This is the top of the mountain feel good late 60's gem of a song. If every person young or old listened to this music the world would be a better place. Love your fellow man that is what they sing. Be there for me. One hit wonder that I love to blast on the speakers. Right on!
Bonnie Lamdin Phipps, the lead singer, is now an administrator for a large hospital in Baltimore. Just as pretty as she was back in this 1970 video and a real classy lady! One of my favorite songs of college days in the '60's - 70's!....thanks PR!
1969- 1970 What an exciting time it was to be young and alive. So much going on in the world, with so many expectations for us to change things and make it a better place to live. This song and this group are a great example of how great it felt to be in that generation. Too bad we didn't change the world enough to keep it from becoming what it is now.
Is this not a little racy for it's time? For a mainstream pop song or was this considered to be more of alternative in this era? They remind of a group in later times that did Afternoon Delight-I do not know the name of that group. It is a fun little song I must say. I am born in 1983 so these times are not known to me personally.
@japinvt LOL ...it came out when i was a kid. Had no idea what she was talking about. I do remember me seeing them on TV and thinking how beautiful the sisters were.
@weezerz The girls are so pretty but the boys not so much! They sing so strong and clear. I wonder if he does stay-after Sunday that is? The song captures also the weekend feeling and not wanting it to end and so it tells a very cool little story.
I loved this song when it first came out (I was ten) and I still love it. Thanks for posting the video. I remember seeing the band on TV doing this and "Don't Wake Me Up in the Morning Michael." What memories. I had a crush on the guy on the left.
I SECOND THE MOTION ON "A WHITE FIFTH DIMENSION". MAN THIS BAND IS OUTTASIGHT. MY 2nd NEW BAND DISCOVERY FOR THE DAY BOTH DISCOVERED BY CASS ELLIOT. (3's A CROWD).
I wonder if Patty still has those beautiful eyes.

This group is the brainchild of the guy responsible for the song 'Na Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye', I beleive his name is Paul Leka.

How is it that such a simple thing as a pop song can be so good?

Interestingly, one of the singers, Bonnie Lambdin, is now Bonnie Lambdin Phipps, CEO of St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.
