  • TETRIS!!!!!

  • Hi, just thought i'd point out that the euphonium is a Tenor Tuba hence why they're found in the Tuba quartet. The Baritone however is a member of the Horn family, which is why it's known as the Baritone-Horn. wit Size the Baritone is smaller in height and width as well as being slimmer than the euph. sound wise there is a difference, the Baritone sounds like a Horn or Trombone, whereas the euph has it's own sound which is similar to a tuba, hence the Euph normally has tuba cues on it's music.

  • : O zzz..zz..zzz

  • LOL

  • ZZZZZZzzzzzzz.......

  • um, what's with the picture in the back... can't take my eyes off of it

  • The man in the picture is Sri Swami Satchidananda.

My question is: why do they have his image there? O_o

  • maybe they do yoga in there?

  • lol

    Maybe...

    who knows...?

  • the question is: Maybe they doing Yoga?

  • question...prolly a very stupid question which i might get flamed to hell for =p

what is the difference between the baritone and the euphonium?

i play in my high school's beginning band (alto sax) and we have 2 baritone players and one of the baritone looks like your euphonium...except brass not silver...

maybe it doesnt look like it...just i dont stare at it and get an imagine burned into my mind but it does look similar =]

any help will be greatly appreciated =D!

  • in terms of pitch, absolutely nothing! and both can come with 3 or 4 valves. in terms of appearance, they look similar but euphoniums are generally noticeably bigger! euphs are capable of a much mellower, bigger sound. best instrument there is. ;D

  • oo kewlio =D!

i play alto saxophone but i want to play a brass instrument other than trumpet or trombone....

    ty for the information =D!

  • well euphonium is the perfect horn to choose....it has such a warm beautiful tone....makes any brass section :)

  • sweet! that was awesome!

  • hahahah waseome LOL @ the final xD u rock

  • That was awesome. Great job. 6 Stars!!!

  • I'm getting older now and am starting to wish I never sold my euphonium for beer money. This cinches it. I'm gonna have to get another one.

BTW, does that euphonium have a 4th valve there? I thought I heard a few notes that should have been 1st and 3rd.

  • it has a 4th valve, look at his left hand

  • haha nice combination, and yea if the euphonium got the melody sometime in there it would have been sick. the guitar player seems to be having a lot of fun haha he cant keep a straight face

  • TETRIS!!!! lol, it'd be better if the euphonium grabbed some melody..

  • That's what I was thinking, too.

  • awesome

    5/5

  • fantastici!!!!!!!!!!

  • go youfoneum guy!!!

  • is there any way i could get some tabs plz?

  • I just downloaded a MIDI file and worked it out from that. If you've got a MAC you can drag and drop the Tetris.midi file into Garageband and then you can slow it down and work it out

  • idk if my comp is a mac or not. i don't know much about them.

  • @sameberle This is so cool!

  • Dude - did you just call that a baritone? You couldn't be further from the truth! lol

Awesome Guitar playing - you seem really talented. Shame we couldn't have heard more of the Euphonium players talent!!!!! Bass notes make Euphoniums under-rated, and me very unhappy :(

  • whos picture is that of? that one way in the back?

  • Swami Satchidananda

  • hahaha! Thats what I said when I heard it first! It's pretty much a small tuba.

  • Actually it just looks like a small tuba. It really sounds more like a trombone (similar range), but with a more covered, less edgy sound.

  • wats a euphonium?

  • Very interesting combo. Nicely done!!

  • Nicely performed!

  • Rock n' Roll
