German is my first language so I don't need google what the German subtitles are.
He says both terms. At 0:54, 1:14 it's "Fettsack" and at 0:10, 0:13 he says "Saftsack" the latter phonetically corresponding to what you understood as "SAF ZUK". Even a non-German ear can spot the difference between these two. Maybe the dubbed version deviates from the subtitles but the line goes as: "Wie ist Ihr Name, Saftsack?". If I google that line I find people quoting lines from FMJ.
Ober Feldwebel Over Sergeant (1SG or SGM). He got freaked out by GYSGT Hartman.... He got his ass burned. Weebles Wobble but this one got knocked down! If they'd lear to laugh, they'd handle it better. Love the Germans, but they've got to take the corks out.
i bet that Oberfieldwabel sgt hoffmann is holding a desk-job...if he's in a field unit then the guy who dared to prank a senior NCO would probably got his head ripped off in the next five minutes LOL
Feldwebel traditionally in the German military is a non-commissioned rank. The SS referred to this rank as Obersharfuhrer. Non-comissioned officers in the old days would start with piping on the collar and would be above the rank of obergefreiter(corporal). Unteroffizier would have complete piping on the epaulet then feldwebel would add a pip...
oberweldwebel 2 pips...hauptfeldwebel.. 3pips
then leutnant. I love this video cause Hartmann mixes in some English with his formal German.
Well, I am not military, but is there no Gunnery Sergeant in the Birtish or Australian army? man, you got so many lacks in your post I almost took over your "Seargent". Watch out some more dude.
What's that term for "fat body"? It sounds like "ZAF ZUK".

Ah I see that you actually referred to "Saftsack" (ZAF ZUK) which is lit. juice bag.
stuckonautomatic 2 weeks ago
@stuckonautomatic You know what would solve this? A quick Google to '"full metal jacket" deutch subtitles'. Lessee...
I've found a few, and I don't know this line is, but searching through I get:
-Name, Fettsack?
-Sir, Leonard Lawrence, Sir!
Rauf da, Fettsack!
Weil du ein widerlicher Fettsack bist,
Soldat Pyle!
Es war nur ein böser Traum, Fettsack.
Nothing for "saftsack". Looks like you were right the first time.

Sorry you feel that way. But with a sense of humour like that, liebe schön, you don't need to be a German, why you could be a... boring feminist!

Actually, Gunnery Sergeant is an exlusive rank of the USMC. Anyway, there are only US bases in southern Germany, so it'd be a reasonable assosiation.
And yes, I got so many legs, it's almost impressive :)
