  • "So they knew they'd won in 1942???"

  • Thank you GRETAT BRITISH cinema at its VERY best! Go dame thora!!!!!!

  • Great movie.Doesn't seem as dated. But it doesn't make sense why it is regarded as propaganda. After all given the ruthless enemies the Germans were no possibility could have been ruled out.Anyways, would anyone be nice enough to tell me which among the little girls was the young Janette Scott???PLZ..she's one of my fav English actresses of yesteryears.

  • Thanks for these postings - this is a classic. It's History I think, not just for Thora Hurd! - but this is British wartime Propaganda. A fantastic contrast to the sophisticated pageantry of Nazi propaganda.Shows how you get into the psyche of people - play on their fear, make the situation real to them. I think this is brilliant and appreciate you waving the flag for the old movies.

  • Thanks for the post! It was shown recently as a special screening at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Unfortunately missed it, but did manage to see Cavalcanti's They Made Me a Fugitive with Trevor Howard. I look forward to seeing this now – thanks again for putting her up!
