FYI, in Shakespearean days, young boys play the role of women because before their voice changed, before their masculine build develops, they do pass for natural born women very well if you dress them as women.

Of course I agree Donny has matured and sounded masculine since he was 15.

I made my comment of him sounding like a girl based on his high pitched unchanged voice at the time.

In fact, many who heard his song including myself when I was a little girl,

such a high pitch voice is usually associated with a female voice.

This song maybe a little childish (could be boy or girl) but many other of his songs before his voice changed do sound like a girl.

Donny Osmond is going to be a participant in ' Dancing with the Stars " in the US. Marie Osmond participated last year but she did not win.

I think by the time Donny recorded "Sweet and Innocent", he no longer sounded like Jimmy.

Donny's voice sounded stronger than Jimmy and more shrill/metallic sounding than Marie up until it changed.

Hi Leighannelizabeth15, you worded it so nicely. Yes, the soft gentle undertones of the voice is very Donny sounding. But the youthfulness is very Jimmy sounding.

Jimmy's voice may sound very young but his singing style is more rough compared to Donny.

Donny's style is more refined.
