Recently I had a situation where an I was in a fight with an elder, and the eldery person was in the wrong. They were talking bad about our Worship leader at Church. I said something to that person and I'm not sure if it was wrong or right, I did have a good point however. I asked the older person if she was filled with the Holy Spirit and if she worshiped with her heart. Would someone please help me out by replying and telling me if it is wrong to ask an elder that, when they are doing wrong.

I have questioned God about my life, why things have happened to me, why I seem to go through all the hardships of life as my peers seem to have it perfect. I had to hit rock bottom before I could start looking up again. Got to the point where I just didn't care and I rolled my truck, at that point I realized God spaired my life to show his mercy and grace for me. I will never let go.

@starwrasfan1 No, the commandment is "Thou shall not murder". There is a difference. Killing someone in cold blood is murder, but in deffense of oneself, others, or their country, it is justified. The bible even tells how a soldier should act (although i don't remember where)
@starwrasfan1 of course God is mad at the people that kill and sin, but do you kill? if not, if you are doing His work and trying to not sin with everything you are, than He will look on you with mercy. I am 13 and I came to that conclusion on my own.
@starwrasfan1 A soldier kills to defend others from evil. God went through this with King David in the bible. David had to kill God's enemies & defend Israel & God did not judge Him for it. This is because David's heart was right with God, & He never killed anyone who was not going to kill God's people (remember Him sparing Saul etc). Despite this God would not let David build His temple because blood was on His hands. The only time He condemned David was over Bathsheba's husband.

Do you let the sorrow consume you, and keep pounding at you until there's nothing left? All that does is hurt you and the people around you. This song makes me cry. From my earliest memories I was severly sexually, physically, and emotionally abused. I was a mess. A few years ago I had someone asked me what on earth is was that made me keep picking myself up and pushing forward. I told her that I had to believe that I served a God that was there for me, and if I can just keep holding on that He'll come through for me someday.
In the past year i lost my Grandpa, who i was very close with, and one of my best friends to suicide. This year has been very rough and its hard for me to keep a hold of God's presence in my life. I still believe but i have to remind myself to not give up in Him because i know he is out there.

I too have had a hard life. I praise God for my pain and turmoil for it has opened my heart to him through the suffering I have had endured. He has guided me through so much and has made his presence known to me through suffering. My suffering is my blessing. I hope God continues working in my life, whether it be through pain or joy.

Recently I had a situation where an I was in a fight with an elder, and the eldery person was in the wrong. They were talking bad about our Worship leader at Church. I said something to that person and I'm not sure if it was wrong or right, I did have a good point however. I asked the older person if she was filled with the Holy Spirit and if she worshiped with her heart. Would someone please help me out by replying and telling me if it is wrong to ask an elder that, when they are doing wrong.

I have questioned God about my life, why things have happened to me, why I seem to go through all the hardships of life as my peers seem to have it perfect. I had to hit rock bottom before I could start looking up again. Got to the point where I just didn't care and I rolled my truck, at that point I realized God spaired my life to show his mercy and grace for me. I will never let go.

@starwrasfan1 No, the commandment is "Thou shall not murder". There is a difference. Killing someone in cold blood is murder, but in deffense of oneself, others, or their country, it is justified. The bible even tells how a soldier should act (although i don't remember where)

@starwrasfan1 A soldier kills to defend others from evil. God went through this with King David in the bible. David had to kill God's enemies & defend Israel & God did not judge Him for it. This is because David's heart was right with God, & He never killed anyone who was not going to kill God's people (remember Him sparing Saul etc). Despite this God would not let David build His temple because blood was on His hands. The only time He condemned David was over Bathsheba's husband.

I have been suffering from migraines,Fatigue,insomnia,racing thoughts,anxiety. for 2 months i had to drop out of college and soccer because of this. also the holidays coming around i am not well..makes me sad. I don't understand why god is doing this to me. Maybe it isn't even him at all? or he is trying to make me stronger? i don't know..i feel like everything is just too much to handle anymore.but i wont giveup.

@thedanielchannel1 A song that focuses on never giving up and never being alone? How is that bad at all? What do you turn to when your life falls apart? Do you let the sorrow consume you, and keep pounding at you until there's nothing left? All that does is hurt you and the people around you. Anything you do will not be done as well as what you normally would, and you'll be constantly suffering if your life is in shambles, and the only one who can fix it is God.

This song makes me cry. From my earliest memories I was severly sexually, physically, and emotionally abused. I was a mess. A few years ago I had someone asked me what on earth is was that made me keep picking myself up and pushing forward. I told her that I had to believe that I served a God that was there for me, and if I can just keep holding on that He'll come through for me someday.

In the past year i lost my Grandpa, who i was very close with, and one of my best friends to suicide. This year has been very rough and its hard for me to keep a hold of God's presence in my life. I still believe but i have to remind myself to not give up in Him because i know he is out there.

I too have had a hard life. I praise God for my pain and turmoil for it has opened my heart to him through the suffering I have had endured. He has guided me through so much and has made his presence known to me through suffering. My suffering is my blessing. I hope God continues working in my life, whether it be through pain or joy.

@KioraKara i know how you feel. both my dad and brother are alcoholics. my dad started when he was like 20 and he is 55 now. my brother started at the same age and he is 29. my mom is the only adult in our family that doesn't smoke or does alcohol. i just hope i dont do the same. i still have a long way to go cuz im only 17. but i hope i follow my moms way. so just to let you know that your not the only one suffering
