The Video shows very possible the Autumm in Sweden...then followed by the long long Winter Darkness full depressive feelings.

I wanna know what compelled Benny and Bjorn to write a song like this...because this is just...soo emotionally charged. Sound engineer Michael Tretow said the mood in the studio was sad and Agnetha recorded her track with the lights off.because everyone there knew "this was the end".

This is one of Abba's finest ever songs yet it was one of least successful chart-wise. It's one of those rare songs that still sound as good today as it did back then!....but then again Abba have a number of songs that fall into that category. You can keep your Beatles - Abba were far better!
@maverick283 I agree wholeheartedly! Beatles were pants compared to the operatic blessings of ABBA who I think were sound-craftsmen!!! Their songs sound like massive landscapes, like the ones you can only see in Sweden probably.

This is one of Abba's finest ever songs yet it was one of least successful chart-wise. It's one of those rare songs that still sound as good today as it did back then!....but then again Abba have a number of songs that fall into that category. You can keep your Beatles - Abba were far better!

@maverick283 I agree wholeheartedly! Beatles were pants compared to the operatic blessings of ABBA who I think were sound-craftsmen!!! Their songs sound like massive landscapes, like the ones you can only see in Sweden probably.

@rogbow69 My dear everybody have a different point of view about music...and then so i support that my beatles cannot be compare with abba then that is a fact...they are different but it doesn´t mean that beatles are better than abba or abba better than beatles, in fact my preferance goes for abba and then so doesn´t mean also that they are the best in the world just a different way to enoy the music, and remember that beatles is not all about music.

@maverick283 Totally agree, it's a bit too sophisticated for most of their fans I'm afraid, but I think it's their best ever. As for the Beatles, I've always found their music quite banal, there are many many better bands from their era and later.

The man she smiles at looks like a young Ray Lonnen (Sandbaggers, Harry's Game). I don't suppose he is - he looks too old in Harry's Game (1983) to have been young enough to play this a couple of years earlier. But very like!

I do wonder, though...how is it that it only took her an hour and fifteen minutes to get to work but three hours to get home? I wouldn't think that a commuter train would be subject to traffic jams.

One of the most mature songs ever made by ABBA. Love the fragile way in which Agneta is singing - her voice is breaking almost. I was 15 when this song aired for the first time, and did not understand what it meant back then - but I felt it!
