  • not impressed. get Daggerfall to run perfectly on Win 7, then we'll talk....

  • @gotohellgooglization dunno about perfect, but this works well enough. theelderscrolls(DOT)wiwiland(DOT)net/?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN

  • Classic game

  • i might buy morrowind, how many hours will i get out of it?

  • @BRADARISTA Your whole life.

  • @BRADARISTA You laugh like he's joking. lol.

  • @BRADARISTA Fucking many hours :D the only thing i dont like abut it is there is only text no talking but the text makes it ALOT! faster sooo...

  • Just like it was yesterday... damn, I'm getting old ^^

  • Did it work for you fine or did you have to do anything to play it properly?

  • @Jankock767 I just finished the game on windows 7, normal install, no problems ^^

  • How did you achieve 1920x1080?

  • Dat run

  • ah, so every race runs like a jack-ass then? not just argonians :P

  • why he runs like that?

  • what mod do you have where everyone talks in a weird language?

  • @SuperTregs: Possibly they just play the game in another language, not everyone speaks english you know :P

  • @SuperTregs Um, it's French. So obviously this is a French player.

  • And I thought Minecraft had bad graphics..

  • @iDesuFX and i thought stupid people like you where purged from the gene pool.

  • @halopwner179 Problem?

  • @iDesuFX gaiafag.

  • @halopwner179 Problem.

  • @iDesuFX cancer.

  • @iDesuFX I hate to break it to you but i think halopwner179 doesn't like you. [:(]

  • @iDesuFX What do you think people will say about todays games in 10 years. XD

  • how did codename 47 get into morrowind :D

  • When you start playing Morrowind (again), I recommend getting the view distance mod to it. Adds real excitement to exploring.. being able to see distant lands and far away towers that you just -have to- travel to for exploration! It doesn't affect the gameplay otherwise so it's still "vanilla", thus unspoiled. After finishing my Oblivion, I'll have to revisit Morrowind before Skyrim comes out. BTW check out Daggerfall too. (It's free, and it has female nudity!)

  • Never played this. First game i played was Oblivion.

Watchin this. Oblivion is the Doggs Danglies

  • I NEED HELP! I have got a copy of morrowind and for some retarted reason it is in some wierd language (i duno wtf it is!), how do i change it???

  • @ninjanoogut You'll need to buy a copy in your own language, Morrowind doesn't have language settings.

  • mudcrabs! brings back so many fond memories

  • @oliverxboxable ye it does rtw wrks and all the expansions wrk

  • @oliverxboxable Yes it will, I played it on Windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

  • yeah, I don't konw if I can go back to this seems kinda lame

  • yay, no more lag :)

  • the best elder scrolls game

  • @eragonalex think you that it will better thane skyrim be ,too

  • @eragonalex if you dont count skyrim and oblivion

  • @cplhicks4744 Oblivion sucked and we don't know about Skyrim yet.

  • @Xiras1985 why do people keep saying that oblivion sucked? it took morrowind, fixed the main problems it had (or at least, I had), gave it better graphics, fixed the training system so you couldn't max out your character in a few minutes with a lot of gold, got rid of the goddamn Cliff Racers, made it so you didn't have to walk halfway across Vvardenfell and back just to do a quest...

  • @crashnburner187 Becouse Morrowind was made with love for details, which I couldn't say about Oblivion. Also I remind you of that anoying Wisps in Oblivion and also I hated the level scaling in Oblivion. "I'm a LVL25 superhero in a complete elven armor! OH NO! RATS! THEY ARE GOING TO GET ME! *dead*"

  • @Xiras1985 I agree about the level scaling, but in morrowind, there's no level scaling at all. At least oblivion had a level cap for each creature to stop things from getting too silly. In morrowind, Dagoth Ur is only level 20. I tried so hard to level up to level 30, as I guessed that would have been around his level, then I went to fight him and he went down like the Hindenburg. Level scaling could have helped make him more difficult for the high level players. They're both good games, still.

  • @eragonalex um no

  • @eragonalex I think Oblivion is a littlebit better.

  • @eragonalex OBLIVION IS BETTER

  • @TheFp333 Oblivion was the worst game in the whole franchise...

  • @xlaleclx No it wasn't, Oblivion was awesome.

  • @badkiller2 oblivion was the worst of the series. it was groundbreaking in its time but it doesn't have nearly the depth morrowind or daggerfall had. it was more of an action/rpg than an rpg. it left the roots a little too much SO if you enjoy hack n slash that's fine but from an elderscrolls series point of view it was definitely the worst.

  • @TheRaellz Lousy hit detection and one-per-time battle animation beg to differ with your argument of it being a hack 'n' Slash. If you really are comparing it to Morrowind, then yes, it was smaller and had less in depth side quests and story, but it had better overall gameplay, dungeons that actually differ, and a combat system that DOESN'T make you want to kill yourself. and comparing it to Daggerfall is just cheap, DF is the size of half of England.

