  • Who were you more for Carly?

  • I wasn't more for anyone, since I wasn't alive, but I am a bigger fan of Alydar

  • Unfortunetely the loud music ruins this video by drowning out the stretch calls.

  • Unfortunately many of the audio of the races was to quite even without the music

  • It is amazing that Alydar is the only horse to come second in the Triple Crown races.

  • I never would have expected Alydar to win the Derby if I'd watched their 2 year old series. When it's head to head it's always Affirmed.

I remember a very sharp guy pointing that out on the eve of the '78 Derby. He couldn't understand why Alydar was favored.

  • Nice work, Carly! Take care.

  • great job Carly, this truly shows Affirmed and Alydar's rivalry!

  • Alydar continues to amaze me. Even when some of the races were obviously lost, he always kept driving.

  • A disgusting decision by the Saratoga stewards. Races shouldnt be decided by sympathy votes.

  • soz yea

  • great but y was affirmed disqualified

  • He went into Alydar's path.

    I showed it twice

  • Amazing video! There rivalry was always amazing to me, I doubt we will ever be seeing that anytime soon. Within the Triple Crown Races, I mean.

  • First off, again, love the video. Great work once again and I love tghe fact that you made the video with Affirmed and Alydar. To add to the comments below, I agree (ragstoricheslover). Although Affirmed won the crown, Alydar will forever have just as much respect as Affirmed did which is not seen in other sports considering the loser is often forgotten. I easily think this is one of the greatest rivalries in sports history.

  • That was amazing 5/5 :)

  • I love Alydar...Affirmed was a great horse, but Alydar had stolen my heart and continues to. I loved the Champagne...where he just comes roaring from out of no where... They were just so good, the triple crown could've gone either way...great job Carly!

  • Can't help but wonder if they'd switched jockeys if the results would have switched too, in the Belmont anyway.

  • what a rivalry. it will probably never ever be matched.
