Lived in Annapoiis from 1988-2004. Great experience. Back at home now, San Diego, Ca. Retired. Things i miss about Annapolis. USNA events.Holiday Boat parade. Snow. Afternoon thunderstorms, Blue Angels and random fly bys.Lightening Bugs. Locusts (cicadas)Sense of history. Bar scene and local musicians. DC for 4th of July and the Smithsonians and the monuments.Sayings like "Annapolis, Md. A drinking town with a sailing problem." Annapolis, sailboat capital of the world.

Hey, I'm a life long Annapolitan. I love the city. Never plan to leave after college. It's equal distance to DC and Baltimore. I would describe it as small town with a big city influence. Crime a little bit on the problematic side for the city of our size, but has been improving. Housing is on the expensive size. BWI airport is an excellent airport!

@jkpcguru what fucking crime? nothing happens here. The worst you have are Annapolis High Kids skating in the mall and Broadneck kids throwing parties in Cape. I have not heard shit about robberies, drive-by's, etc.

@iPhone4TechRun yeah but thats anywhere. Go up to Baltimore you have 200 times more of those and most likely actual illegal street racing. The only thing I read in the paper that happened recently was some dude who lived on Solomon's Island Road crashing three police cars with his pickup truck and getting convicted of 1st and 2nd degree assault, attempted murder, manslaughter, destruction of property, etc. but thats not even badass that's just being a psychopath and that usually never happens.

Lol I'm from Broadneck, or "mago vista", and I use to throw parties in Cape when I lived there...funny.

Cape + Vista was my shit, wish I still lived there and not in shitty West Virgina....Man the memories I have of arnold...greatest place to grow up ever.

@Breakneckhydra1 I mean it's my shit too. I go up to cape beach all the time when I have free time. I mean this summer was pretty dope and there were a few bangers I went to and the girl who threw the party in eastport is in hella trouble but not many people throw them. Other than that, Annapolis is soft. I have lived here forever and its dull as shit. Good town for tourists maybe but for locals its redundant.

I live out in the sticks here in West Virgina now, but what I loved about Arnold was a bike / moped will get you to where you need to get mostly, I was 16 riding a moped on Richie highway and Jones Station road going up to Marley-station mall with no license, gettin shit done. Up in the mountains its hard enough to drive a car to places up here with all these long bendy roads you either don't wana go anywhere or get lost trying to get there.
