I can't understand how U.S.A. as a free country, prayer is taken out of our schools and that teachers can't pray with their students, but yet in China a communist country is where we find Christian professors evangelizing and saving souls. We wonder why U.S.A. is struggling so much. Have we considered all that is happening we are to blame ourselves mostly?

God is still there....they haven't kicked God out of anything. Some schools have Christian clubs and they have the yearly national day of prayer at the flag. Teachers are just not allowed to run the classes, the students do it. God always wins!!
This song was on a tape we were given by our youth pastor at our last night for those of that had graduated Jr. High. As a teenager, you find it difficult to go against the flow because you really are pulled in so many directions. And while I did get pulled in the wrong directions, I would always find my way back...to my first love, Jesus! Thank-You Jesus for not giving up on me and for my wife who's first love is you as well and may that show to those around us!
I love the idea of the children and teacher praying together in school. We so need God back in our schools. He is still there with those who love Him, but the school systems have kicked Him out and they wonder why we have so much trouble in schools now.

@oneum88 IMy comment had nothing to do with hatred toward Jesus from schools, although I know first hand that there are some who hate the idea of Him even being mentioned in school. My point in posting my comment is there are stats & proof when Jesus and His Word were removed from our schools, crime, drugs and alcohol and the number of failing students rose. Those are facts, not an opinion. The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosopy of government in the next.
@Sparkiview2000 I gotta say I work a couple days at the local grade school. These kids need warm clothes a hot meal and a bath long before we can worry about getting them to pray. I don´t think Christian music is for one or tow persons, we must to share the truth. If I didn't listen Christian bands probably I didn't came back to my faith. I'm a Catholic but I'm a true believer in Jesus Christ. I thank that people on Stryper, Guardian or Petra bands because tehy make me read the bible to understand that God is the only answer I need to love my life. I was so excited about the video that I spelled love all wrong; but you all know what I'm talking about. Why does anyone bother to post negative or hateful comments to a Christian song if they believe it's all made up? If this is fiction, and mean nothing to you, what's your freakin' problem? Very beautiful song, but I think "Council of the holy" is their fines moment. A bit of power going on.

You can dislike a band, no problem. But the put-downs of requiring a low IQ and ignorance to enjoy it, come off as defensive on your part to God speaking to you through this music.
It's OK though. Just sit with that. God will make himself real to you in his own time. I'll be praying for you homie.

Yeah :) Nice to see Petra here on youtube :) I have 3-4 albums of Petra :) When I was younger and was 14-16 years old I was on This Means War concert with Petra here around my hometown Aaleund :) I still listening to my Petra albums once in a while :) Did you know Greg X Volz was the previous Petra vocalist?

My fave PETRA song! In REVELATION Jesus warns us to repent if we have lost our first love relationship with Him. To return to our "first love" with Him.
If you want to return and/or stay in FIRST LOVE, He is faithful to make it so ^-^

dude....people turn away from christ ALOT and for varieties of thier justifications...it happens..whether you accept that or not is not anyones problem.. it happens.I have a few freinds that have done just that..one of them in seattle was a devoted youth leader.......not now thats for sure.

I never got the chance to see Petra. My wife saw them twice, once with Greg X. Volz and once with John W. Schlitt, singing this song. My wife intro'd me to their music and I love her for that. God works in way we can't comprehend and I'm so thankful for Petra for how they convey the Lords love to us all. By the way, I'm going to see II Guys from Petra (John and Bob) this Saturday in Oceanside, Ca. It's not the group Petra but it may as well be, right!! Bless all...

I was so excited about the video that I spelled love all wrong; but you all know what I'm talking about. This song has so much meaning and just looking at the video and hearing the lyrics bring tears to my eyes because the flesh wants to do its own thing but God has a way to get our attention and lead me back to the right path also does anyone know if the group ever done a video for the song "This is my Prayer" from the "Beyond Believe" album. That was another of their powerful songs.