  • @badkiller2 in my years of playing morrowind i have never had an issue with hit detection.

battle animation? if you're doing combat in 3rd person then that is your choice. how does a simple animation change take it from being a great game to a shitty one?? you're a graphic whore who doesn't have any standards when it comes to RPGs. i believe you're probably a power gamer as well...

the size of the game also does not matter. take Oblivion for example. pretty big (by no comparison) but...

  • @badkiller2 if you go walking around most of the time all you will find is generally nice scenery. hills, rocks, trees, plants etc. nothing exciting down every road or over every hill.

depth, replay value are of no interest to you it seems.. you just don't have proper standards. i recommend God of War for you if you're looking for a hack n slash with minor RPG traits.

  • @TheRaellz You are pathetic. You think you're Hardcore or something for questioning my devotion as an RPG player? You don't even know me, yet you judge me all the same as if I was your friend. I just said Oblivion wasn't a hack 'n' Slash, and I do look for depth in a game, it's the little things that count. Oh and like there was anything exciting about Morrowind's secenery. Jackass. You sad, little man. What right do you have to judge ME? your not a real gamer, your just a hater.

  • @badkiller2 "you are pathetic" the feeble mind trying to express itself forcefully. with those 3 words you've already been defeated mentally so why should i even bother to read the rest of your little temper tantrum??

    =)

  • @TheRaellz Cute. using big words to make yourself feel smarter? I think we both know you are a failure.

I'm not even going to get into this. your not worth my time because you do not know reason. Later, faggot.

  • @badkiller2 big words... i haven't used any big words but if you think 6-7 letter words are big then you're truly limited in your vocabulary. if anything you're trying to insult me to paint up the delusional world you live in so you feel more secure about your shortcomings.

    that about right? ;)

  • @TheRaellz BLAM! Owned that bitch hardcore.

  • @TheRaellz

I fear for what Bethesda will do to The Elder Scrolls 6. I miss those Morrowind days when you actually had to search for your next objective. Remember when you had to look for the Cavern of the Incarnate (3rd trial) and all you got was a riddle? It took me hours to find the damn cave :). But when i found it, i had a great feeling of accomplishment. Oblivion was nothing compared to Morrowind. I like Skyrim, but it's too dumbed down and everything about it screams console.

  • @Troublesome2008 Yeah, I think I had trouble finding that place as well. I agree with you. Games are more streamlined because of the majority of kids wanting to just power play through everything and it ruins it for the real fans. It's a shame we're so outnumbered.

  • @Troublesome2008 I have an idea for what they should do. The fast travel and compass should be turned off on the higher difficulties. That way casuals could enjoy the game, without having to dumb the game down.

  • @xlaleclx Like ur mother

  • @TheFp333 Maby morrowind had more expansions and much more fun enviroment but come on.. its oblivion. Pepole fall through the ground and die, duplicate glitch and so much more random shit really makes it worth playing

  • @eragonalex Fuck no, Daggerfall allll the way!. And it's a long way, believe me.

Even if Bethesda would want to remake Daggerfall, it's near impossible. Why? Simple. Morrowind takes place on, well, Morrowind. Oblivion takes place in Cyrodiil, and Skyrim is Skyrim.

But Daggerfall takes place on . . . Tamriel. ALL OF IT. So unless Bethesda plans on making this game weights 50++ Gigs, A remake for Daggerfall is not going to happen... Bleh.

  • @badkiller2 The original is always the best.

    (Arena)

  • @ChaosSolider1

So,you're saying that Arena was better than Skyrim,or Oblivion?WTF

  • @Methecookie3456 The original was bad ass due to the fact that it started the Elder Scrolls.

  • 1:23 SUCK DICK!

  • Graphics dont make a game. The ability to occupy like 3 years of my life does.

  • @HippyamongHicks 3 years for you. its like 8 years for me

  • dude it looks the same ????

  • @nakedino

I wasn't aware that it was supposed to look any different...

The dude more than likely posted this video to show that it does in fact work on windows 7 systems.

  • ahhh the music eargasm

  • im going to get this game and im running windows 7 have you ever thought about using the graphic extender for this game??

  • the person runs perfectly normal

  • @SandwidgeVids stfu ancient games have ancient animations. this game was the shit when it first came out.

  • Ok wtf. Im getting the "Morrowind has crashed and must close down" error. Help plz?

  • @Livasyandrew Running windows 7 btw

  • graphics are not best, but the story is awasome.

  • OMG french lol

  • cmon the graphics arnt thaaat bad

  • although the game is one of my favorites of all time, you gotta laugh at the miserable graphics.

  • can you run it on vista ultimate (64-bit) aswell?

  • YEAH! KILL THAT DIRTY MUDCRAB!

  • Looks hot. Way better than my sexbox.

Did you really need to take the clothes off that guys back!? :P
